How do I link from my dynamic txt box (html) to an external movieclip (popup). The only thing I found was a

I bought a third-party image gallery xml driven where images activate html links. I need the image, when pressed, to import an external swf in the same movieclip where the gallery is and not external html links.

I have a problem: I'm trying to have a dynamic text box (htmlText) with a number of links (all dynamically generated themselves) within. I need some way that the html link can detect the user mousing over/off of it and fire off a function (to bring up a tooltip elsewhere on the interface, specifically). Is this at all possible in ActionScript 1.0?

Is there a cross-browser solution available to give a flash banner an html link, without putting it into the flash itself? (i.e. the Flash has no clickable button in it). I tried giving the surrounding anchor tag a high z-index, but that did not work. I'm using the standard google swfobject to include the flash banner, but am not stuck on using that.

I have a main fla, which has some buttons on the stage. When you click on a button an external swf loads(using loadMovie method) inside container_mc which is an empty movieclip.
On that specific external swf, I have created an empty movieclip called content_mc which also loads external swfs.
Is it possible to call the content_mc from the main fla? For example when clicking a button of the main fla, how can I point to content_mc which is part of the external swf?

Here is the situation: I have an XML document which I rip through using a for Loop, and I place the data into an array. From there I tell the data where to go. I have an attribute in my XML called 'link' which contains a URL, now I want to spit that out into a separate textbox and have it also link to the given URL. I have the URL stored in the array just fine, and I can even spit the URL into the textfield, my only question is how to make it link instead of just being normal text?
I hope I explained this well, but the basic gist of it is I have everything working except for adding the hyperlink.

I have a scenario that I get an string with html data, this is not just html data it's an email (outlook) saved as an html file and dropped in the string.Now this string needs to be formatted to an html document and should be a clickable link in a datagrid. So when I click on the link, the HTML document should pop-up and should gave me a nice HTML page that is readable for the normal users. I am trying to use a dynamic text box with HTML tags (<b><i><u>). I've tried loads of methods without success:
1. 3 dynamic textboxes placed on the stage with each font variant (bold,italic,regular), with embedding enabled for each. Then the main dynamic textbox with embedding turned off.
2. 3 font symbols with linkage enabled in the library. Then the main dynamic textbox with embedding turned off.
The font is not a system font btw. I have tried point 1 with Verdana and it worked. So is it an issue with a non system font with HTMl tags?
I think this is almost impossible, or at least very difficult. The thing is: I wanted to make a guestbook on my site (inside flash) but my server doesn't allow me to use php. So the only other way (I think) is to use a remote script-host. So that's what I did, I found one on scripthost.com. It's a very simple one,it just changes a html-file everytime a new entry is entered. What I want to do now is to extract all the things that are in the html-file and put them in textboxes. Is this possible? I searched a little bit and I found that I could use the server side include tags to read a html-file to another html-file (inside a div) and then use javascript to read the div and send it to a textbox in flash.

Some say use external text files, some put the content text in the actionsript, but my text box still does not style or display the content. to a tutorial (text, not video) that works and is not overly complex?

I am trying to load an external swf from a dynamic scrolling textbox?I manage to only to get it to work by loading it as an .html page, but I want it to load in the main page. I tried _parent, _self, and _top I see no difference in using any of them. All of them are making the swf load into a blank html page.
I am using the render as html option. Any ideas on how to make a pop-up window from a dynamic scrolling textbox?
