I'm having some issues aligning the header text of a datagrid. I'm using an embed font for the header text, and when applying the css, the header text behaves as if I'd set the text vertical align to top. I'm trying to vertically center the text, but haven't found a way to make it work.

In the Spark DataGrid the default row height is about 22 px. I would like to set the default row height to 18 pixels and I can do this easily enough with the rowHeight property but what happens is when the rowHeight is set to anything less than 22 px the bottom area of the text in each row is cut off. It seems that the default grid itemrenderer or grid label has a min height set to it. Since I have multiple columns and want to have shorter rows but not have the bottom of the text cut off in each row how would I do this?

I have a DataGrid component that I would like to update every 5 seconds. As rows are being added to this DataGrid I noticed that every update causes it to reset the scroll bar position to the top. How can I manage to keep the scroll bar at its previous position?
View 4 RepliesI have two datagrids 1. OPTION GRID and 2. ELECTION GRID. I have used VBox container as itemRenderer in ELECTION GRID which consists of TextInput in Description Column. The following is the sample SWF.
Whenever the checkbox is selected in the OPTION GRID i have to add a corresponding text input with description value in the 2nd grid (ELECTION GRID) for all the rows. Suppose if two checkboxes are selected, i have to add two textinput in the 2nd grid and so on... This is working fine. But whenever if i edit the textinput and scrolled up or down, the value gets collapsed between the rows or get vanished. I suspect that the itemRenderers will be re-used for the other rows while scrolling. How to retain the edited value in textinput ?

I would like to make the height of my DataGrid rows a bit larger than the default. The problem is that the text is vertically align to the top of the row. I would like to vertically align it to the middle of the row.

However, when I do this it acts funnny, brings in some default datagrid information and then gives me an error when I try to set the dataprovider:"multiple initializers for property dataprovider. View 1 RepliesI can successfully add a validator on an item in my datagrid, by passing in the particular element in the dataProvider to the validator, but I can't get the red border to show up around the cell if the validation fails. I have stepped through the validator, and confirmed that it is passing back a failure, but I can't figure out why the red error border doesn't show up. I have a feeling its because I am passing the item in my dataProvider as the validator source, rather than the 'cell' item, but I can't find a way to access the cell.

But there is a strange requirement that some columns should not be draged to the left of some other column. eg, assume the columns are: name, price , start date, end date, The end date should not be dragged and placed before the start date. i.e. The user can have start date, price , name , end date. name, start date, price , end date. But at no point can end date appear before start date. Is there a way to do this flex? Is there a way to know where the user is trying to drop the column and show error message ?

Getting error while run the checkBox item renderer in advanced datagrid with out data.

1. I have a datagrid (which I am generating dynamically)
2. If I select a row and edit it (on clicking it opens a pop up and when i save data in that, I just update the data provider of the grid locally).
3. As soon as data provider of datagrid is updated, the datagrid scrolls up in a way so that selected row comes at the top of datagrid.
I have a spark List with an item renderer and a tile layout. If I scroll by clicking with the mouse on the scroll bar and trying to scroll with the mouse wheel after that, there is a problem: The interval of the scrolling is oversized, instead of scrolling one item down (or up) the List scrolls 4 items down (or up).

View 1 RepliesI have a web app built in Flash Builder 4.5. Its dimensions are 1150 x 900. When I try to view it on a smaller monitor or lower resolution, I can only scroll horizontally. I need it to scroll vertically. Is there a setting I am missing or could it be something else. I am not going to post any code at this time because I do not believe it is a syntax issue. View 1 RepliesI am working on a problem since a week soon, but I still couldn't make it work as expected. I have a DataGrid which has HBox with a CheckBox an a Label as itemRenderer (see Code below). When I tap in to the Cell the standard itemEditor pops up and lets you enter the content of the label. Thats the standard behavior. I works fine except for 2 problems:
If I enter to much text, the horizontal srollbar pops up, and the cell is filled with that scrollbar. As you see I tried to set the horizontalScrollPolicy to off, but that doesnt work at all... I tried to do that for all the different elements, but the failure is still existent. When I have filled more than one row, there is an other mistake happening. If I tap on a row, the datagrid selects the one below that row. That's only if one line is already selected. If I tap outside the datagrid and then, tap at any row the itemEditor of the right row will show up... Is there anything now wright in the setup of my set data method?
