Professional :: Adobe Flash - Missing Timeline Part
May 8, 2010I cant see my keyframe bar if its called that, 5 - 10-15 etc, I tried resetting workspace everything but cant get it back, any ideas?

Aug 1, 2011I have a timeline composed of 10 layers, having got keyframes and tweens etc all positioned, I need to make part of it e.g. 5 secs longer. How is this done, I can highlight one column of frames and right click and choose insert frame but doing that for 120 times (5 x 24fps) is going to take too long. I hoped to see in right click an option for add frames with a duration or number of frames entry window.I saw something on the internet that said select a width of frames and hit F6 but for me that launches a screen capture prog and I cant see where in that prog F6 is nominated for that capture.

Dec 14, 2011I want to make an animation over live action footage, I've looked on the guides and the ones which explain what I need to do are for previous versions of Flash and don't work on CS5.I'm wondering how I can import a video in to Adobe Flash CS5, so that it plays in the timeline frame by frame? I dont mean putting it on one frame so it will play, but so i can edit objects over the top of the flash in each single frame.

Mar 3, 2012I published an app to Air 2.5 (.air) from Adobe Flash CS 5 and afterwards also to Air Android (.apk) Since then I receive this error message if I try to publish as .air again:
Error creating files. Icon file is missing.
I tried to delete and recreate the folder and pathes but the error still appears.

Sep 26, 2010Every time I install it it seems fine and works for a couple of days. Suddenly one day it won't open and all it says in the message is "flashresource file missing. please reinstall flash " So I say uh oh and reinstall. Works great so I think ok problem solved. Then a couple of days later it does it again. I have gone through this 5 times, each time reinstalling works for a few days or week then blammo suddenly "flashresourcefile is missing. please reinstall flash" I am completely stumped. After effects, premiere pro, soundbooth, all work great. Flash professiional is the only one doing this.

Professional :: How To Edit A Missing Flash Image
Sep 25, 2011I was given a flash project to edit. I have to edit one image in Photoshop, but when I right click on it and choose Edit with -Photoshop, an error message comes up saying "The file G:Web-02Sitefilm120902.gif does not exist, unable to launch external editor". I don't understand how Flash can list the image and display the image when I click on it, yet it doesn't exist. I tried to copy the image and paste it in photoshop but it only pastes a very low resolution version of it. What do I do?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Missing Timeline Variables Publishing Child Swf?
Nov 29, 2008I've simplified the problem but basically i have two files: parent.fla and child.fla.. parent.fla has its own class definition of type ParentClass and is basically defined as below..

These classes all have the relevant imports etc so there's no compilation errors.But when i try to publish the child.fla i get the error
saying..1120: Access of undefined property btnOnStage
my work around at the moment is just putting in var btnOnStage:SimpleButton; into the ParentObject class which lets it publish it fine, but it obviously causes conflicts when i publish the parent.fla as btnOnStage already exists.I know this is because basically the object is on the timeline in the parent.fla and is being accessed from the class and has never been defined. But how do i get around this? Is there a way to tell flash that there will be a variable like that there and dont worry bout it?

Apr 3, 2011This has me stumped and frustrated! I have some simple bitmaps that I've masked with graphics. When I use the playhead to watch the movie, it looks fine. When I preview or publish, the masked images are missing completely. What could I be doing wrong? A couple additional notes - the layer with the graphic (symbol) is rotated and the layer above it (mask) is also rotated at an angle. I don't see how that should matter at all...

Jan 31, 2011I remember in an older version of flash you could put a gotoAndPlay statement in the last frame of a sequence telling it to go back to the first frame in a sequence, but as I understand it you are not supposed to put script into frames anymore. So is there a way to tell a movie clip to play and repeat just part of its timeline (say a walking sequence) and then have it change to a different sequence later (such as jumping)?ed.

Feb 23, 2009I need to create a tall background, when the user clicks on a button the background will scroll up and down to the area that the user wants to go to. ( I　attach an image of how that might look like)
The background is divided in to 4 sections, the way i figure to do this, is to have each section be a different part of the timeline- and what Ｉ need to happen is as the user arrives at one of the sections or in that part of the timeline the mc's on that sections start playing and stoping once he/she leaves.
If there is a better way of doing this as well- feel free of telling me- Im use flash about once a year.

Feb 13, 2011On my old computer (Windows XP) I was using Flashpaper to convert jpg files to swf files that can be panned and zoomed. It worked great for my website. Here is an example. [URL] I just purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium for my new computer (Windows 7). I was told that it included the ability of Flashpaper to create the pan/zoom swf files. I can't find this ability. Please tell me where it is located or that I need to purchase Flashpaper for my new computer. Please note, I use Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver, but the only Flash I use is the swf to pan and zoom via Flashpaper. Please keep this in mind when answering my question, i.e. I probably need specifics if the functionality is located in Flash.

Professional :: Make Flash Not Export Any Part Of A Layer That Extends Beyond The Size Of The Document?
Jul 29, 2010Within my flash file, some of the layers/objects go off of the sides of the document as I want them to. When I play the file within the test movie function within flash, the file plays fine and none of the layers that extend of the document cause problems(the samething happens when I play it in flash player). But when I open the file in a web broswer the layers that extended off the edges of the document show up. Is there anyway to get rid of this without having to redo the whole file? (ie, crop around the main document size, or set it to export only everything within the document and nothing that extends off of it?)

Oct 9, 2010When I tried to open it, it came up with "The FlashResources.dll is missing.einstall". I did reinstall.. 3 times. Still the same problem. I decided to take matters into my own hands and download the FlashResources.dll file from google and download it. I put it into me system32 file and ran ' regsvr32 flashresources.dll ' but then it said "DllRegisterServer entry point not found".
