Professional :: Tween On Image Change

I've found a really basic gallery and I'm modifying it. It did show a bar with thumbs on top of the stage with no full image shown at first. Clicking on a thumb, with a tween, the thumbs' bar disappear and the full image appears, clicking on the full image the gallery come back to the original situation. I've modified the gallery and now it shows the bar on the bottom, a full image is shown as the gallery appears and when I click on a thumb the bar stays at its place, in addition the shown image disappears to leave the place to the new one.
I want to add a tween when the full image changes, a fade out on the old image and a fade in on the new one, but I can't understand where and how to modify the code. I post a link to the gallery files, the one to modify is createThumb.as [URL]

Am trying to use the Tween class to scale and move a movieclip. Now the movieclip is within the loader, so I need the motion to be controlled by the percentage loaded. Now the code to move the movieclip to its final position is:
var xscaletween:Tween = new Tween(mstone, "_xscale", Regular.easeOut, mstone._xscale, 220, 6, true);
But this is the final location, I want to be able to change the properties of xscaletween, yscaletween, xmovetween and ymovetween as per percentage loaded.As in, within this final boundary limit of the tween, I want, for example, xscaletween, to scale only till 140 till percentage hits 50. Is this possible?? If not is there a workaround?Or do I have to use new tweens within each percentage limit?

The site opens with a SWF file. This is my first attempt at Flash. He did not have the fla file so i used a decompiler to generate it and we were able to make most of the changes he wanted. We have one thing left and I am scratching my head trying to figure this out. There are 7 buttons, and when you place your mouse over each button an image appears in the top right of the screen. This image is different depending on what button you are over. He wants to update and change a couple of these images.

I have an image slide show that was created in Flash CS3 with a fade transition. I want to slow down the slide show so the pictures display longer. Is there an easier way to change the speed of the slide show other than dragging each frame on the time line?I dragged each frame 20 frames longer and it's not working for me. It seems as though some images display much longer than other.

I'm dragging a movieclip that has the visibility set to false. I can trace the x and y of the clip and it is definitely where the mouse is. However, when I toggle the visibility to true, occassionaly it flashes on at the last location it was visible, just for a brief instance, before teleporting to the mouse location.

Since I was unable to do this in Photoshop, I was wondering if there was a way in Flash to simply change the color of an image to a speciifc color code. The image is more or less a simple line with rounded corners. It is only composed of 1 color.

I have an aplication which brings up an image for editing in flash. Here is what happens. I click on A tool and insert 2 text boxes on the image and type something. Then I click on the Arrow tool and double click on text in Text box 1 to select it. Then try to change the font color from the font menu icon. It does not work. But after selecting the text in text box 1 and trying to change the font size from the menu seems to work fine.

I'm trying to get a transparent image to fly in from the side. So, I *thought* I was doing the correct thing by moving the "symbol" off of the visible portion of the stage, and creating a motion tween to move it onto the stage. The motion works, but the quality of the image in general (and the text in specific) looks pixelated.Thus, I did a little bit of snooping, and everyone said that you should start with a bitmap. So I saved the image from Photoshop into .bmp format, and was able to set the properties to "allow smoothing" and with lossless compression. So far, so good. Now, as I expected, the transparency is no longer there...
So here's the question: how can I make this image retain its quality, still have transparency, and a motion tween?It seems like this is some set of characteristics that don't play well together, even though I see this type of thing online ALL the time.I tried "Trace Bitmap" to convert to a raster image, and tried to follow some suggestions online, but when I do "Trace Bitmap", it ends up looking like it has a bunch of grayish dots on the image... definitely NOT what I was expecting.

I will have three seperate pages for the motion tween, mask effect and shape tween... would you make the seperately, in a different scene, as a symbol or on the same scene with the website.

I am facing a problem in one of my animation with flash CS4 - I have nested a Shape Tween in a Motion tween to get more control over the easers and effects, unfortunately I am not able to view on the timeline of my Motion Tween the action of the Shape tween nested inside.
It only show the first shape of the Shape Tween during the entire Motion Tween and that is really a problem for me because I need to see the final frame result of that Shape tween to be able to position it in a precise way on my scene according to other instances.

I'm making a "master movie" for an assignment and I'm stuck right now. What I've got is an Intro page that will serve at the Parent.swf to load 4 other child swf's upon a mouse click. The problem is I have a theater stage where I tweened an animation to make it appear the curtain on the stage is going up but once it reaches it maximum height....the tween abruptly stops. I want it to HOLD there until a user clicks a button.

i have my nave bar as my main swf then i load each page as an external swf in a mc container. each button should be marked when you navigate to the respective page. how would i load a current pages icon over the generic one when i navigate to that page then unload it when i navigate to another page?

I am currently using CS4 but taking a class that is using CS3. The problem is I am finding the "motion tween" is not creating a tween. What is the difference between the motion tween in CS3 and CS4.I can get the tween to work if I use the "classic tween" but the instructor is saying I must use the motion tween.

I have an object in a Movieclip that I currently have a tween set up for. I set it up on the stage, not with actionscript.I need to dynamically change the duration of this tween. I have not found reference to a way to do this.I don't mind dynamically creating the tween if I need to, setting the initial duration in code, but I still have not found any reference to changing the duration dynamically.

I am am not a developer but have bought a template which I am modifying to suit my needs. I have made most of the modifications but and stuck on how to change the animation for the image gallery. When I move from one picture to the next the animation effect is something like a bubble burst. This is too flamboyant for me. I am making a new flash website and i stack on the as3 part.My site have a menu like all the site do.Now on the site load there is a background picture.When you press one of the menu buttons, the background image will change to this button specified image.But all that in an animation of fade in and out.My problem that i have everything but i cant know which image was before it changes to the buttons specified one. I've created a symbol and motion tween and given an instance name to the tween (lets call it mt1) on Layer 1, frame 1 - frame 10. On layer 2, frame 1 I create a button and stop and add the MouseEvent hander and function. Can I, from the function on layer 2, alter the end point of the motion tween on layer 1 via the function? I've tried, but unsuccessfully. Can't seem to access the tween properly. Or I am way off base. Here's the Actionscript frame 1, layer 2:
