Flex :: MVC - How To Manage Notification For Particular Screen

PURE MVC - In my application there are multiple screens which are minimized like in windows desktop. Now each has different instances of mediator which have same notification. So if I do changes in one screen say press some button >> which sends some command >> to proxy >>then proxy sends notifications to mediator. But as multiple screens are active there it is showing changes in all screens as they are notified too by proxies. How to make sure that proxy calls to particular view component (mediator) and not for all live instances of mediators ?

the aim of this script is to make a slide show, loading images form an external file (called: images) they fade in, then fade out, then load the next swf in the Next Level.My Question is that I cannot manage to set different times when the image load to stay in the screen (1, 2, 3 sec (1000, 2000, 3000 miliseconds) and then to fade.They Need to fade in, stay 1,2 or three seconds, and then fade out... but its not working, I used the SetIntervalID but nothing after loading the 1.swf this will call a 2.swf with a different time of the image to remain, lets say 5 sec, and then this swf will call the 3.swf and remain 8 sec??[code]

I have a custom TextInput-based component for date and time with certain restrictions on what's considered "within range". But it's still fine to insert dates that are outside the range. When a user types in a date, on valueCommit, I'd like to be able to display a hovering notification to the user, to inform/warn them that the date is outside the accepted range.
I'm thinking of notifications ala the Validators, but I'd rather not use the Validator mechanism because it's really not validation, just notification. Something like a tooltip, but it will only appear if the user changed the value. Maybe an effect of some sort?

I want to create a notification icon like the the red one in the bottom right-hand corner of Facebook. I tried using a ToolTipManager to create a tooltip but since Tooltips appear in their own layer in Flex and, as far as I am able to figure, cannot be anchored to any part of the page. When the user uses the browser's scrollbar, they move.

I have VBox that contains two Hbox. The first hbox is not included in the layout while second is. After a event occurs, first hbox is visible & included in the layout. But the problem is the second hbox does not move down & first & second are overlapping. I tried using the co ordinates x,y, move it does not work.[code]Why are both of them overlapping & how can i get second box after first one.

I have 2 AIR applications (A and B) that are able to communicate via a LocalConnection object. I've verified that messages are definitely being sent/received appropriately.
I want to be able to have A tell B to come to the front. Both applications are full screen:

stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
I've tried several permutations, but as of yet nothing seems to work.

If I leave both applications in windowed mode (stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.NORMAL), then toggling alwaysInFront actually works. Calling activate() or orderToFront() still do nothing. If I try to toggle alwaysInFront and then set the application to fullscreen, the application ends up fullscreen behind my windowed app. Maybe there is an event I should wait for before setting the app to fullscreen?
I found a thread mentioning that orderToFront() only works relative to windows within the same application, which explains why it doesn't seem to do anything.
Does anyone have any insights into pulling this off? Maybe there is a way for me to embed B into application A so they are actually the same application? I am not sure how to do this with an AIR application as simply as just loading the SWF due to requiring external resources.

Due to screen density of iPhone, image assets are developed larger. So, when specifying the icons and images to Flex components takes this form.

Making an Flex App. Just wondering if anyone has created something that fits automatically to the users' screen size and how I go about doing this? One of the principle things is that I need an background image, which is obviously going to have to scale / resize to match the users screen.

I'm building a video player using Flash CS4 (hereby referred to as "Flash") to create the graphic symbols and compiling and debugging with Flash Builder 4 ("FB4"). Here are the steps I take in my current workflow: --Create the graphic symbols in Flash. I've created a few different symbols for the player, but I'll focus on just the play/pause button ("ppbutton") here. --In the Library panel, I go to the ppbutton symbol's Linkage properties and link to a class named assets.PlayPauseButtonAsset that extends MovieClip. I do not actually have an assets package nor do I have a class file for PlayPauseButtonAsset as Flash will create them for me when I publish.
--In Flash's Publish settings, I set the project to export a SWC that will be used in FB4, called VideoPlayerAssets.swc. --After the SWC is created, I create my FB4 project called "VideoPlayer" and add the SWC to my path. FB4 creates the class VideoPlayer in the default package automatically. --In VideoPlayer.as, I import assets.*, which imports all of the symbol classes I created in Flash and are available via VideoPlayerAssets.swc. I can now instantiate the ppbutton and add to the stage, like this:

When I play a video in Flash, fist, it starts buffering and then, when the buffer is full, it plays. While the buffer is filling, the associated Video object automatically displays the fist video frame.Is there a way to receive a notification when this frame is available ? Because I want to hide the video component until there is an image to be displayed.Currently I handle the buffer full NetStreamEvent, so it displays when it starts playing. But now I need a larger buffer (10s), so waiting 10s to display something to the user is not good.

Basically what I am trying to do is show a medical cartoon, that at various times, the user can click on a button to say "I want to read more about this point later". This will allow them to continue watching the cartoon, and at the end be taken to an HTML page that shows them the list of points they selected for further research. It's like creating a shopping list for further reading.

I want to create an AIR application in which i need to show the notification that when AIR application is minimize then at some interval of time message shows from the system tray similar like giving information. I have visited this LINK, its a nice component but tutorial is not that much good as component. I need to create a component like that or source is available from this site so modification in this component will also be acceptable. I'm building a class that displays a standard notification on the stage, let's call it NoticeHandler. Any class can send a string to this class throughstage.dispatchEvent.ErrorHandler listens for this event on the stage, and displays the notification box.This works fine, but now I've got a class that isn't present on the stage.How can I dispatch an event from this class to NoticeHandler? I'm running FMS 4.0.2. I have a server side script that will record a stream that is playing on a remote server. This script was running fine on FCS 1.5. When running on FMS 4.0.2 the stream starts recording fine, but after a few minutes it stops on its own with no event notifications on the stream. No NetConnection or NetStream events are registered. I thought it might have been been an issue staying connected to the remote server.
But then I wrote something to publish a stream directly to this server, and have a simple server side script record the stream on the same server, but the same thing happens - it stops after a few minutes with no notifications. Again the code works fine in older versions of FMS/FCS. This has obviously proven problematic that I cannot record a stream longer than a few minutes. The problem occurs both on streams published via the Flash Player (Sorenson Spark) and the FMLE (H.264).

Using the ArcGIS Server Flex API, is there a way to convert mouse coordinates on the screen or the a map control to spatial coordinates in the map? It seems like there's functionality to convert map points to screen points, but a function for converting in the other direction seems weirdly absent.

When I compile output says 1120: Access of undefined property cmd_button
folder structure
FlashTesting -->engine--->code
All I want to access cmd_button to add EventListener which is in code folder. Seems can't access fla components.
