Flex :: Animating Sequence Of Images In Background

Nov 21, 2010

I would like to animate a sequence of background images within a uicomponent but also dynamically add and remove components to this component. My first question would be:
1.) What's the best way to animate a sequence of images using Flex 3?
2.) What's the best way to handle adding and removing components on top of the background dynamically?

Actionscript 3 :: Method Of Animating A Jpg Background That Dynamically Changes With Buttons

Feb 29, 2012

OK here what I'm envisioning and keep in mind ive only just started playing with flash so I really am a total novice at this point: I want to have two buttons which load different jpegs which are pretty large (about 5000 width x 600 height) to animate as the page background. so in my BG layer for the main timeline i added a container movie clip (5000x600 also) and in the container movie clip's timeline i have it classic tweening across the stage back and forth. then on the main timeline i have my two buttons which are supposed to load the backgrounds. the thing that seems to be messing it all up is the fact that i call "stop();" in my action script to stop on my 3rd frame of the main timeline after the preloader etc. in my testing i added yet another movie clip that animates and it keeps animating when i cal stop(); but the background image is not animating any more.

IDE :: PSD Sequence From AE To Flash With Transparent Background - Total Fail?

Jun 14, 2009

I've done a complex animation in After Effects and want this to be part of a Flash movie, running on timeline as a sequence.I rendered this as a PSD sequence (RGB+alpha) with hoping, this has transparent background in Flash.But Flash seems not understanding about alpha layers and displays black background instead of no-background. I also rendered this as PNG sequence but failed again the images opened in wrong size and were really huge, so Flash Player wouldn't play it smoothly.Then I saved just a frame as Photoshop Layers which after importing to Flash has transparency in it. Sure, doing it frame-by-frame is a time consuming process and feels stupid way to do.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Animating Multiple Dynamic Images?

Oct 9, 2009

I currently have a working gallery I made with simple next/prev buttons, that calls external images dynamically from a folder. The images are in an array (obviously). I would LOVE to be able to tween the incoming image from the right, and the outgoing image out to the left, which I know how to do just fine (with either built in tween class or tweenmax)..... but not when the images are loaded dynamically. I've searched and searched and have only come across a mention of having two loaders, or possibly a loader for each image? or possibly using the custom BulkLoader class from google.code.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Animating Four DIVs - Each Containing Multiple Images

Nov 20, 2009

I'm trying to animate the 4 Divs (Discovery, Activities, Beaches, Color Me Martinique) at the top of this page, each Div containing 4 pictures. [URL]. I'm currently trying jQuery but I don't know how to make it work for the 4 Divs (each Div containing 4 pictures). I'm still working at it. But, I was told using jQuery to animate the 4 Divs would start to eat into the browser performance.

So I'm thinking doing it in AS3.
Would that be a better choice?
Would that eat into the browser performance?
What are the downsides using AS3 to animate the 4 Divs, each Div containing 4 pictures.

Swf From After Effects Sequence Of Images

Dec 15, 2009

I have a peice of video that I exported as a swf from after effects. Now that i've imoprted it into flash it's broken down into a squence of images. The problem is I need to move the video (Pics) but obviuosly I can only move 1 image at a time and that's a real pain as there is nearly 80 of them. I really need a way of moving all of them at the same time. Highlighting all the frames and moving them doesn't work.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Loading Sequence Of Images One After Other

Jul 23, 2010

I've got a sequence of 200 images, which are named image_1, image_2 - image_200. All in the same folder. I need to load one, then the next etc, without any human intervention (the reason is below). The following code works locally but when I upload it, it only loads the last image (image 200). I can see why - as the "for loop" is going "full speed", whilst the loading is not being allowed to complete. I need to say "only upload the next image when the current one has finished loading".

My ActionScript Code:
this.createEmptyMovieClip("holder",1);
holder._x = 20;
holder._y = 50;
//timeline.onEnterFrame = LoadMovie;
function GetFileName(name) {
[Code] .....

My reason for this is I'd like to load them sequentially so that once one has finished loaded, load the next (the idea is to build the cache whilst the viewer reads an introduction - the trouble was the image was too large, so I've broken it into 200 tiles).

IDE :: Import Multiple Images And Have Them Appear In Sequence In A Single Layer?

Feb 1, 2010

I'd like to import dozens of images and have them in sequence in a single layer. I did this once before, I made a .swf out of a video game cutscene and I recall importing the images to the stage then I asked somewhere else how to make them appear in the layers field. Then I did something that put each image in its own layer and I had to manually move them and make them appear in sequence.

So if anybody knows how to import and put in a single layer in sequence or simply import each image into its own layer

ActionScript 3.0 :: Converting Sequence Of Small Images To MovieClip

Aug 24, 2010

I am using Flash Professional CS5 and a sequence of small images that I want to convert to a MovieClip to use in actionscript 3. I have a blank actionscript 3 file. I go to Insert -> New Symbol, name it 'blue', set it as a Movieclip and tick 'Export For Actionscript'. Then I press OK. I get the message about creating a new class and click OK. Obviously this creates 'blue' in my library. I then go to File -> Import -> Import To Stage and select my first image of four, 'blue1.png'. It asks if I want to import the sequence of images. I have blue1.png, blue2.png, blue3.png, blu4.png, so I click Yes and the images appear on the timeline, stage and my library. Can I now use the class 'blue' in my main actionscript file? Currently, in my main actionscript file, called BubbleVillage, I have some very simple code:

Code:
package {
import flash.display.*;
public class BubbleVillage extends MovieClip {
public function BubbleVillage() {
private var firstblue:blue;
firstblue = new blue();
addchild(firstblue);
}}}
When I save and test the movie, I get a blank screen.

Flex :: Animating A Transformation Based On Transform Matrix?

Oct 18, 2010

I can set the new transform matrix for this UI component to be the above calculated matrix, and the results are accurate; but I need to animate the transition. I can't use the Scale/Move effects alone because they aren't as powerful when it comes to calculating the necessary transformation as the matrices are.So how can I animate the transition of an object given a source and a target transform matrix?Figured it outUsing a tweener and its onUpdate event to reassign the matrix with each intermediate value:
