Has anyone seen a Flash Component that creates a slide transition similar to this [URL]. Looks like there is a looping background image and the other slides are loaded above it (hopefully via XML?) and the transition effect maybe in a component???

I have a presentation using the "presentation" template that comes with flash. I am trying to transition slides with the behavior slide transition options. but I've learned that it works find while going into a slide and doesn't go to the next slide when leaving.So basically I want it so that on right arrow first play out transition then go to next slide.
View 2 RepliesI've setup an FLVPlayback 2.5 component with no skin. Then I've added all the UI components and assigned them to the FLVPlayback instance. I'm using a PlayPauseButton, a SeekBar, a MuteButton, a VolumeBar and a FullScreenButton. All of the components had their graphics customized. Extra care was taken not to rename or delete any movieclips.
If I try the custom components by publishing the movie, everything works fine.The problem arises when I dynamically load this SWF into another one. The parent SWF loads the playback controls and instantiates everything and starts the video playerback.
What doesn't work is the SeekBar's and VolumeBar's Handle. It just doesn't appear. If I put a trace() in those MovieClips, they never appear on the console, as if they are never created.
I have a custom viewstack that applies automatically a slide in/slide out effect when the view changes. Everything goes smoothly when the views are lightweight but becomes jumpy when the next view requires heavy rendering. Here are the relevant parts of the code :

View 12 RepliesI am using currentSlide.gotoNextSlide to change between slides, however I can't make it stop playback on load of each slide.I have a motion tween with I need to NOT play automatically when the slide loads... but no matter how many iterations of stop(), gotoAndStop(), etc I use, nothing will stop the clip from playing when it is loaded!

So, if I have a presentation with 50 slides and they are named 001 to 050 and I need to insert a slide between slide 010 and 011 is there a way to have Flash renumber them or do I have to just manually rename.

View 2 RepliesWhen I test a flash file by hitting "ctrl+Enter" it creates a .swf in same directory as my .fla. does the resulting .swf file actually use the selected publish settings of my .fla file? Or when creating an .swf by "ctrl+enter" does it only use a "default" setting?

Each slide contains animation and plays well the first time but when if I want to back to a slide, it would only show the last frame of that slidI tried many things including making buttons for back and forth and managed to make buttons that fade when you pan over them (big accomplishment:) but can't get them to actually do stuff for me, like go forward and backward. I have a website that I created using a flash template from Hostgator. I have the text portion complete and now want to add some of my own pictures into a slide show or gallery on a serperate page linked to my site. Is there a way to do so. have little experience using them. I thought I could insert the slide show directly into the template like an HTML page.My site is live now and it will give you a better understanding of what I want because I am pretty ignorant when trying to describe issues that I have.My goal would be to have a seperate page not linked to the bones buttons on the top, just a page that I have in my public html folder that are hyper linked to words in the website itself

View 2 RepliesI'm working on a slide presentation, and for the most part, I haven't had too many problems. But one quirk I'm trying to overcome is getting a slide to replay if the presenter re-enters it. Say you have a presentation with 3 slides, and each slide has an animation.After slide 1, you move to slide 2, watch the animation, and go to slide 3. After that animation plays, you want to go back to slide 2 for some reason. When you re-enter slide 2, the animation is stopped at the last frame. I'd like it so that the animation plays again from frame 1 upon re-entry. Is there any way to do this or is this just one of those "Flash Presentation" things I have to live with?

View 1 RepliesWhen I changed hosting from the companies hosting to my own personal GoDaddy hosting everything went right, except for 2 flash slide shows (Simple rotating images). They just apear as clear boxes now. You can see what I am talking about here: [URL] and here [URL] . You will notice the empty large empty box on the right in both pages. When you right click on it the browser recognizes that it is flash. On the Piza site I tried taking out the original code and entering the flash object via Dreamweaver CS5, but that yeilded the same results (I only mention this because the code on that site will thus look a bit different).

I understand that I somehow need to make use of fscommand in ActionScript, but I'm not sure how I can get Flash and PowerPoint to communicate between themselves.

I am trying to make a 'Slide-Show' like flash object that flips through slides at a predetermined speed and when a slide is clicked on it takes you to a new page. I am aware of some web sites like slide.com but they seem to include ads which I don't want on a professional site. View 7 RepliesI built a functional flash header, that has slides in it with various images. The user can see the main image, and then there are 6 thumbnails that they use to click on to change slides or images.
I am trying to figure out how to automate those slides, so they "automatically" flash though, with an interval of 4 or 5 seconds, then the next slide. (above image are the slides I need to automatically go thru).
Looking into my files, I think I should just be able to apply some actions to each slide, however all the code I tried has been a failure.
So in a nutshell, I have a flash file that has image that move when clicked, and I am trying to have that automated so the slides/image slide automatically.
I can't seem to find the "transition timeline effect" at all in flash cs 5. It was in ther previous version before by just right clicking a layer in flash.

I have been shown how to do a very specific task in Flash Pro CS5. I have five slides in my timeline, with buttons that include links to product pages on our website. These five slides comprise a movie, with each slide being displayed for a few seconds and it repeatedly cycles through the five slides in a banner at the top of our home page. In addition there is a navigation bar below my slide images with a play and pause option, plus the five slide numbers so the viewer can navigate from slide to slide manually. I have been asked to change the order of the slides so that slide #5 now becomes slide #1 and slide #1 becomes slide #2, and so on.
I can easily switch the images and links so that the slides are in a different order in my file, but now the navigation bar below does not work. In the Actions panel, the #1 button in the navigation bar still appears to be linked to slide 1, which now has the new images, yet the nav bar does not respond to clicks anymore. How was my nav bar disabled when I switched the images and links around between the slides? and how can I correct this? I know nothing else about Flash except how to replace the images and change the button links in each slide, which I do monthly, as this is the top banner on our website.
I have a question regarding createEmptyMovieClip in AS2. I have a flash file separated out into sections with labels and menu buttons which allow you to move you to the relevant frame/section (which contains the information/contents relevant to that section). This works fine. What I can't work out is that if I manually put a movieclip on the stage in my 'about section' and then add contents to it via AS2 then it only exists within the about us section. If I do it using createEmptyMovieClip within the actions for the about frame this works fine but it then always exists on every other frame of the project. I assume this is because it isn't actually creating it within this frame but I can't work out how to make it do this, even when i use this.createEmptyMovieClip it has exactly the same effect. I can obviously remove the movieclip completely each time a user moves to another frame that doesn't contain it but I don't want to do this as it contains a youtube video and leaving it means it doesn't have to be reloaded each time they come back.
I would be massively grateful if anyone could shed any light on this for me as I know i'm not getting how to place it correctly but i'm not sure how I should be doing it?
