I got a problem and i don't know how to fix. i published my flash movie as a html and for some reason the bottom is cut off and the default browser scroller is not there? my flash file is 800x900 px
I'm pretty new at Flash and I have been trying to solve this for the last coupleof days to no success. When I publish to html in flash my movie gets cut at the bottom which it really can't. Is there anyway to resolve this? the code is the following:
I've never been asked to do a flash header with a colored banner before, and so now as I do one I find that there's this annoying line at the bottom of the object.
I have a Flex application, I want to scroll the page to bottom when a button is pressed.Scroll bars is added by browser, they do not belong to flex app or component.I can do this by javascript but is there a way to do this with action script?
I'm working on a simple chat application in Flash / AS3. There's a Chat input box, a Send button, and a TextField where the contents of the chat input box appear after the message has been sent.By default, when you add text to a TextField, the text appears at the top, and works it's way down to the bottom. I would like to do (something close to) the opposite: Have new messages appear at the bottom of the TextField, and old messages move up to the top as new messages are added.
I have an .swf navigation carousel that is 650 pixels high, the bottom 200 pixels being reserved for the reflection of the carousel. The reflection is very subtle and is not considered important information, so we would like to remove vertical scrollbars when the window is high enough to fit the topmost 450 pixels, but not the reflection.
I tried to accomplish this by setting a margin-bottom: -200px to the flash <object> but this only made the container's height shrink 200 pixels, causing the background pattern to cut before the bottom of the page.the Flash itself is still taking up 650 pixels.
Is there some "proper" fix to this, other than hiding/showing the scrollbars actively using javascript?
I made a post under actionscript 2.0, but I wasn't sure if it belonged there. So here goes.I made a text box and added a mask to it, it is really long so I made it scrollable. For some reason it keeps cutting off the bottom of the text, meaning it won't scroll all the way down, it truncates it. The text is dynamic and the fonts are embedded, heck I even tried breaking the fonts apart.
I got it from a code that make ball falling from top to bottom and i analysis that is this code that make it work. I wanted to change the code to make float from bottom to top.
I want to accomplish the same thing with code that Flash's Align - Align Bottom Edge button does within the IDE. I have a series of move clips of different heights which are all added to the stage dynamically via XML. When they are all added, I want to then align them - does flash provide a method for doing this with code? Or is the only way to do it to detect their heights and adjust them by the height difference?
I want stick my flash file to the left-bottom corners of browser window. I used below html code for this purpose but when I change the size of my browser flash file goes down.[code]
I'm trying to shape tween a movie clip of a rocket blasting off. I want it to "squash" before liftoff, and then "stretch" as it lifts off. When I tween this on the timeline with the transform tool, I can "squash" the rocket, and the base of the rocket stays on the "ground". This is what I want. However, for reasons I won't go into, I need to do this in AS3, as opposed to on the timeline. When I use a "height" tween, though, the movieclip height changes, but it shrinks/stretches at the bottom (locked at the top). Is it possible to do what I want with the tween class? Do I need to use something besides "height"?
I'm made an Item class which extends the Sprite class, the Item class basically has a few checkmarks & labels at the moment.
Then what I try to do is run through a for loop of items and create Item classes that I want to place one after each other on the y-axis, so I'm reading the Item.height property to find the y of the next Item in the list.
The problem is for some reason there is always an extra 75 pixels added to the Sprite height at the bottom, no matter how many checkmarks and labels are in each Item class ( varying the height of the Item class ).
Any idea why this is being added and how it can be removed?I'm having trouble figuring this out, I tried dynamicly calculating and setting the Item.height property but when I do that the Sprite is simply cropped.
I have a Spark List (spark.components.List) backed by an ArrayCollection for its dataProvider. The List has a vertical scrollbar when there's too many rows to display. What I want is when a new row is added to the List for it to scroll to the bottom to show that new row.
I've tried calling List's ensureIndexIsVisible from a listener on the ArrayCollection. This doesn't work because the List hasn't yet fully rendered the new row. It will either scroll to the second from the last row, or throw the exception:
I have a MC in an AS3 animation and I want to increase its height from bottom to top which would mean that the registration point should be bottom of the MC and center of width (horizontal center).
This is definitely a huge BUG in flash player 9.Here is some info if someone had run into similar problem? If I try to align flash to: StageAlign.BOTTOMorStageAlign.BOTTOM_RIGHTr StageAlign.BOTTOM _LEFT and then if I try to resize my flash using externalinterface which will call outside JS that resize div around it, you`ll get flicker effect on your flash. However, if I align Flash to: StageAlign.TOPorStageAlign.TOP_RIGHTorStageAlign.TOP_LEFTand then use external script for resize, everything works fine.
I'm trying to create a website that is basically a flash toolbar that directs the user to different HTML pages at the bottom, much like this website here.

Do I build the bar in Flash and then the HTML portion in dreamweaver or do I build it all in Flash? Would an iFrame work for this sort of website?
With the Flash Player that comes with CS3 and on my PC XP Pro laptop.I want the player controls to appear at the _bottom_ of the video not on top of the video and not under (behind) the video.
- my video is 640 x 480 - so I modified the "properties" tab at the bottom of the screen to 640x480... (it was 550x400) - but that just makes everything larger when I click File > Publish - and then look at the video in Internet Explorer... the Player Controls are still _On Top_ of the video.
I guess I need to learn how to
- Make the stage bigger - Position the Player controls below the actual video
I'm prettynew to flash and I have been trying to solve this for a couple days now and unfortunatelly I haven't been able to come up with the solution. When I publish from flash CS4 my swf gets cut on the bottom making very difficult to use the site.the full code is the following:
This has lost me already about 30 minutes of my work time. The panel decided to make itself extra tall, so I can't see the bottom of the panel. I see no way to vertically resize the panel. The only way that I think you can do that is to click and drag the bottom of the panel. The bottom of the panel is below the bottom of the screen even though I've dragged the panel up as high as it can go. How do I resize it?
I have text that wraps around an image on a page and I want the text to fade in from top to bottom. I would have just made a gradient in Photoshop and then tweened it over the text. But the text wraps around an image and the gradient would cover the image.
I am working on a FLASH website that loads 3 flash movies (header, content and menu). The menu movie is displayed at the bottom. I am looking for a way to display the menu always at the bottom of the browser window (the visible bottom). This way, if the screen resolution of the user is too small, the user won't have to scroll to see the menu. I know it can be done. On this page, you can see that the copyright character is always displayed the bottom right of the browser window.[URL]
ive been trying to add a bar thats going from the bottom of the screen (0,550) to the top of the screen (0,-25), now from some reason each time i restore its place to 550 it is speeding up.
i'm looking at the site [URL] and notice that when you click the links, when the content box resizes, its height only expands from the bottom and isnt equally distributed. Is there a special way to do this? Or do you think they just have a movie clip on the bottom that expands both way and is just covered by another of the same color so it appears as if only the bottom is expanding?
