I'm having a problem with embedding games in my website.[url]...
It shows a loading bar whilst the game is loading, but when I embed this same swf url into my website using swfobject (or even with plain old <object> or <embed> tags), the loading bar never shows up, and instead a white box the same size as the flash game is shown, until the game is loaded!
I am loading data from xml file.There is 12 XML nodes (in this case)I don't want to show all xml data in Flash by default.I am attaching one button on the stage for every 5 xml nodes (depends how much data I want to show per one page, let's say 5)So every time user clicks on one of this buttons, the data from startIndex to endIndex of this button is shownFIRST: I have a problem clearing the attached data every time user clicks the buttonSECOND: I have a problem with the last button's endIndex variable. it should be 12 not 15 (in this case)

View 2 RepliesI have made a 1000 x 600 (px) swf movie for a web and I embedded it in HTML. Now the problem is for some screen resolutions above 1024 x 768, the web is aligned to top left. I tried to put it in a div which aligned to center, then scrolling happens.
View 4 Repliesi'm having a problem with embedding a full screen flash gallery. when clicking a thumbnail executes swfobject.embedSWF which creates the flash-object and the gallery is showing up. when closing the flashgallery, i'm removing the whole flash-objects. then when clicking another thumbnail, swfobject.embedSWF for embedding the object simply doesn't work anymore
View 1 RepliesI'm trying to embed a .swf into a wordpress page. This sounds simple, but it isn't working and I cannot fathom out why. I've uploaded all the relevant files onto the server, and I'm fairly sure all the filepaths are correct. The folder containing the .fla and .swf files also contained an index.html file, which I have put into a template. I've tried putting the supplied code into the HTML on the page, I've tried simply using said template, and the best I'm getting is a blank area which doesn't load the flash content.

I have been following lee's tutorial on the XML driven mp3 player for a site. However, I have now gone to embed the finished file on an html page, all files for the player work individually, so if I run the SWF by itself it works fine! However, when previewing on the html page the music doesn't play and the titles don't appear. The files are all stored in a 'player' folder in the root folder, however the SWF is stored there too, so I cant imagine that's the problem, I have even tried moving all the files from the player folder directly into the root folder where the index html file is and it still doesn't work.
View 4 RepliesI am trying to insert a video into an online article using either object or embed code. When I open the html file created by Flash there are scripts included in the document along with the object code. I have loaded the .swf & .fla files onto a server.
I am trying to use just the object code with the full path to the .swf file on the server and then want to insert this code into an article so that the video will display. This is not working. It seems the absense of all the scripts is preventing it from working.Is there an easy way to insert a small piece of code that will allow the video to display?
I designed a website for a company recently, and had a preloader screen for it.Now that its uploaded,when I visit the website, the browser downloads all the data first before displaying it, alright.But the preloader screen doesnt appear. When I simulate download in the swf, it shows the preloader screen properly.The AS on the 1st frame is something like this:

I'm using Flash CS5. I have created an Input Text box, but for some reason, the only numerals that apear on the screen when typed are 0, 1, and 2. If one types 3, etc., they just don't appear.
Also, I have a dynamic text box for which when I do the following, it only shows "lease type a number from 1 to 12." with no "P".
txt_incorrect_number.text = "Please type a number from 1 to 12."
I have a SWF which I had originally published to Flash Player 7. I added some code which requires me to publish to a min of Player 8. When I test the SWF published to Player 8 it works fine. I can even view the SWF directly in a browser and it works fine. My issue arises when I embed the SWF into an HTML page. When embeded into an HTML page the main functionality of the SWF breaks as well as dynamic text no longer displays. Anyone run into similar problems or issues? I've tried using the simplest of Embeds i could find and it sill breaks it.

I have a finished Flash site that my client is requesting I embed a HTML page in it. The HTML page is run by another vendor so I can't just recreate it in Flash and my client wants it to like the HTML page is part of the Flash interface when it launches.
Can Flash do this... call a HTML page and embed it into its interface?

The <embed> code for that SWF has the "allowScriptAccess" parameter set to "sameDomain". Currently, I cannot put links in "flash.swf" that change the location of the embedding page, because they are on different domains, and making a getURL() or ExternalInterface call won't be permissible.
Changing "allowScriptAccess" to "always" is not an option. Putting both files on the same domain is also not an option.
Policy files don't seem to be the solution (perhaps I'm coding them wrong?) and changing the "document.domain" of the embedding page doesn't seem to work either.

Page 7 doesn't have a button or any actionscript on it, but the linked hand is showing for the URLs on page 9, and clicking takes you through to the web pages for those ads.

I am having an issue with my project showing up to the left side of the screen when I look at it on the web. how to center the project in the middle of the page. Here is another blunder I am desperate for help with. another project I am working on I screwed up by editing the timeline for EVERYTHING inside the movie clip instead of the timeline. now when I export this to be a mov. file it only plays for like a second. so I fixed that and copy and pasted the timeline from inside the movie to the timeline on my workspace. everything is showing up on the bottom right of the page.

I hope to have some music on my site and have been playing around with various Flash based, XML driven, mp3 players [though I'm a beginner with Flash]. I've got one to look [more or less] as I want it but it doesn't work! It works when previewed within Flash CS4 but not within Dreamweaver. View 9 RepliesI made a very simple video player. It's working very nice in all browsers. The issue is only with IE9. The video is playing only on the first visit of the page. For example you open the page, you watch the video, click the back button and decide to visit the same page ... and the video is not showing at all. If you refresh the page the video appears again. I asked some people to test it and they have the same issue. Is this an IE9 / FP 10.3 bug?[code]
