I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".
View 4 RepliesI'm trying to load an iframe into a div via ajax. The iframe serves Flash content.
There are four divs (above each other) with the same Flash-through-iframe implementation, and I show and hide these divs to correspond with the user's navigation. This works well, except in Safari. I triple-checked my JavaScript that toggles the divs (using display: none and display: show), but it doesn't work in Safari.
anyone know how do i add a iframe inside the flash? the html is

I have a html/flex app loaded in an iframe, and wmode is set to 'opaque'. I have 'mousemove' listener attached to the document of flex app and document of the parent. Once I mousedown in the flex part of iframe and move my mouse around, i can see the logs from the iframe. However, when I move the mouse around in the parent, i dont see logs from the parent. But, if I mousedown on the html part of the iframe, i can see logs from both iframe and parent. Same sort of bug is reported in Firefox 4/5, which breaks html part of it. Visit [URL]
View 1 RepliesI have a few Flash objects in my html page, and all these Flash objects respond to mouseOver and mouseOut.
On mouseOver, the Flash objects will play a movieclip in place. On MouseEvent.CLICK, I would like the Flash objects to make the html page create a new iFrame with embedded .mov movie file in a lightbox effect.
I can't seem to get it to work. I have tried ExternalInterface.call(), navigatetoURL(), I have tried simulating a click event in javascript. Essentially, I want a mouse-click that is captured in Flash to open a jquery/javascript-lightbox in an iframe.
Im doing a site where the menu is in flash, and the rest of the site is in HTML.
I was wondering if it's possible to target an Iframe with Actionscript or flash?
Basically, I have a DIV, which I've set to z-index: 100. I have an iframe which I set to z-index: 0. My 100 div is ontop of the frame on a normal webpage, but I have to load a flash page in the frame. Unfortunately the flash in the frame shows overtop of my 100 DIV. I can't set the z-index of the flash object because I don't control that webpage!
View 1 RepliesI have a draggable popup window that has a title bar and an iframe in its content area. The iframe has a flash object embedded in it. It works great in all browser except for IE8 (IE7 and IE9 work fine). IE8 has a bad drawing problem when the window is being moved. Here's an example:Open the example in IE8, or if you're using IE9, hit F12 for developer tools, then select Browser Mode: IE8 using IE8 Standards.Drag the window around quickly and you'll see a very bad redraw of the iframe.
View 1 RepliesI am still used to AS2 and this is resulting quite complicated.I am trying to make it so that when the timeline stops, for a website to load within an iframe next to it.I have the .swf on the left and I want to open up content on the right.as an example, I want to open up within the iframe. This is the code I have so far:
stop();
var url:String = "google.com";
var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);

I would like to place a scrollbar in the HTML page that is in the iFrame. I also would like to remove or hide the original scrollbar from the iFrame (without using the scrolling="no" since this stops scrolling all together). Is any of this possible? Am I able to control HTML scroll with a Flash scrollbar? Will I need to use javascript?
I understand my way around both actionscript, html, CSS, and some javascript....if any of this is a possiblitiy could you at least point me in the right direction? Would this be better if I built .PNGs and created Divs to build the scroll bar on the HTML page?
I have the following component in an AIR application from Flex 4:
<mx:HTML id="viewObject"
x="10" y="42" width="634" height="313"
location="http;//localhost:8080/mypage.php" />
Now I want to run a javascript when the page loads but the javascript isn't inside the target page. I want to run the following javascript:
javascript:alert('Hello world.');
I tried approaching it by setting the location property again to the javascript after the page has loaded like below.
<s:Button x="10" y="10" label="Button">
<s:click>

Unfortunately for me, that doesn't seem to work.
On my HTML page, I have
with an , which references another page, that contains a Flash SWF object. If I set any of these:
display:none;
visibility:hidden;
opacity:0;
filter:alpha(opacity=0);
on the
that wraps the , the SWF object sometimes remains in plain sight, while the
and go out of view as expected.

