I have a Flash GUI loading in external SWFs, published as a projector file and the functionality seems to be working perfectly...however, for some inexplicable reason, when I press Ctrl + F to view in fullscreen mode...the stage snaps to the top left corner.[code]just to see what would happen...the result...well, the above code worked...for about a half-a-second...then the main movie (i.e. the stage) snapped right back to the top left corner.
Is there a way to center a flash projector on a screen when it is launched? I noticed when I launch a flash projector file, it gets positioned on the screen randomly. I am using ActionScript 3.
on frame 1, but they don't seem to work. I'm going to be putting this project on a CD and the client wants to make sure it will open centered on the user's screen, which has not been the case so far. It seems to open at different spots on different computers. They also want the title bar changed from "Adobe Flash Player 10" to their own title.
How Can I have a Flash AS3 Projector load protected images/mp3s/videos from a password protected server? I have a bunch of content in a password protected directory that I do not want people to access unless it is in my flash Projector.
I have a project in which the client would like the contents to be centered on his browser but the background to fill the whole window... this would be simple enough if the background was a solid color... the problem I am facing is that the background has a design to it (see attached). I found a good tutorial on: [URL] ...that is the basics of what I am trying to achieve, but not quite there. The RED bars on my attachment would be the center of the content...
I'm using a ScrollPane to horizontally scroll a movie clip that's much larger than the stage. I've got it working just fine, but I need the scroll bar to appear in the middle of the content. That is to say that I need the scroll bar to appear in the center of the stage with the movieclip behind it extending above and below the scroll bar. Is there a way to do this with ScrollPane or another technique that will accomplish this?
I've tried customizing the component by changeing the position of the ScrollTumb skin by going into its movie clip. This positions the scrolling stuff where I want it, but the movieclip appears on top of it.
I have loaded the images inside the movie clip, however, only one loader content aligns to the center,particularly the last one loaded in loop.How to align all loader content in a loop?other options with this kind of scenario.
am not much a coder but am learning i just wana know how i can center my flash site/content/background on browser resize
i found a tutorials about that exactly the only problem was am using AS2 and the tutorials is for damn AS3 so please if you know one for AS2 then direct me or if you got som code u wana share dont hesitate 2 post it 4 me
Ever since I`ve changed to flash cs4, every windows projector publish I make takes a really long time to open and play an animation.I`ts just very slow. When I created stuff on flash cs3, I had no problems running published projects.
Can anyone help me here? It`s just that I searched for a lot of forum questions just like mine on other web sites and none could . Since your the developers os this product I would like to see what you`ve got to say about this.
I seem to be having a problem with the TransitionManager effects in Flash Projector flash.[code]Where mediaViewer (a movieclip on the timeline) is a TileList component that I extended and...when visible = true Will do a Zoom in transition. The problem is that while the above code works fine in a SWF file it doesn't in the EXE file. The component is not shown nor is there any transition taking place. If I remove the Transition effect it works as expected.
I just downloaded the Release and Debugger updates for the Mac CS5 Flash. However, the zip files only contained the Mac projector. Wouldn't I need to update the Windows EXE projectors as well? When I publish dual platform projectors I would like both to be up to date. How do I update the Windows EXE projectors on my CS5 Flash installation on my Mac?
I would like to know if it is possible to view a PDF document WITHIN an offline Flash Projector.exe? Just like when you have the ability to access the Acrobat toolbar within a web browser.
I have 45 PDF booklets that I can already open from a Flash Projector into Acrobat Reader for printing, but I would prefer not to leave the Flash Projector at all.
I have a Mac (intel) CS3 flash fla that I am exporting asprojector. The exported Mac projector and windows exe file will notopen full screen w/o the flashplayer's top toolbar. I have testedthe projector file on Mac 10.4 and Windows XP and all show theflashplayer's top tool bar. The only way to go full screen is tomanually select view/full screen in the player toolbar. I havetried the fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); toggle (true/false/true)workaround w/o any success. Any other workarounds I can try
I create a projector for Linux by executing a swf file in flash player and chosing "create projector" from the file menu. The initial swf loads external resources (using MovieClip Loader.loadClip for example). In the swf this works fine but in the projector this fails. The projector seems to always execute in the users home directory no matter where it is in the file system, thus to find the external resources the path should be relevant to the users home directory. The problem i now have is that my application will be packaged and distributed on a cd rom. At development time i have no idea of the path to where the cd-rom will be mounted in the end users machine.For what motive does the projector execute in the users home directory and not in its real location?
I'm trying to create a Macintosh full screen projector. Easy, I know.WHY the hell doesn't it go full screen... I keep getting the title bar at the top of the projector. Windows projector works perfectly.Some software called Zinc will provide me with the solution to this problem but it's expensive and the free version adds a watermark to the file, which is not good.
