Professional :: PNG Export Critical Failure

When Trying to export a flash graphic out of Flash CS3 to.PNG format, Flash will either export a severely distorted image or it will just crash and shutdown. Admittedly, the graphic is pushing the max limits of allowable export (7900x7900px @ 300dpi). I've never had problems exporting to .PNG before, as I use that feature every day, but rarely at this scale. Could the size be affecting it's ability to export correctly? If not, what could be the issue?

I recently purchased and installed Flash CS4 Professional on my home computer (HP Windows XP Media Center Edition). AS2 works as a Publish Setting, but AS3 does not function in any way.After my initial installation, I ran a CS4 update of all programs, including updating Flash CS4 to 10.0.2.I have uninstalled the software and re-installed it in the "simplified" mode. Updated to v10.0.2; no change in AS3 failure. I have run the Adobe Support Analyzer, and an error has been found in the installation log file (for both the initial installation and the re-installation). But use of the Package for Support button (repeatedly, over 4 days) fails to upload and fails to produce a "key", yielding this message: "The storage server is unavailable! The errors encountered are listed in the Compiler Errors Panel." The Compiler Errors Panel is always blank. When I am working in AS2, an intentional script error immediately is identified correctly in the Compiler Errors Panel.With any script in the Actions-Frame panel, clicking Auto Format produces this message: "This script contains syntax errors, so it cannot be Auto Formatted. Fix the errors and try again."Any .swf produced with CTRL+Enter sits in its initial state and does not run or otherwise have interactivity..
fla files I have found the failure with include: AS3 examples from the Adobe Flash website; AS3 files I produced with Flash CS3 Professional on a previous employer's computer; a simple "stop();" in the Actions-Frame panel for the first frame of a movie clip.I have also made sure that my computer has updated versions of the Flash 10, 9, and 8 players. A .swf file (AS3, Player 9) I made with my employer's Flash CS3 software runs fine on my computer. But producing a new .swf from the same .fla file on my home computer with CS4 yields an inactive file.Adobe technical support is unable to deal with ActionScript problems and referred me to the community of Adobe expert users.

i made an scrolling image sequence,that is controlled with moving left-right mouse or finger there are 120 images and its wheight is 36 Mb.it runs great on desctop as SWF .BUT when published to .ipa and lounched on iPad 2 - black sreen for aboute 5 sec. and throws back to "home".what does that mean?

Im trying to open a .fla i got from the internet. Its from 2004 and in flashMX format.
On opening it flash gives an "unexpected file format" error.
Is this a corrupt file or isnt it possible to use this? If the latter, is there a way to convert a .fla from MX format to cs5.5?

Gb HDD (dual core). I've already installed with succeed Photoshop CS5 and Illustrator CS5 and InDesign CS5 with success on my computer with DVD versions on this Windows 7 boot. I precise I already succeed to install Flash CS5 on the same computer but with Windows Vista installed (dual boot), so the installer seems to be OK. But when I'm on my Windows 7 boot, when I try to install Flash CS5 Pro downloadable version, I get some errors as soon as the installer try to copy some files on my HD and the installer stops immediatly with those error messages:

I've notice all the trouble people are having trying to get updates of FP to cooperate with Vista and IE, but is anyone out
there having trouble getting the installer to work on a mac? After running the uninstaller, which says it was successful, I cannot get ANY version of FP to re-install on my mac. Both Firefox and Safari are showing the plug-in as missing and when prompted to download and install, the installation fails again and again.
The only way I have been able to successfully get flash player working again is to re-install my version of Creative Suite,
which automatically installs FP when you install the Flash application.

I have a flash project with about 3500 items - mostly containing movie clips with linkage. The SWF acts as an external library. I publish the SWF file under AS3 + FP9 (also tried FP10) and when I tried to access the items using

but all returned null! (after looping through them) - I traced the item's name in the output and they all matched exactly correctly.After a while, I managed to narrow down the problem which leads me to think it's a newly introduced bug in Flash CS5.
Test1: Deleted 500 items from the project, and it worked - all items returned non-null when using the code above. Also tried deleting a different range of 500 items instead of the first 500 - which also worked. This test confirms that all items were not courrpted.
Conclusion: Flash CS5 is unable to successfully publish a project containing over 3500 items in the library. The resulting SWF file size was about 500KB - which indicates it contains something, but still was unable to access the items.
Test2: From CS5, saved the project as CS4 format and opened it with Flash CS4. Published it (via CS4), and it worked. All items returned non-null. Great. However, when I added 500 more items (total of 4000) - it failed both on CS4 and CS5.The publish only takes about 10 seconds. Not very long..

