New to flash and building banner ads.My problem is that I have made a banner ad that works when I preview it but when I try sending it to someone else via email all that shows up are 5 white circles in the middle that rotate flashing.I thought it might have been something with the video so I tried sending the ad without the video and it still did the same thing.

What Happens is that if I navigate away from the page that contains the youtube video it keeps playing. If I go back to the page a copy of that video is playing but the one I view is not.I'm trying to figure out how to stop the video when I move away from the trailer tab.I have the youtube video embeded in a MC.Here is the code I try to stop it with:

I exported a swf file of my animated Flash banner, and my one of my images (a PNF file I imported into my Library, and drug to my Stage) is larger than the stage area. When I expand the window of Flash Player of my swf file, I see the boundary area of my banner, but the rest of my image is visable outside of the banner area.Imagine just the tip of an iceberg is what I want within my banner, but the ENTIRE iceberg is visale beyond the set size of my stage...that's the best way I can explain it. Is this something to do with PNG files in Flash

I have a flash movie [I'm using it as a presentation] and in it i have a video [embedded as FLVPlayback] when i run this in flash player in full screen mode [the flash player not the flash file]. when it gets to the frame with the video the video tries to run in fullscreen. I just want it to run with in the flash file that is running fullscreen.
View 2 RepliesI have a Flash movie which is embeded in 'base.aspx' file, when a button is clicked in the flash movie another 'something.aspx' file need to be called.When I run the flash movie from the Adobe Flash Professional CS3 IDE , it (the flash movie) calls the 'something.aspx' file just as expected.However when I embed the flash movie in to the 'base.aspx' file it doesn't work as expected .

Click on a HTML Text Field and Click on a Flex Field. Begin to type a text.
Expected Result is the entered text should go in the Flex TextInput field but the actual Result is it goes into HTML text field.
The project i'm working on contains many flv's which are dynamically loaded into our custom media player, and then again loaded into our flex application. We are having an issue with these flv's. Well i should say some of them. Our problem is based on browsers. In IE everything runs fine. In firefox, some work, some dont. We run different courses though our application. In 1 loaded course, the flv's play perfectly fine. No loading issues or delaying or freezing. But on this one course all of the flv's contained within it will not load. Like i said before, when we test this on IE they work. Only firefox is causing the issue. I have researched this issue and have came up empty handed.
View 6 RepliesI suppose the title says it all. I can load an external video file (FLV) and I can have it play. I also have the custom buttons made to control the clip. The only thing I have left to do is to have the main timeline move onto frame 2 once the external video reaches its end. I am using actionscript 3 and flash cs 5.5.

1- ScrollingImages.swf file to lunch the flash
2- ScrollingImages.xml file that the swf file uses to read images from thumbnails folder
3-thumbnails folder which content images used by swf file. I can embed the swf file to html easily using this code:

I have a project where I use several SWFs and have the fonts outlines stored into a seperate SWF. Within the .fla file's I have checked the Import for runtime sharing with the various font definitions.In the library the linkage part shows for every font the Import: classnamTo get a correct idea how things look within the IDE, I've checked several character ranges within the font properties so the preview renders correctly.In Flash CS5 everything was working correctly; no font outline was included within the SWF. The size report also shows this.When I create the SWF with Flash CS5.5 font outlines of the selected ranges still get embedded into the SWF. The file size of the SWF is much larger and the font outline information shows up in the size report.

i want to call a javascript function from within an embeded swf file in a html page and i'm using the ExternalInterface class. i know this function must be defined in a <script> tag in the html page. however, i want to have all my javascript code in an external file, but it doesn't work. my trial file just can't find the function, although i have my external js file linked in the header.

I did a 10 second animation in Flash CS5 and exported to a swf file, but my client is asking me a to convert it to a video file with this requirements:
Size: HDTV 720P. (1280 X 720) pixels. 30FPS. (Frames per second)Format: stream format: HDV-HD1. Stream Type: MPEG-2. Transport Stream(TS). Aspect Ratio: 16:9. Britate Type: CBR (Constant Bitrate).
Number of passes: 1. Video Bitrate: 18300
I tried some conversion programs to do the job:

Magic Swf2AviXilisoft Video Converter Ultimate 6Total Video Converter HD All of them recognizes the swf file fine, ( I set up the fla file with 1280 X 720 pixels and 30 fps) but when I try to export to a video format with the previous specifications using any of the programs, I get a very slow video, not smooth at all, and sometimes a large video with 2+ minutes (supposed to be only 10 sec). The swf file plays fine
possible to split up a video file into different parts using the netstream classes? I see youtube do this with large video files, for example, for video named goodvideo, it would stream goodvideo part1,goodvideo part2, goodvideo part3,etc but I'm not sure how to split the video file up.

View 1 RepliesI've created a form in Flash 8. I want the form to be emailed to a certain address after the user completes the form. I was hoping to use a submit button to send it. However I'm not figuring it out. I've made the form but when I select submit I just get a blank email form with the TO address I want and none of the data.I don't want this data recorded in a database just sent plain to a group mailbox.

I have set the absolute file path including http://www.etc..com however the movie does not load. Is the _root correct? Should this be cleared?
View 2 RepliesI downloaded some videos from youtube and vimeo , and when I doubble click on the file, its just an empty container, I do have Flash 8 and my friend helped me a bit to play the file by using Flash 8 , but whenever I wanna play the file, I have to have that Flash plyer in the same folder, can some1 be kind and help me a bit to convert my Flee or Flea , whatever is that called to a AVI or any other types of file , which Premiere can load !

The animation contains various movie clips and run in conjunction with an overall audio backing track.
It's my understanding that nested movie clips won't work when I export to video due to them having a timeline of their own however having a flash file with everything on the master time line would contain too many layers and frames to be manageable.
Is there any way I can export my file to video (avi, mpeg etc) or do I need to get some third party software, in which case any advice on those?
I have preloader bar of loading video. If i use NetStream actions bytesLoaded and bytesTotal to create preloader this show how many bytes are loaded I want to create how many seconds of video file are loaded. The same preloader are on youtube player. If i use NetStream actions and if i move slider of position to end of preloader bar video is no playing from place where i put slider but slider are go back, and then video is playing. I want to video are playing from place where i put slider.

My Flash CS4 banner works OK. However if I place the above code just above the </head> tag, the banner does not seem to load! I am trying to load a video file just above the footer div and the above swf code. The video loads and plays but the Flash banner and <body. tag background color do not load. Is the SWFObject a necessary tool