I'm using the standard... fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); I found a thread which suggests a workaround of adding Frame 1 - fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
I have an instance of an FLV video in a movie clip on the main timeline. Withing the movie clip, I have it masked to fit into a custom shape on-screen, and I am publishing this as a Macintosh projector app. When I view the projector in its native size (1024x768), the masking works fine. But when I switch to full-screen mode (Command-F), the masking disappears, and all I see is the video. It also kind of screws up the navigation from this mc to the next, i.e., the cuepoint stops working.
I've been developing a fairly simple presentation in CS4, AS3, OSX, which runs as a standalone projector.Everything was working for a while, but now for no apparent reason, any file I publish as a projector starts the Flash Player app, but the projector does not appear or play.Older versions that I had already published will play correctly, but if I re-publish them they do not work any more.
I'm using the syntax below for a Flash (CS3 and AS2) presentation so the client can play/stop and rewind/forward the movie with the keyboard.It works perfectly when I go "Control >>> Test Movie" but when I publish the movie as a Projector file nothing happens when I hit the relevant keys.Also, the same thing happens if I open the SWF outside of Flash from it's local folder.
import mx.utils.Delegate; var nCheckPoint:Number = 0; var aCheckPoints:Array = new Array();[code]..........
im using Flash CS4 slide presentation to make a education CD. In the end of the slides i want to open a pdf file.How can i do it? Is it a east way to do it? I publish the project as a projector file. I tested to use GetURL but the file wont open. I have the pdf-filein the same folder as the projector exe-file.
I have a M4V video file embedded in a Flash movie, and I need to play the Flash movie at full screen using the Macintosh Projector format. When the Flash file is done in Actionscript 2, everything appears as it should, but if the Flash file is done in Actionscript 3 (which this particular needs, since it uses armatures), then the video fills up the whole screen and hides everything else. I figured out how to prevent the video from scaling to fit the screen (set the scaleMode parameter to "noScale"), but it still shows the video in the center of a black screen. How can I get it to stop messing with the file and just play the @#$! video where I put it?
Since full screen mode disables most keyboard input, it's a non-starter for me.
Is there a way to automatically maximize the Flash Player window when using a projector? In other words, when someone double-clicks the projector EXE, I want it to start in a Maximized window.
I am running flash cs5.5 and attempting to use the JSON calls that are in flash player 11. I patched my install so that I could select flash 11 as the target. When I run in a browser, everything is fine. When I publish to a macos projector, the JSON pieces do not work.
Is there any way to make it work?
Here is my code:
private static function on_complete(e : Event):void { trace ("Http on_complete!");
[Code]....
This works as expected in the browser, however in the projector it never gets beyond the ob=JSON.parse call. I can tell where it gets by uncommenting the amount=xxx lines
I cant tell what it is doing because as far as I know the debugger in cs5.5 is flash 10, so it doesnt work for debugging. I am wondering if whatever it uses to cram into a projector file is running flash player 10 as well?
How can I use an older version of Flash player when publishing to Man/Win Projector? The Properties says 'Player: 7' but when I publish to Mac/Win (.app/.exe) the file says it uses Flash player 9 (9.0.115.0)! One of our clients are having issues with a project published this way - on autoplay they get a white screen instead of the program screen and after they update Flash on their computer, the application (Projector) works. What's the issue?
I have a swf that plays in the browser and I would like to give the user an option to open the swf into a stand alone player. The best way I see to do this is to export the swf as a projector file but I can't figure out how to pass any params (flashvars) to the exe file.
I have Mac Pro OSX 10.58 - CS 4 Creative Suite.I have been using Flash to produce projector files totally fine for months. However, today when I publish a Mac projector file I have come across a problem. Flash publishes a .app projector file OK, but, when I open it, it appears in the dock as if it were open but I don't see anything.
Any projector files I produced prior to today still play fine. But any projector files I have created today have the previously mentioned problem. I have tried creating a totally new FLA and publishing from that incase it was the FLA I was publishing from was to blame - same problem.
I have reinstalled Flash, but the error persists.Today I also installed new software. I installed the Developer tools because I wanted to use PackageMaker. I also installed Xray. I have removed Xray incase that was at fault - but the problem still persists.
I could succesfully open a external pdf with the following command in Flash cs3 on a Mac: fscommand("exec", "test.app");test.app (inside an fscommand folder) is an apple script that opens the pdf inside the fscommand folder, to make it work I needed to copy the fscommand folder into the MacOs Folder of the Mac Projector File. The same steps don't seem to work with Flash cs5. I can't downgrade my cs5 project to cs3.Is this problem a bug in Flash cs5?
I've built a presentation that requires the need to open pdf files in Acrobat Reader... as I have been building this on a Mac I simply used the geturl code which has been working a treat... today when I tested it on a PC it opened the file in a browser window!
I'm not really a coder and have to rely on finding bits online that I can tweak... after many hours I have fixed the pdf opening problem by using the fscommand method, but unfortunately when the pdf file is closed, my presentation (that was running fullscreen) has minimised itself to a window 100% to the original stage size!
I am producing a fullscreen projector (.exe) file and have some large videos that cause the background to go black when they come on the stage. When I test the movie (not in fullscreen), it works just fine.