I made a banner for my company that I'd like to turn into a .gif file for our marketing strategies portion of our site. I am new to flash and can't seem to find the right export/publish settings to get the cleanest possible .gif file.
Would anyone mind looking at my attached .fla file to see where I might be going wrong. All of the images I imported into flash were edited in photoshop CS4 and saved as .png files. Is this the preferred method? When I export my animation it slows down and becomes all grainy. I am trying to create a .gif similar to the one I have also attached that was created in flash by a professional design firm. What would this guy (the guy that created the attached .gif file) have done differently?

When I go to export a flash file (command > enter) the swf either decides to play every 5th frame which I made 5 keyframes each at 20% more alpha each playing only the one at 100% alpha. It also brings in the line spacing so it is all mucked up. Everything is fine when I press enter to do timeline preview but not when I export swf does anyone have any idea why?

I've been having similar issues as many others regarding saving xfl and fla files out of flash cs5. I have managed to get through them with various methods of recreating files, make new flas, and coping the library over, and the like.. (All of which is crap by the way, saving issues should NEVER be an issue)The answer from support seems to be "You have a corrupt asset". If this is the case then flash corrupted it. </RANT>The issue I'm having now however, is that I can no longer get it to export a new swc. I'm using the swc with a Pure AS3 project.I can save the xfl file just fine.I can compile it and it doesn't complain (though there isn't much to compile other than images and movieclips containing those images)I can re-open the file just fine.
I am not saving across a network, but directly to a local disk.As far as I know, I don't have odd characters in the clip names, but if there are its by mistake, and there is virtually no way of discovering which one it is.I am on the latest version of Flash Pro CS5 (11.0.2.489)So, to Support:e at adobe please look at this file and tell me what is not allowing it to build the swc? Or better yet, tell me how to find out?I'm sure its breaking in the middle and giving up but not ever throwing an error.Is there a way to find out what asset is breaking it?

I have a large FLA file and is fails to export. 108 meg.I have attempted an export on Win and Mac.No errors. It just stops and removes the 2 kb swf file it opens at start of export.I set jvm,ini to 512 and then to1024.I embedded the fonts.

I'm trying to export a .mov from a .fla file. Strange thing is happening. When I export the .mov, there are small sections of the vector animation that are missing or not showing up like missing puzzle pieces. I can't find anything about this. I've tried many different settings and they yield similar results.

Pardon my most likely newbie mistakes.I imported a FLV file I created in After Effects into Flash CS4, using the wizard. I choose the correct file path and no skin.Then using the FLV playback components I made a custom play/pause button.When I test the movie it works beautifully.Not when I export (I have tried quicktime movie and SWF). I think I only get one frame (the first frame is empty, so not 100% sure).I have never worked with Flash, is there something I need to do in the timeline, like setting an in and out point or something?

I'm trying to make a new site (Green DNA) and wanted to use a combination of flash and html At the top, I wanted to have the navigation bar as flash, and below the html content (like for example a blog).I wanted to create some cool animations using After Effects, and import them into flash. I was planing to use around 250-300 frames of animation total (800x270 pixels) and keep it the whole .SWF file below 2MB
My first attempt was to export the video from AE as a .SWF but the result was a 10 MB file Then, I tried to export as a PNG or jpg animation sequence... I was able to reduced each frame to about 27.0kb but the result was around 6mb file Then, I tried saving the animation as a .mp4 file (around 2mb) but I couldn't figure out how to imported on flash (I was using adobe bridge, but It kept changing my 800x270 pixel video into something that I didn't approved ( I tried multiple settings)

I have a Flash movie that uses Actionscript 2.0 to trigger animations. The swf and flv files are separate though - the flv is called by the swf. There are cues in the flv that fire Actionscript events. How can I get the whole thing to export? I can convert the flv to an avi but I need the animations.

