I just got the trialversion av Adobe flash CS5 and I wonder if there is a way to get the same motiontween in the timeline as in flash CS3 and earlier versions of flash?

View 4 RepliesUsing CS 5.5, I am using a single scene with buttons that all appear on the first frame along with code snippet AS also on the first frame that when clicked, takes the user to a different frame. Everything seems to work fine, except, after you go to frame 15 and click on one of the buttons that take you to one of the earlier frames, the text from frame 15 still displays on those earlier frames. The text on frame 15 is on a different layer and does not exist anywhere else until frame 15.

View 2 RepliesI was wondering if older versions of Flash (specifically Flash 8 and CS3) are still available. I'm aware that Flash CS5 is the current version, and I've used it a few times at school. However, I find that the older versions are easier to use, less prone to lag, and come with less features (it might sound odd to want less features, but I don't write Actionscript or anything - all I need are the basic paintbrush tools and animating abilites). Is there anywhere on this site that I can buy/download these versions from?
View 4 RepliesI have a swf made in Flash CS4. It works fine in firefox and older versions of flash player in IE, but it doesn't work in recent versions of IE and Safari In this case just I can hear the music.
View 1 RepliesSince recent versions of Flash have come out (perhaps the last few weeks), when loading up the website, [URL], the flash loading bars show, various SWF files in their layer appear, but then when loading completes, the web page goes blank (usually black, sometimes white). This occurs on Windoes 7 (64), Vista and XP. It occurs in IE9, IE8, and various Firefox browsers. So, I am comfortable believing that it is a recent Flash player issue.
The HTML page loads a file "back.swf" which in turn loads "menu_eo.swf" in level 10 and "intro_eo.swf" into level 5. What it looks like is that when the intro page finished loading and moves to the correct frame, the screen goes blank. My clients rarely update their Flash Player, but I asked them to do so this morning. They had the same problem in all those other browser and operating system after updating to Flash Player 10.3.1832.5.
In IE you can add the version=11.1.0 to the end of the codebase attribute of the object tag. Is there something that will force Firefox to do the same upgrade?
View 3 RepliesI am trying to make a group or rollovers that display larger versions on images when you rollover their thumbnails. The problem is since everythign is in layers the bottom layers rollovers show up undernieth the other thumbnails. My whole website design is based on this and I want to avoid writing code for each individual rollover. Is there a way I can make it so all the rollovers apear over all teh other buttons?
View 4 RepliesI have recently upgraded my Flash CS4 to Flash CS5 on my MAC, and Flash CS5 to Flash CS5.5 on my PC, these upgrades are causing the Flash Auto Formatting feature to malfunction, it somehow becomes a tool that breaks my code and causes errors while exporting, instead of simply re-arranging the lines.This is happening with all my codes and all my projects, not a specific line of code.

I've been doing Motion in Flash just per Hand doing MotionTween etc. But now I wanted finally to do a motion of a object with Actionscript. I wanted to move a object from one side to the other and let the movement end with a little bounce. Just like in the Example here: [URL]. I have already something which moves the object with slowing down at the end of the movement (onclip even on a MC):

I have inherited a website - http:[url].... and I will need to edit the first page from time to time (Flash). I have the original .fla files and I only have Flash CS4. Not sure which version of Flash the originals were built in, but opening in CS4 I can only see 35 frames - not enough to go through the whole thing. If anyone cares to have a look at the site there's a stopwatch in front of a garage door. This quickly fades in and out, then a car and other stuff appears. I can only get as far as the stopwatch. I can see the whole lot in Flash player though.what I am not doing right?

I have several mc:s that can be dropped on a target (a mc called hits). If one mc is dropped on the target and another mc already is in the target I want the earlier mc to be removed. How can i know if there already is a mc in the target if i drop another mc there. In other words, you set the variable status to false to start with, and once a first mc as been dragged/dropped in the area, set it to true. View 1 RepliesI should always be able to call the Collision class without referencing it earlier. I have all the imports I need (Events, Movieclip, Keyboard, MouseEvents). For some reason though, when I enter any code involving Collisions, specifically:
Collision.block(player, block);
I get this error:
/Users/Mike/Documents/Main.as, Line 50 1120: Access of undefined property Collision.
Is there something previous to using the Collision Class I must do? Placing it in the same folder as the rest of my work? Some sort of unseen reference?

I don't think there is much to add to the subject. It is a bug, anyhow. Let's say I am playing content from publisher which is displayed in a video. I then close the stream, and issue a play call for content B on this same stream object. If publisher B is slow enough (no new data arrives for a short while), I manage to catch a glimpse of OLD UNRELATED content from publisher A! Why is this, and is there anything I can do about it? By the way Video.clear is broken in Flash Player 10, and that's public knowledge. However, I am not sure the clear method alleviates the problem. Even if you clear the video, the stale data appears afterwards anyway.

I am working on a website and I've run into a bit of a wall. I want to make the site so that users can choose English or Spanish but I dont want it to load both versions of the site at the beginning. Can I somehow have [url].. default in Spanish lets say and then have a redirect link to [url]... Will that force me to buy two separate domains?
View 2 RepliesI'm using Vista 64 on a more then adequate laptop, I initially used Flash CS4 and it was great for the past week but a few days ago it started geting really slow, whenever I copy, change frame, select something, basicaly any change action I have to wait about 5 seconds or more for a reaction. I'm using it for simple animation, no symbols, just 3 layers. I have a deadline coming up for my final production and if I can't fix this fast I'm screwed. I've tried every solution I can find, including trying Flash CS3 and Flash 8, nothing seems to fix the slow speed

I was wondering if I am able to buy an older version for example "Flash 8" at a reduced price from adobe or another trusted retailer I know the newer version have updated the program alot but many of the new features will be unused by me and the older version would suit my needs better.