This should work in the latest versions of Safari, Chrome and Firefox on a Mac and in the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer on a Windows 7 machine, and it should fail (no errors but the hiding behavior doesn't occur) in Safari on a Windows 7 machine.
It might be pertinent to note that one thing I've noticed about the SWF objects that have passed and failed are that the ones that have failed all revolve around video content whereas the ones that have passed don't. Granted I haven't tested more than a half-dozen objects, but that's quite a coincidence. :)
want to load a html page in a iframe when i click a flash button.
My code for the iframe:
[Code]....
Shouldn't that be alright? I've tried with _IFRAME too, but didn't work out. Instead of opening in the iframe, it opens in a new window. My flash button is on the main page, not in a iframe and the iframe is on the mainpage too.
I have searched the forums and know that you can use
[AS]
on(release){
getURL("somefile.htm", "someframe");
}
[/AS]
But I have and iframe and I want to load a new .htm file into it my HTML is here
{iframe src="main.htm" height="87%" width="900" align="middle" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" name="mainFrame"} {/iframe}
I used {} 'cos I dont know if the froum uses HTML any way I tried to do

I've made a site where an iframe calls to a top navigation element, with a javascript drop down menu. I have it working where the menu drops over a center flash element, but even when the menu is not "dropped" - any element in that area on the flash does not respond to clicks.
I've changed z indexes, and now i cant seem to get the flash file to even be ontop of the iframe -
heres a link

How can I modify the URL of an iframe, if it contains the [URL] text?
I want to append:
&wmode=Opaque
to it, but only if this argument doesn't already exist;
Tried:
$('iframe[src*=youtube.com]').attr('src',
$(this).attr('src') + '&wmode=Opaque');`

I need to execute some javascript string code from flash swf file using actionscript 3.
I read that it could be done by passing the javascript code to the parent html document , using externalinterface.call function. Then I assume it will be faster if I can declare functions in the javascript code in the HTML document in the first use of externalinterface.call funtion ; if flash code calls the javascript code repeatedly. So let me ask you how to do that. For details , any javascript to be loaded is unknown in design time and I can not prepare a javascript file to be loaded.
On a page I have a an iFrame and a swf, I've been trying to use ExternalInterface to pass values from the swf to the iFrame, anyone ever tried this and had any luck? I won't be able to post any code until tomorrow, will update then if needed.Here is a visualization of what I need to accomplish, perhaps if it can't be done the way I said someone will have a suggestion of another way to accomplish this.
View 2 RepliesIs it possible to make desktop Air application by using HTML/JavaScript and Flash?Actually I want to make an Air app (which is for desktop) by using flash and want to use HTML , javascript and CSS as well.Is it possible ?
View 1 RepliesI have a .swf that has to load in a iFrame and needs to call a browser cookie javascript function that lives on the parent page that loads the iFrame.I'm using this:
xternalInterface.call("javascriptFunction");
I have a Flash movie that is loaded inside an iframe. In this Flash movie I have a link to a Word document. When using IE the link does not work. This only happens when using a Word doc, inside the iframe with IE. Please see [URL] Click on the first link using IE, you will see a window popping out and then disappearing instantly.
View 7 RepliesI have a flash navigation on an HTML site. When I click on a button in flash I want it to bring up a new page inside an Iframe. Is there anyway where I can get the on release command to send a variable to the browser to bring up that page in that frame?
View 5 RepliesI know this question was asked before, but none of the solutions work properly. How do I render a basic html in flex 4 without an iframe? I saw textarea renders some weird format that would suffice if it would work. For example I wan't to add an image like this
[Code]...
then 1. I press enter 2. I add the image again like above, I get the img tag inserted 10 times or so; which is weird (but not funny at all). All things being equal, html is a much normal approach, is there a basic renderer for flex 4 that works ok?

Is it possible at all yet to have an iframe inside your SWF file that loads a website with no external code..?or what about a html parser like this: as3htmlparser.sourceforge.net .can this parser do something like im asking..? or are cross site xml policies needed for such operations..?
im trying to find a way to check an external URL for specific data, but am finding it virtually impossible because of needed cross site domain policy's..im trying to accomplish this with only internal AS3 code and no server side code..
what i am trying to do is open a new page, but at the same time open a another new page inside the 2nd pages iframe. look at code and i think you will understand better.
ew.onRelease=function(){
getURL("misc.htm");
getURL("misc/employeewellness.htm", "txt");
}
[Code]...
so as you can see i want to open one page and then inside that page have another page open.
The structure of my site is as follows:
mainPage.html contains - menu.swf & iframe1
iframe1 contains - subpage.html
subpage.html contains - subMenu.swf & contentpage.html
The way it works is that when menu.swf is clicked it changes the .src of iframe1 to load the appropriate subpage.html. Then when you click the subMenu.swf it changes the .src of iframe2 to load the appropriate contentpage.html[URL]..
It all works perfectly in Firefox but in IE the ExternalInterface call from the subMenu never reaches the container page to change the .src of the iframe.It seems as though it's something to do with the .swf being inside the iframe because I am still able to call a javascript function from within the iframe using an html button.
How to display the html page in flexpopup without using iframe ?