I created a short animation using a series of photos stop-motion style, only about 18 frames long (as part of a larger project) Whenever i try to export it into SWF (Either CTRL+ENTER or the FILE>EXPORT method) the time it takes is super-fast, but no file is created. I am using cs5 flash to try to export a .fla file for a client to quicktime format. The end result being a DVD playable in dvd players. I have production premium and fcs, but the only option I have found is to open the file in flash professional cs5 and there is an export to qt option.
I export it, and it comes up with "Recording Flash Content" and displays a status bar. The status bar fills completely up and does not finish. Is there an issue I am not aware of?
I will state that there were missing fonts, but I just assume they were replaced and could it be an issue with that?
Edit: It is a 3 min clip so i just set it to end at 4 mins, and the status bar completed, but now the Compressing status bar does not even start to move or fill, and the application stops responding.

I'm working on a 3 minute animation that is 53.7 MB right now. I periodically export the file to swf to see how it looks as I'm working on it.
It got the point where it was taking around 30 seconds to export which I'm used to when my animations get longer. However, now it constantly gets stuck at 90% and I get the rainbow wheel cursor. I waited 30 minutes thinking it needed to catch up with itself and nothing changed. I always end up having to force quit out of Flash because it's not responding.
I've tried numerous things to try and get it to export such as quitting and restarting Flash, doing a complete shutdown and starting Flash, and copy pasting all my frames into a new Flash file and saving. No matter what it always stops at 90% and no longer responds.

When I export images from any fla,they are very slightly cropped on the right side and bottom. I don't want them to be cropped. Here's how I'm exporting: I paste the image in a blank fla, select Export, Export image, and choose the filename and location.

I am building an interactive website as my final project for my Webmastering class and need to know one thing. First I'll give you my setup. I have four Movie Clips in four seperate layers on my main timeline. I want to export one of those Movie Clips as an avi file. When I use export>movie, it exports the main timeline. I figured it would do that. So then I opened up the Movie Clip that I want to export and tried the same thing again. No luck. how to remedy this situation. I have five days to do this and have spent about four days of my life working on this if you add up all the hours that I have spent working on this.

I was testing the vector files that I export of the art I made, and upon re-importation to flash the colours have changed significantly. Then, when the game is running in a browser, it looks different again. It even looks different between different browsers.

I'm trying to export a Flash movie to Quicktime. The movie is not very large - the SWF file is about 1700 KB. When the export program runs it shows a progress bar recording Flash content. The green bar goes to the end and then gets hung up and never finishes (at least after a half hour wait). I have installed the latest Quicktime codec with Quicktime 7 player.

I am unable to export any swiff files from CS5 Flash Pro that contain TLF text. If I apply one text box with TLF text on the stage, with no script on the timeline and nothing in the library, I receive the following compiler error:
MainTimeline, Line 39 1137: Incorrect number of arguments. Expected no more than 1.
MainTimeline, Line 42 1137: Incorrect number of arguments. Expected no more than 7.
I do a lot of heavy actionscript coding, and rarely have anything on the timeline or stage in Flash, but this is a pretty big error for a new feature like the TLF engine. I think there is an issue with files missing, or flash not having the correct path to the classes used by the TLF text, but that is only a guess.
All I can get out of the Adobe documentation is that there is a SWC file that is supposed to be remotely accessed, downloaded, or embedded into the SWF on export.
I have been completely unable to use this feature of Flash since I purchased CS5. Additionally, when I tried to contact Adobe directly by phone, they referred me to these forums.

export an animation sequence from flash to a video format. Looks like flash has Quicktime and Avi as options. However they both produce poor and jerky results. My animation is 750 by 545 pixels and running at 20fps - I have tried upping it to 25fps to see if it is a frame rate mismatch issue but similar rsults. For the record the anim plays perfectly as a swf. I have tried a third party swf to flv converter as flv is the format I desire but still jerky irregular playback
How can I get around this?

I want to keep my text editable in Flash (Classic text) and convert to outlines on publishing to swf so I don't have to worry about font embedding. Is it possible to do this? ie FLA keeps editable text but swf gets published out with outline text.
