Professional :: Fill Empty Text Boxes - Email To Admin?

I'm trying to incorporate a "Send me a message" type of deal into my flash form on CS5..
After much research, I cannot find example code to send an email with the data from the "Name, E-mail, and Message" buttons.
Is it possible to tell a text box to auto fit to its text? What I mean is that when i change the size of a font to something smaller the text box remains its old large self. This is a problem because when I want to align this text with several other text boxes that have gone through similar treatment, the alignment will take into account the full box size rather than just the text.
So basically I have to go and manually shorten each text box. Which is a pain when you have to deal with a lot of text. Is there a script or button/option I'm not aware of that will auto fit the box constantly?
I'm writing a very simple AS2 class, that only should create an empty movieClip and fill the stage with a box drawn with the lineTo property. But for some reason, Stage.height always returns a number that is exactly 100px less than the actual stage height.

I am a PHP Developer, I know nothing about Flash and with all respect I do not want to know anything about. I develop a CMS which provides the backend for a Flash front end. Data is passed to the template via XML. Everything is grand. The problem is with text formatting. Currently we use the dodgiest flash text formatter. It doesn't work half the time, its horrible but it - just about - does the job. I have been tasked with replacing it. I would like to bring in CKEditor or TinyMCE but when I do I have 2 major problems.
1) Pre-existing HTML messes up the display in TinyMCE due to its invalidity (I can solve this.) 2) The TinyMCE HTML breaks the flash template because of the valid HTML.
I have a problem with Input Text boxes within an exported swf. The font (Arial Narrow) has been embedded via Text > Font Embedding (Uppercase, Lowercase, Numerals, and Puncuation checked); but, upon export, certain characters do not register (specifically j, q. u, z, 8, and 9) or automatically take one case or the other (B, M, W, and X are always Uppercase; while k always appears as Lowercase).
I have 4 var names "firstname, lastname, phonenumber, email" and 5 check boxes.I've also have a dynamic text box called EmailStatus. I got pretty frustrated with my code and felt it was messy,how to implement the check boxes into my email'd form.
I am using the tutorial for the simple inventory system located here. I've got it working fine within my game I'm making. However, if the player uses an item in the middle (or, in fact, anywhere other than the end) of the inventory list, it leaves a gap where it once was. How would I go about making each of the found items in the inventory move back one slot upon the player using an item?
I've uploaded a sample of my current inventory system here. To understand what I mean, pick up all four items (in any order) and then "use" one of the first three items you picked up. You should see a gap has been left in the inventory. I want this gap to be filled in by the remaining items in the inventory once said item has been used.
I've been thinking about it and I think a method that may work would be to do a hit test for all of the slots every time an item is used (to check if any slots don't have any items overlapping them), and move all of the items that are positioned to the right of it left by 60 pixels (as each slot and item is 60x60). This could work in theory but I'm not sure if it's the best method, or how to actually do it. Does anyone know how I could achieve this? Or know of any better tutorials for inventory systems that include this feature already?

I have to create a flash control which has 3 text boxes in 3 rows. see attached screenshot. & all the text boxes have dynamic content & different style.what happen now, when i have more content in the text boxes, it overlaps to the other, don't adjust accordingly(when we have more content in any text box the other text box beneath it should get down from current position).
i have this flash form that has text fields, radio buttons and check boxes in it that i made i a flash website made in AS2 . but i cant find a way to make the information in the radio buttons and check boxes to be sent to my e mail via php.
I created a funky mail form and i can't seem to send the info from the input boxes in my flash file... to the PHP script, stuff it into an email, and then send back a success or error response. I have a movie clip that is dropped onto my main scene, and I have the AS below as the frame's AS.
The concept is simple: Create dynamic empty movieclips, position them, fill them, make them clickable. The code under "//////////////////////////////////////Code below here doesn't work" isn't working. The code worked fine when attempting to do this on my main scene, but I ran across some interface issues that caused me to put them into anorther MC. I understand that I only included the code for the first button, right now I would like to get at least one working.
I have 3 different dynamic text boxes filled with an even amount of content and I can link the UIScollBar to one of the boxes just fine, but I can't seem to find a way to make the content in all three boxes scroll simultaneously with a single UIScrollBar?
I don't know if this is too much to ask but could someone give me a quick overview on how to create an email form that actually sends the information to my email? I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.
I created a Contact Form with Flash 4 on a website: [URL]. When I fill out the form in the "Contatti" TAB (contacts) and click on "invia" (submit) the email browser opens correctly (Entourage) but the text in the site form does not appear in it.
I have a file setup that will email name, email, and message when the user inputs it in the appropriate input box. Is there a way to email dynamic text within that same email. Im using php to send the email to myself. if you need more info let me know
i have about 25 slides (or MC's) and they contain dynamic text fields. I have an admin area setup where i can change the content in that dynamic text field from within my admin area. Now my problem starts rather than writting 50 functions or whatever per MC as there might be more at certain stages or less.
I'm trying to figure out the best way to write a loop which displays whatever text from the mc that is currently open in my admin area so i can edit it...(i have this working for one only) that's why i was thinking a for loop would do the trick.

I was wondering if it's possible to have a dynamic text box that can change sizes, without distorting the text displayed in it... I would also like to set it up dynamically.
I use .txt files a lot with flash to load external news and updates. Although you can use the loadVariablesNum() command to load the .txt files is there anyway to edit and save the external files in flash? e.g. say I have a text box and a submit button in flash is there some way where I can add the text boxes content to a .txt file?
Alright so lets say I have a number of movieclips or text fields or something with instance names test1, test2, test3 and so forth. Now say I want to fill these text fields with text that I have in an array and I want to do this with a loop, how do I do this? What I'm really asking is if there is a way to use a variable in an instance name if you catch my drift.
! I just did the Kirupa XML tutorial (for Flash MX) and ... I actually understand! But now I need to change a few things.. and I haven't got a clue. Right now, I know how to import text from an XML file into different text boxes. But, what I need to do, is be able to import text regardless of how many text boxes my FLA file has.
The code I'm building creates two MovieClips on the stage, in one it instantiates several text boxes and in the other some buttons.
What I can't do is access data from the text boxes (e.g. textField.text) for use in the functions called by the eventListeners attached the buttons. I had the system all working nicely before I placed the text boxes and the buttons on separate movie clips.but this structure makes it much tidier to refresh the text I'm using.The button functions are fine with variables created prior to the building of the text boxes.
Am I failing to address the text boxes correctly (because they're on another movie clip) or is there a stage / movie clip property I need to set so they can see each other ... or is this something else altogether?Could it be that the buttons are created before the text boxes?
I want to parse the data from an XML file into an array and then put each of the values in the array into a dynamic text box on the stage. The text boxes are name "number1_txt", "number2_txt" &c.I have managed to set up a loop to parse the XML into my array and also to generate the names of the text boxes dynamically but I can't get the values from the array to display in the text boxes!

I have a INPUT TEXT inside a mc called "txt mc" and DYNAMIC TEXT in the main time line.I'm trying to display what's typed in the INPUT TEXT (my_Input_Txt) in the DYNAMIC TEXT boxes (my_Dyn_Txt1, my_Dyn_Txt2, my_Dyn_Txt3).Here's the code. But it won't simply work perhaps because the INPUT TEXT is inside a MC. I need to have the INPUT TEXT INSIDE THAT MC while having the DYNAMIC TEXT boxes out in the main time line.
In a nutshell, I'm trying to create a dynamic text box in which text show up for one XML node but not for another, so I have some XML nodes that have info in them and others that don't.
