View 7 RepliesI've created a multi frame MC for placing each of my slide out images on and have added a tween slide out MC.my onrelease is working and I've correctly switched the image frame for the relevant picture being clicked before playing the tween MC.However once the MC stops playing the image MC is reverting back to showing frame one image.Why is this happening? Also why when the slide out MC is over the smaller clicklable image the hit area is still available through the image being shown?I've ensured that the slide out MC is on the top most layer, how do I make its backgroud solid so any clickable item underneath is not available.

However, when I navigate to a page I have already viewed, it only shows the last frame of the slide rather than starting from frame 1 of the slide. View 6 RepliesI have made a slider that I am having issues with. This slider is to control the timeline of a movie clip when dragged. My problem with this is that It seems to be duplicating the first frame. When I slide the slider to the right it will hit first tick and still display what is in frame 1 .. then on the next ticks it will continue with the rest of the timeline. how to prevent / over come my slider from doing this with the first frame?

I am using currentSlide.gotoNextSlide to change between slides, however I can't make it stop playback on load of each slide.I have a motion tween with I need to NOT play automatically when the slide loads... but no matter how many iterations of stop(), gotoAndStop(), etc I use, nothing will stop the clip from playing when it is loaded!
View 1 RepliesI built a functional flash header, that has slides in it with various images. The user can see the main image, and then there are 6 thumbnails that they use to click on to change slides or images.
I am trying to figure out how to automate those slides, so they "automatically" flash though, with an interval of 4 or 5 seconds, then the next slide. (above image are the slides I need to automatically go thru).
Looking into my files, I think I should just be able to apply some actions to each slide, however all the code I tried has been a failure.
So in a nutshell, I have a flash file that has image that move when clicked, and I am trying to have that automated so the slides/image slide automatically.

View 2 RepliesI have been shown how to do a very specific task in Flash Pro CS5. I have five slides in my timeline, with buttons that include links to product pages on our website. These five slides comprise a movie, with each slide being displayed for a few seconds and it repeatedly cycles through the five slides in a banner at the top of our home page. In addition there is a navigation bar below my slide images with a play and pause option, plus the five slide numbers so the viewer can navigate from slide to slide manually. I have been asked to change the order of the slides so that slide #5 now becomes slide #1 and slide #1 becomes slide #2, and so on.
I can easily switch the images and links so that the slides are in a different order in my file, but now the navigation bar below does not work. In the Actions panel, the #1 button in the navigation bar still appears to be linked to slide 1, which now has the new images, yet the nav bar does not respond to clicks anymore. How was my nav bar disabled when I switched the images and links around between the slides? and how can I correct this? I know nothing else about Flash except how to replace the images and change the button links in each slide, which I do monthly, as this is the top banner on our website.
I am creating a flash slide presentation to use as part of an online portfolio. I have created a presentation that so far has three slides, each containing a flv that I imported and added a skin to.Is there any way to stop the movie on slide one (besides manually) when I move to slide two? I don't care if the mvie returns to the begining or not i just want to beable and view the video on slide two without hearing the sound from slide one.

wondering if this is a Global Variable problem? Is there any reason that the "variables" variable would stop populating after the first slide? Obviously, they are getting to the last slide since the submit button is passing them (or is the external file doing it?), but don't know why the post ones are not going.
What is the easiest way (for Fash novice) to navigate back and forth between the slides of presentation made with Flash Slide Presentation feature. Each slide contains animation and plays well the first time but when if I want to back to a slide, it would only show the last frame of that slidI tried many things including making buttons for back and forth and managed to make buttons that fade when you pan over them (big accomplishment:) but can't get them to actually do stuff for me, like go forward and backward. Is there an easier way to change the speed of the slide show other than dragging each frame on the time line?I dragged each frame 20 frames longer and it's not working for me. My problem is that the Hand Cursor doesn't always appear on the slide with a link, and sometimes appears on a slide without a link. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Here's the code I have in one of the slides with a link that doesn't show the hand cursor:

Here's the slideshow on my client's website:[URL] You'll see that the 1st slide should have a hand cursor since it has a link to it. The second slide (beading 101 ad) has a hand cursor but shouldn't since there's no code on it - no url on this one.

I have the text portion complete and now want to add some of my own pictures into a slide show or gallery on a serperate page linked to my site. Is there a way to do so. have little experience using them. I thought I could insert the slide show directly into the template like an HTML page.My site is live now and it will give you a better understanding of what I want because I am pretty ignorant when trying to describe issues that I have.My goal would be to have a seperate page not linked to the bones buttons on the top, just a page that I have in my public html folder that are hyper linked to words in the website itself

But one quirk I'm trying to overcome is getting a slide to replay if the presenter re-enters it. Say you have a presentation with 3 slides, and each slide has an animation.After slide 1, you move to slide 2, watch the animation, and go to slide 3. After that animation plays, you want to go back to slide 2 for some reason. When you re-enter slide 2, the animation is stopped at the last frame. I'd like it so that the animation plays again from frame 1 upon re-entry. Is there any way to do this or is this just one of those "Flash Presentation" things I have to live with?

Is there a way that I can change the background colour so that it blends with the background colour of the website?
View 1 RepliesWhen I changed hosting from the companies hosting to my own personal GoDaddy hosting everything went right, except for 2 flash slide shows (Simple rotating images). They just apear as clear boxes now. You can see what I am talking about here: [URL] and here [URL] . You will notice the empty large empty box on the right in both pages. When you right click on it the browser recognizes that it is flash. On the Piza site I tried taking out the original code and entering the flash object via Dreamweaver CS5, but that yeilded the same results (I only mention this because the code on that site will thus look a bit different).

I understand that I somehow need to make use of fscommand in ActionScript, but I'm not sure how I can get Flash and PowerPoint to communicate between themselves.
I'm using Flash MX 2004 7.0 and Powerpoint 2003.
