I'm new in FMS Recently, i create an application to record videos from my camera and recorded it But, when i tried to play it in an HTML, i met errors. The .flv jumps to the end when the progress is in the middle. And i tried to play in an .exe, it plays well.
I thought that FMS3.1 supported f4v files but I cannot get mine to play. It says it cannot find the stream specified but the file is right where all my other files are that do play fine (both flv and mp4 files). Am I incorrect in thinking that FMS3.1 supports f4v files or do I have the wrong code?
In my .smil file, if I put this line it works: <video src="sample.flv" system-bitrate="150000"/> But if I put the following line it doesn't work: <video src="mp4:sample1_150kbps.f4v" system-bitrate="150000"/> Both video files are in the webrootvod folder. I am using the sample dynamicStream.smil code, so my syntax should be right.
There are some recorded flv files. The guy in the video is showing numbers with his hands. (1.flv, 2.flv, 3.flv etc) And there are live idle videos. In these idle videos the guy doesnt do anything.
I need to be able to click 1 as the operator and viewers should see the guy make "1" in the video. Actually I have accomplished so far. It works. I do this:
If the operator selects a video it adds the video to playlist: stream.play(filename, -2, -1, false);
Also have this event handler to play a random idle video when there are no more action videos lined up:
function onStreamStatus(obj) { if (obj.code != "NetStream.Play.Stop") return; switch (obj.code) {
[Code].....
So it is working so far. Problem is:
As time goes by there appears to be a delay between I issue the play command on the stream and I actually see it in the video on client side.
We have one player in this player we are playing flv files. If we are opening that player in the mozilla we can view the flv file after 2 second but in the internet explorer we can see the same flv after 20 to 25 second.
We are recording live streams on a Flash Media Interactive Server 3.5.3 r824. In general, everything works fine, so there are no appliaction-issues. But sometimes (it is not reproducable yet) a stream stops recording without any notice or event in the application. All we can find is such a message in our core.log: 2010-03-05 03:30:00 4747 (e)2611178 Error from libmp4.so: No Space left in the stsd box. - 2010-03-05 03:30:00 4747 (e)2611423 Failed to record [...]16891_14351_RGtBCODxPR4cM8QfML9CuxqhHqutMwWX.f4v (Unknown Error). where i could start searching for the cause of this error? These streams are in general sent by Adobe Media Live Encoder.
As titled, what is the way to record video/audio files using Flash Meida Server through rmtp, and allow users to access the recorded files through http? What I am trying to do, is to record a user's microphone's input and save it to the server.fterwards, I would like other users to be able to access the recorded files and mainuplating the audio data, by computeSpectrum(), to do some visualization of the audio. As I know computeSpectrum() cannot work on streaming files, so I think I need to access the recorded files using http instead of rmtp. Is that true?
I just installed Flash Media Server 4.5 on my apache2.2 server. I am running the default webpage from the program, https:[url].... I get an error when running the HDS streaming sample Error#2032. The rtmp sample runs fine. I run the HLS on IE and it give the error message that it can only run on Safari, whicvh is fine. BUt when I run this sample on Safari nothing happens.
We purchased FMIS and we are encoding large 15+ hour MP4 recordings using flash media encoder. When opening these large files for playback, which have not been opened recently the player displays the loading indicator for up to 4 minutes! Once it has apparently been cached on the server it opens immediately from any browser even after clearing local browser cache. So a few questions for the experts
1. Why is it taking so long to load the file. Is it because the MP4 metadata is in the wrong format and the file is so huge? I read somewhere that Media Encoder records with incorrect MP4 metadata is that still the case?
2. Once its cached on the server, exactly how much of it is cached. Some of these files are larger than 500mb.
3. What fms settings do you suggest I change. FMIS is running on windows server R2 64 bit, but FMIS itself is 32 bit. We have not upgraded to the 64 bit version. We have 8GB of ram. Is it OK to set FMS cache to 3GB. And would that only have enough room for 3-4 large files, because we have hundreds of them.
I am using flash media server 4.5 for video streaming and genrate log files. In log file i have found the user publish point name in "x-sname" filed but this filed contains blank values in many events. This fileds contains value only in "PUBLISH,UN_PUBLISH,RECORD and PUBLISH_CONTONUE" event and other then these 4 events all events are not user related event.?I like to fetch the user bandwidth detials using these log files which user used how many bandwidth.I also like to know I can see serval files on flash log folder name "access.00.log,access001.log and admin.00.log,admin.001.log" Any one please explain what is the name convation for this filed how can i identifiy which files contains information for which date.?
