how to change the default main swf file when you package an AIR application? I've used obfuscation manually on a swf and I would like that to be the main swf for AIR.
I can include the modifided swf into AIR but cannot set it to the default swf. Should I just make the default swf as a swfloader class? and just include the modifided inside?
Is there a way to change the background color of the layers the Flash timeline itself? I'm using XP, and there is not enough difference in the color of a selected layer and one with extended keyframes that is not selected. At school I use a Mac and there is definitely a blue vs. a gray. On my computer, they are two very close shades of gray.

I'm very confused about the new Flex 4 architecture...
I know you can change Flash builders default "Main source folder" by right clicking on the project properties and going to the "Flex Build Path" ...but how do you change that by default for all new projects? I prefer the folder name "src_flex" rather than "src" when I create my projects.You can do this for PHP in "PHP>>New Project Layout" preferences but I don't see anything similar for Flash Builder or know if there's a (hidden) file I could edit to do this.

Mac OSX 10.4.11 - CS4. I have a supplied video.flv that I have in Flash with a skin control and exported as video.swf and inserted into a GoLive site, all is well apart from the excessive sound. The volume controller is defaulted to max and I would like to reduce the default volume by about 50%. Is this possible to do in Flash before exporting the video.swf.

For some reason, when I go to save a .as file that i've created in flash it choose some deeply buried folder from a project I haven't worked on in ages. I have no idea how it got set up to do that, but if possible I would love to have it default to the last location I saved a file.
I'm using an open-source Flash mp3 player. In comes in two swf versions. One plays a list of songs and displays the album cover(s). The other version just plays one song. The problem is that the single-song version loads some default text that I want to change (I was able to do this in the other version via the external playlist file). I'm a Flash newbie, and when I open the fla file the player's author provides, I can't find where this default text is located. (The playlist version works fine; its default text relates to what the user will get when they click on the file titles.)

View 1 RepliesI have added this code to a button in my flash file. When the viewer presses the button a external .swf file will load. The problem is how do I specify where it loads. For example, when the viewer hits the button the external swf file default loads at 0,0. If I want it to load somewhere else on the page is there a way to make it load at a certain specified location? Here is the code I am using on the button.

Now this works fine and the swf file is loaded correctly but it is always at the top left corner. How can I go about loading it in a specific place on the flash file? Is there a way to create a holder that would make it load in that certain area?

I've managed to open a given exe file from the fscommand folder, but cant get the above examples to work - i think the problem is, that i cant send parameters to the exe file.
In as3, how do you change the cursor to the systems default busy/wait cursor (e.g. the spinning wheel on a mac)?

UPD: I succeed with downloading (into File.documentsDirectory). I can't force iPad to open downloaded files.
UPD2: I tried to use both openWithDefaultApp and NavigateToUrl.
Is there a work around to the getURL Firefox issue? I am having trouble getting Firefox to open my file from my exe when FF is set to my default browser. If FF is already open, the getURL functions fine. If FF is closed, I have to click on my button twice in order to open the file (ie, click once opens a blank window, click again and the file opens) I have FF 2.0.0.1, Flash MX 2004 Prof. I have tried setting an interval to have the getURL fire again but I can't seem to get it to work.
