ActionScript 1/2 :: URL On Second Swf Page Showing Through On First One?

view the magazine at [URL].. Pages 7 and 9 show an example of the issue. These pages are separate swf files, being called by a config.xml file.
Page 7 doesn't have a button or any actionscript on it, but the linked hand is showing for the URLs on page 9, and clicking takes you through to the web pages for those ads.
I've spent hours trying script variations on pages 7 and 9 but with no luck. The front cover of the magazine is page 0. My current Actionscript 2 on page 9 is:

Not sure if I should be posting here or on the Dreamweaver forum [there's a similar post there], but .. I hope to have some music on my site and have been playing around with various Flash based, XML driven, mp3 players [though I'm a beginner with Flash]. I've got one to look [more or less] as I want it but it doesn't work! It works when previewed within Flash CS4 but not within Dreamweaver. I made a very simple video player. It's working very nice in all browsers. The issue is only with IE9. The video is playing only on the first visit of the page. For example you open the page, you watch the video, click the back button and decide to visit the same page ... and the video is not showing at all. If you refresh the page the video appears again. I asked some people to test it and they have the same issue. Is this an IE9 / FP 10.3 bug?[code]

I'm having a problem with embedding games in my website.[url]...
It shows a loading bar whilst the game is loading, but when I embed this same swf url into my website using swfobject (or even with plain old <object> or <embed> tags), the loading bar never shows up, and instead a white box the same size as the flash game is shown, until the game is loaded!

Check out the link below, as you can see my overlay is hidden behind the flash element. However, the blue bar with the 'Continue' button appears above everything. Does anyone know what CSS changes I need to make so the overlay will appear above everything below it? The background loads an iframe.

I can't add wmode="transparent" to the embed tag, since I have no control over the page loaded in the iframe.

I am loading data from xml file.There is 12 XML nodes (in this case)I don't want to show all xml data in Flash by default.I am attaching one button on the stage for every 5 xml nodes (depends how much data I want to show per one page, let's say 5)So every time user clicks on one of this buttons, the data from startIndex to endIndex of this button is shownFIRST: I have a problem clearing the attached data every time user clicks the buttonSECOND: I have a problem with the last button's endIndex variable. it should be 12 not 15 (in this case)

I have a flex application that uses BrowserManager for Deep Linking.
But whenever the # changes the new hash fragment gets appending to the bottom of the page. In IE it is inside a frame that says "Hidden frame for Browser History support." I didn't even know it worked that way. But anyways it is not supposed to be showing up visibly on the page but it is..

I created a movieclip animation that only activates when i rollover the movieclip button. I further extended the frames and created another frame animation that i active only when user clicks the button. So i have a roll over/out animation and click animation in the same movieclip in the same layer. Now the problem is that when i click on the button, its supposed to take me to another page, and it does, unfortunately without the click animation. That means after i click on the button its supposed to first finish the click animation and then go to another page. But when i click, it takes me to another page without showing the click animation
SO I tried the If function, but i seem to make a mistake somewhere and i dont know what to do. Now there is no error in script, but onw there is a problem in link, the button finishes the click animation but it does not go to the tarrgeted"about" frame. here's the code

i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,

I have a master page and a child page and have placed the javascript code inside the child page for flash movie.
The problem is the movie seems working when there is a alert on, without at least one alert msg, the code does not work, I am sure you people can solve, I can see that the following code works well in both Mozilla and IE, but only if the alert is ON, if I put it off, then the code does not work. Can anybody tell me what is the workaround :

When i zoom into the page then move around the edge of the page can be moved past the edge of the browser window showing the static page which appears at the start of the document. Is it possible to use actionscript to stop the page being dragged past a certain point so the static page is not seen? On the example below the static page is white so it does not pose too much of a problem however im using the static page as a sort of instruction page and it looks a bit rubbish if the user drags a page past the edge of the view window and see's the original page. I have an swf loaded in a browswer (fire fox) and i use log on console using [code]I have initialized my swf in the document class on the Event.Added to stage.and i have a clean up function performing all the clean up/exit process in the code on the event [code]Now Doubt that this is being called/ activated/trigered as i am not able to log the start and end of the function to the console.The console log is of firebug.What exactly am i missing here? I have a flash site that has four pages which all stretch to fit window size.As soon as I go to a gallery page that is called in via SWF, and come back, I loose my dynamic stretching of all my pages...I would like the SWF page to stretch to fit also, and its isn't.

I have a flash header for an html site that is about a megabyte and obviously needs a preloader. Unfortunately it won't work to have the preloader loading at the top while the rest of the html below is visible — it will end up looking like the top navigation is cut off, as the top 10 pixels of the nav bar is actually in the swf header (fully loaded it will look contiguous)Is there a way to preload it in one html page and then once it's loaded into the cache automatically jump to the page with the big swf?

My basic aim is to create a newspaper that consists of four pages. Each page i have created and are sitting in the library as sprites. Each page has buttons that need linking so that when pressed it loads the next page or page that i want. So I am doing a flash intro page, but the intro becomes the home page, as in all the pieces come together to create the Flash home page, so that there is just one file for the home page that includes the intro from Flash..how do I make it so that all the parts on the page stay there indefinitely, because right now after a certain amount of time, they disappear due to using the timeline in Flash.

I have a site where all the pages have a common SWF embedded at the top (Nav and banner), but the rest of the page is HTML.Everything is working fine, but I'm finding the 'independence' between the HTML and Flash is making for some sloppy transitions from page to page.I was expecting the SWF to be delayed, at least for the first page visit(and I have a preload routine inside the swf to make it's delay and appearance a bit more visually pleasant), but was surprised to sometimes find the SWF appearing and playing while the HTML content was delayed (resulting in a SWF floating in black).What I'm wondering is if there's a way I can do some sort of preload on my index page.BUT, not the standard one that I'm sure everyone would suggest (like the javascript image 'preload', or the newer 'css visibility' preload trick). The problem with the standard one is that it doesn't check to see if everything is loaded.What I'm after is a routine on my index page that invisibly loads some of the elements from my inner pages (common swf, maybe some of the images) and WAITS until it's done before moving to the inner pages (displaying the company logo and/or a load status in the meantime).Many people would suggest a preloader inside the common SWF on my inner pages (which I have), but the problem with that on its own is that it doesn't stop the HTML from displaying.
I'm trying to figure out a way to do a preloader (like those in a SWF, which loops until everything is loaded) that controls both the SWF AND the HTML.Recently, I found that you can use one swf to preload another, which would be a potential solution, as I could make an SWF on the index page whose sole purpose is to load (invisibly) the common SWF, displaying the load status and then loading an inner html page once it's done.Problem is, I have bee having trouble finding the coding for that, as most searches for preloaders end up being about standard preloaders, where it's monitoring the same SWF that the code is on, as opposed to controlling a second, external SWF.Can someone point me to or provide me with the proper coding/procedure for a preloader that controlls a second external swf or give me a better solution?

I have a project for a site that sells fishing lures.I want to have an animated index page before moving on to the home page. My idea is to have a boat sitting on a pond fishing lines in the water, when a fish jumps out of the water, the water ripples, the next time you see the fish it's got a hook in it mouth and jumping out of the water.how do I go about it? How to I create the water rippling? I think with the fish I can do easily enough with it jumping on and off stage. Would I do the water with shape tweens?
