Mar 23, 2009When my website loads I would like some objects to come up from the bottom of the screen, no matter what size the screen is.Does anyone know how to do this?

It works when i roll over and it stops when i roll out, but then it continues in a loop up to the point where i rolled out (instead of cutting off completely as i would like). Mar 13, 2011I am having an issue with an animation constructed on a Mac using CS4 appearing differently when viewed online using a PC. When viewed on a PC the letter 'a' within the logo drops below the border of the small red square. On a Mac it appears as designed, centered within the red square. Website [URL]. It seems to be a PC hardware difference as the animation appears incorrectly using either IE and Safari using a PC while on a mac on all available browsers, Safari, Firefox,Opera, Flock the animation displays correctly.

Flash8 :: Seeing All Layers In Animation?
Mar 13, 2009I am trying to make an animation in which different layers (=images) come into the stage, then stay in place and other layers move in and stay as well. I have done 2 of the layers so far, converted them into movie clips, tweened them etc. When I run the cursor along the timeline, I see the desired result on the stage, ie everything comes in at the right time and stays in place. However, when I export it to view the film, only the first layer comes in, moves into place and stays there, and then nothing happens, ie the second layer never comes in.
I've tried everything I can think of, moving the layers around etc, and have deleted and redone the whole thing many times in an attempt to fix this, but I simply don't know what is wrong.

Jul 12, 2004i'm trying to dynamically layout a calendar using actionscript and i'm no good at determining algorithms to quickly and efficiently lay things out.what i want to do is set it up per the image attached:
* where there are 7 columns and a varying number of rows.
* the top row has the 2 arrows and the month and year display.
* the second row has all the day headings, i.e. S, M, T, W, R, F, S
* and the rest of the rows will have the dates.
how do i come up with a nice clean formula to calculate the positions so all these elements align?

Flash6 To Flash8 - Frozen Animation
Oct 23, 2009I have an animation script for particles that was created in Flash 6. I'm trying to recreate it in my flash document that is setup as Flash 8. I couldn't get the animation to play and then I figured out that if I go back to this original Flash 6 document and change it to Flash 8, it won't play in that document either. I'm really new to Flash and scripting in general. Is there a solution that preferably involves changing the Flash 6 particles effect document so that I can recreate it in my Flash 8 document and have it animate?

Feb 11, 2010I started out with Swish, then I moved on to Flash8. I have quickly realized that it's a lot more difficult to achieve animation. Probably due to my lack of education with actionscript 2.0 and Flash8. Are there simple shortcuts to being able to do something as simple as making a photo spin around and explode? I haven't explored Flash8 much, but it doesn't seem as easy as Swish was. Of course, Swish seems obsolete compared to more advanced flash programs.

Mar 28, 2010I've got a flash animation attached which I added a layer to and follow the post at [URL] to try and make it go to a url when the layer is clicked.
You can see the animation at [URL] but when it is clicked on, instead of going to the site I specify [URL] it goes to [URL]

Feb 19, 2008Basically I want to have something pop-up, and stay up on when the mouse moves to a side of the swf, but it re-animates the pop-up motion when the mouse is moved even after it is on one side. Here is the script I wrote for it: (left_motion is the mc that has the animation.)

Jun 5, 2009I have 4 Mc's on the stage, and they have instance names 'mc1' - 'mc2' etc.The MC's have links in them (they are kind'a navigation items) and i need to change the functions of the 'rollOver, and mouseDown events', but keep the MC's the same.The MC's are referenced by instance name and given functions in the first few frames of he movie. for example

Now, what i want achieve is to change the instance names of the MC's (mc_1_0 for example) so that when the user interacts with this MC on the stage, they are taken to locations of my choice (and the actions of another MC), by switching the instance names. IE, i want to change the instance name of 'mc_1_0' to 'mc_2_0' at runtime, BUT i want to do it with a variable from a .txt file.i would need to start with a script that looks for the MC with a certain instance name
-- look for instance mc_1_0, and then change the instance name to 'mc_2_0'
The effect would be that the user would instigate the same actions, regardless of which of the two MC's they rolled over.Maybe i could call the instances initially 'MC_1_Temp' and 'MC_2_Temp' etc: and then i would need a script to change them to 'mc_1_0' and 'mc_2_0' at runtime.SO in the text file i would need something like this

Flash8 :: Dynamic Hotspots For Photos Gallery?
Jun 14, 2009I'm trying to create a simple photos gallery.I load a new picture into the scene using loadMovie function. X and Y coordinates are custom for each photo so it would be centered nicely. The size of the picture is different too. It means, we have 4 variable distances here (question marks in the graph).Now the hard part.I want to divide a loaded picture into two sides and convert them into two different hotspots. I'll be using these hotspots for prev/next buttons.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash8 If Staement - Displaying The Value In As Dynamic Text?
Jan 5, 2012I have searched and tried different things for hours now.It has been a while since I have used Flash and I can't seem to remember.I have a movie embedded and I am passing a variable to the root movie for it to play when the embedded movie is complete. I know the variable is getting passed because I am displaying the value in as dynamic text but the parent movie will not play. This is what I have:

I know there is a way to tell the parent movie to play from the embedded movie by using TellTarget but I would like to find out why this doesn't work.