We may be using Flash Media Server in an intranet only scenario. All users will be watching the videos from Windows boxes. Our users who are creating the videos want to track usage by user ID. Does the server log the client's user ID? Is that what c-client-id is? If c-client-id is used to store Windows user name do I need to turn on AD/windows authentication to get that info? I see that IP address is stored, but it would be simpler if the user Id were in the log file.
This project was shelved for quite some time, but is now picking up again.
Here is my setup: FMS 4.0 installed on a C: only 65GB available I want to store media on the I: as there are 300GB available
For whatever reason I can not make this work. How can I get the media to play from a different drive other then the install drive. When I play the media from C: all works fine, but this is not a practical solution since the drive is too small to store media.
I have edited the application.xml as below (adding <Streams>/;I:
I try to switch or change a server-side stream, it starts lagging after 2 seconds of playing and sound disappears. Here are scenarios that result in that terrible lag:
1. I create server-side playlist with stream.play() with reset=false; when it is time to play the next movie in the playlist, it starts lagging after 2 seconds.
2. The same problems appears when I just switch streams. I installed FMF Feature Explorer and tried to launch SwitchStreams sample application: the same problem - server stream starts lagging after I switch streams with stream.play().
I tried on different servers (local and remote), with different players (debug player of FMS Admin Console, Standard Flash videoplayer component, OSMF player, Flex video player). I also tried all possible flv, f4v and mp4 file compression options for video files - still the same problem. I have also tried literally thousands of Application.xml settings: changing buffer, buffer ration etc. Is there any tip where I should search for a solution?
iam streaming my web cam to FMS .... i have got a latency of 1 -2 second,,,,,, What should i do to reduce the latency,,,,,, is ter any change i can make in FMS files(xml files) in order to reduce the latency......
The company I work for installed FMS on a server running Centos for a customer who needed streaming media capabilities. It worked fine for 3 months until today the customer called us and informed us that their client program can no longer connect to the streaming media server. No one has done anything to the server to cause this to happen. When attempting to access the admin console to diagnose the program, the streaming server returned a 500 Internal Server Error. So I tried another page. Same result. Reboots of both the hardware server and the FMS have changed nothing.
Is there a way to stream data instead of media files? In particular I'm interested to stream swf files that will be dinamically loaded by another swf client. I see this interesting message talking about how to do this on Wowza but I prefer to find a solution also in FMS to use the SWF Verification feature.
If an end user wants to view a certain file on the server but does not know the file name how can they search/locate it?As an administrator I have access to the VOD folder, but end users do not have admin rights. How does a user find the file they are looking for?
can you write and modify XML files using server-side Actionscript? I've been going through Adobe's Server-side Actionscript reference, reading up on the File class that lets you modify files on the server, and the server-side XML class that lets you read and 'understand' XML data, but can you put them together and essentially edit XML files on the server?
I have Adobe Flash Media Server 3.01 installed on my server. I can record files via user's webcam and convert them to .flv with spesific compression sizes. But i want my users my users to upload an .avi, .mpeg / .mpg, .mov etc file via an http form and after upload finishes i want fms to convert file to flv.
It can be done with the ffmpeg tool free but i wonder if interactive server has a feature like this.
I have a problem on streaming my files with the FMS 4. There are several testfiles on my VOD-directory, most of them with a length about 2 minutes. Altough there are some with 12 minutes. So if i want to play all those files with the StrobeMediaPlayer, only the files with a 12 minutes length are working, on the others the player ist sayin "We are unable to connect to the content you´ve requested. We apologize for the inconveniece.".ind any option or notice where it says there is a minimum lenght to stream... so whats going wrong here?Additional Infos:FLV, MP4H.264 + AAC
I have an flash application that captures a web cam video stream and stores it on the FMS server.I notice when I create a brand new video, and store it on my FMS server, it works fine. When I make another video and my application overrides the file with the new video, this is where I get problems. When I download the flv file from the FMS server, and I play it locally it plays fine, but the timeline is weird. The web player freezes the video during that first 15 seconds.A 30 second video, will have a time line of like 45 seconds, the local flv player is smart enough to skip over the paused part of the video. You will see it skip over the timeline to the good video (from 0sec to 15 secs). The web player freezes the video during that first 15 seconds.
I am developing application for recording the video in mp4 format with h.264 codec and I am able to record video in mp4 format with h.264 codec, but when I am compiling the Swf by "CTRL+Enter" at that time I am facing error "VerifyError: Error #1014: Class flash.media::H264VideoStreamSettings could not be found" and when I am publishing Swf by "ALT+Shift+F12" then I am not facing any error, what step I need to do for removing the error.
I have developed an application for recording the mp4 format movie. I am able to record mp4 format file but my recorded file is not playing in window media player.
so, if any body have some idea/suggestion about play pre-recorded mp4 file in window media player then your most welcome.
