Jun 20, 2011I am trying to use the Flash + Set the browser to a desktop agent on the Galaxy Tab.

So the issues is, when the UserAgentString param is enabled, flash player wont load as many websites like Iplayer don't recognise the browser in the WebView.
This may be a bug in the Samsung browser. Anyone have any desktop agents that the WebView will accept whilst enabling flash?

Dec 2, 2011I gone thorough the adobe flash builder video tutorials and did the same thing to create an application for android device, but when i run the application it is showing Sorry dialog box saying that, The application Test1-debug(process air.Test1.debug) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. I tried many times but it is not working. Initially i thought no Adobe-AIR in my device, but it is there. I am using Reliance 3G Tab. I don't why it is not working, if anybody know this please reply me.
One more thing, i downloaded one APK (which is designed with adobe flash or flex) file from [URL]..and installed on my android device. When i run that application only blank screen is appearing, but in video they shown, it is working. Why it is happening like this?? Is any problem with my tablet ?? or application ?? or adobe AIR not installed properly on device ?? Like this i am getting too many doubts.

At this point I'm going in and adding a check against the Build.MODEL for the MyTouch 3G but I'd like to know if there are other phones I should check for as well.

Professional :: Does Adobe Have A Tech Support Contact For Flash On Browsers?
Sep 16, 2010I am looking how to escalate to Adobe Tech Support but paying 29 bux an hour for some recruited college Grad that knows to little doesnt suit me.
Bought an HP Quad and it had Win7 home so poorly installed, configured, overloaded with junk, would not backup, when it did backup and create a repair disk they wouldnt restore. HP's preloaded Win7 build both IE8 and Firefox were crashing with both BSOD and Browsers not responding and dying. Firefox never responds to anything, Microsoft indicates is an add on problem but I think it can be a flash issue although it occurs much more on Wiin7 (ANY Version) for 32 or 64 bit. I have been screwing with this for a month screaming at Microsoft and Mozilla but its a waste of time.
Microsoft forums are polluted for Win7 browser BSOD and Browser halting then crashing posts, there answer is disable add-ons. I cant surf the net without add ons so that is a stupid reponse of finger pointing, giving appearance that Msoft, Adobe and Mozilla dont communicate. No company will take ownership and drive the issue to find the root cause and where ever that cause is make them fix it, Msfot, Adobe of Firefox. so what do ya do?
The HP PC with horrible preload of win7 finally died and killed the build but Microsoft was equally useless in helping me repair that preloaded junk even though the OS is theres. I BOUGHT real disks because HP couldnt support the mess - HP couldnt support chewing food let alone the mess they place on PC's with 90% asian parts with old drivers. Eleven escaltions starting on DAY 1 of ownership of a Pavilion. Hundreds of crash dump error reports sent to Firefox has still gone unresponsed, as they employ the 5th ammendment ,method of silence without support and Msoft remove all add on is laughable but proves HP. Firefox and MicroSoft wont assume responsibilty.
This sucks as all three gloat and boast about a HIGH levels of support and awards won for support but it is all myth, and laughably a lie but I still want it repaired. 28 years in IT - retired I feel qualififed to make the observation.
I never attempted to contact Adobe but I get redirected after seeing the warning about 39 bucks an hour to answer a phone for a freeware add-on.
Does anyone know of have a escalation path to a real person at adobe or department beause tthis site redirects from the ASK Adobe Support link meaning I cant even mail a question to then, Already a BAD sign but the driver is free, but they wrote, and millions are having issue so where is there support - Why bother writing the addon if people cant even ask a question.
So does any know if they support the flash add-on without charging? a Glitch they might want to know about is flash 10.0.0.1 shows in Win7 Event logs as version 0.0.0.1 and I have logs showing that an addon report from the DEP (Data Execution Service) saw an add-on go to a non executalbe memory region whenthe only add-on I have is flash.
Google for IE8 Browser Crash 566,500, Win7 Browser crash 1,500,000, Firefox crashing 587,000, Firefox flash crash 1,420,000, Adobe flash crash 1,820,000, are 4,615,500 google posts found for one issue and I know there are more than that failing but Im sick of the whole thing so adobe is my last gasp. Please respond if you have a fix or path to escalate to adobe.
Flash - Does Adobe TLF Support Chinese Fonts In RichEditableText Component
Apr 20, 2011I've created a "Poster Maker" in Flex. The text part of the poster is written inside a TLF-based RichEditableText component. Users can choose the font for the text using a ComboBox which lists all the device fonts on the computer.
All works well, until Chinese users try to apply a Chinese font and it doesn't work. Here's a screencast of the problem (just over 1 min long). In it you can see I can write Chinese in WordPad and apply the two different Chinese fonts I have on the PC without any problems. When I switch to the Flex app and try the same it doesn't work.I'm at a loss as to why this won't work. The change event of the font picker ComboBox looks like this:

Where selectedItem.font is the fontname of the font and is what you see as the label in the ComboBox.
Android :: What Versions Of Android And IOS Is Adobe AIR 3.0 Captive Runtime Compatible With?
Nov 16, 2011I can't find this information online or in the documentation, does anyone know what versions of Android and iOS the AIR 3.0 captive runtime is compatible with? I'm assuming there is some restriction there, but short of actually compiling a program and trying it on iPhone for example, which I don't have, how can I tell which OS versions are supported?
I know that you can compile an Adobe AIR 2.7(?) application to target say Android 2.2, but what about the captive runtime with AIR 3.0? Also I don't see anywhere to find out the iOS version restriction with AIR, as you have to pay $100 to Apple to even get the SDK which would allow me to make an iOS project in the first place.

When I publish my app on the android mobile phone (Nexus One) the 3D models that I have created don't appear on the screen.On flash CS5 it is working fine.I have used Away3DLite engine and I have imported a 3D collada object.I have also tried to publish some projects that I found online and I checked if the the 3D model appears on the screen but it doesn't show it either. how the 3D Models that I have imported in my project using Away3DLite can be visible when I publish the application on the android phone. Some extra stuff be usefull: I'm using GPU rendering.A also using a combination of the following softwares in order to create my AR application:

I've also tried Event.ADDED_TO_STAGE, but both seem to not be firing onInit at the right time... they fire too early. For example, on testing for IPhone it's firing when I still see the Default.png icon... I want it to fire when that "loading" phase is over.

Nov 30, 2011I am currently trying to run a flash game on Android and iOS using Adobe Air.While Air works nicely to run the app on Android, I experiment troubles with iOS. I am actually able to generate a .ipa package and install it to an iPhone (via iTunes). However, when I launch the application from the iPhone, nothing happens (black screen).
I then generated a debug .ipa which connects to a FDB debugger running on my computer, and the debugger shows the given fault when the app is launched:
#error 1107 the abc data is corrupt attempt to read out of bounds
Searching the internet didn't helped much. The issue is known [URL] but this does not help in my case. Someone had the same error and fixed it by removing some 3D tween animation from his flash app [URL], but I doesn't use tween.
Notes: I tried on iPhone 3G and 4S and the result is the same. The game is coded via haXe, which generates the .swf file. This main swf file uses other swf and xml files, which are present in the .ipa generated by Air.

May 30, 2009Flash has become an international standard for video and sound-media in web-pages. Allmost everything that share web-pages have Flash on their pages, Not everybody in the world use Windows and not everybody in the world use Internet Explorer. I was very glad when Adobe say they will really start to support Linux with Flash 10 since the earlier version 8 and 9 was crap on Linux. But its still not good. Flash on Linux eat up almost all available memory og suck 90% CPU. If i diable Flash the i have no problems. This happens the same on different Linux distro and on different web-browsers. Are Adobe going to start to really support Linux or do Adobe just doesnt care? Even Microsoft have startet to support Silverlight on Linux, but it took several years for Adobe to think in these ways! Its better for us to know if Adobe want to support us or not. Then its easier for us to deside if we are going to support Adobe.

But how do you create the actual menu? If you can't do it with AIR, then has anybody tried to recreate/mimic it manually already and could you please share the properties (colors, transparency, any gradients?) and transitions (sliding in/out) you've used? I've found some guidelines already, but any Flash-specific tips/properties (like which easing to use for sliding transitions?).
Android :: Flash - WebView Doesn't Play Swf File?
May 21, 2011I am developing an application for android 3.0 tablet, that's supposed to play swf files inside a WebView.First I tried to open the swf file from the device, than through the internet, with no luck.The WebView shows up, but inside the WebView all I can see is a black screen (with a 3-4 px wide white line on the right).If I load the same URL to the device browser, the flash file plays well.I think Im missing something on the WebView setup, but after a few hours of searching and googling I still dont know what.The Java code:
