Is it possible to change the swf file to an image file? I didn't create the site and don't have the Flash file to edit. [URL]

I've found a really basic gallery and I'm modifying it. It did show a bar with thumbs on top of the stage with no full image shown at first. Clicking on a thumb, with a tween, the thumbs' bar disappear and the full image appears, clicking on the full image the gallery come back to the original situation. I've modified the gallery and now it shows the bar on the bottom, a full image is shown as the gallery appears and when I click on a thumb the bar stays at its place, in addition the shown image disappears to leave the place to the new one.
I want to add a tween when the full image changes, a fade out on the old image and a fade in on the new one, but I can't understand where and how to modify the code. I post a link to the gallery files, the one to modify is createThumb.as [URL]

The site opens with a SWF file. This is my first attempt at Flash. He did not have the fla file so i used a decompiler to generate it and we were able to make most of the changes he wanted. We have one thing left and I am scratching my head trying to figure this out. There are 7 buttons, and when you place your mouse over each button an image appears in the top right of the screen. This image is different depending on what button you are over. He wants to update and change a couple of these images.

I have an image slide show that was created in Flash CS3 with a fade transition. I want to slow down the slide show so the pictures display longer. Is there an easier way to change the speed of the slide show other than dragging each frame on the time line?I dragged each frame 20 frames longer and it's not working for me. It seems as though some images display much longer than other.

I'm dragging a movieclip that has the visibility set to false. I can trace the x and y of the clip and it is definitely where the mouse is. However, when I toggle the visibility to true, occassionaly it flashes on at the last location it was visible, just for a brief instance, before teleporting to the mouse location.

Since I was unable to do this in Photoshop, I was wondering if there was a way in Flash to simply change the color of an image to a speciifc color code. The image is more or less a simple line with rounded corners. It is only composed of 1 color.

I have an aplication which brings up an image for editing in flash. Here is what happens. I click on A tool and insert 2 text boxes on the image and type something. Then I click on the Arrow tool and double click on text in Text box 1 to select it. Then try to change the font color from the font menu icon. It does not work. But after selecting the text in text box 1 and trying to change the font size from the menu seems to work fine.

I have successfully loaded an external swf file into my own one. now what i want is to change the size of the loaded file.
the loaded file is an image and its height:500 and width:500 but what i want is to resize it to 200x200
How can i do that.

How would I go and change the origins of the stage in my Flash file? right now its at x:30, y:35 for some weird reason. and when this file is done playing I have the as3 code tell it to load the next .swf file but the next .swf is not in the 0,0 location but rather the 30,35 location

I use DW CS4. I've gone to the Library panel, as suggested (below) but cannot find the "a Text 1" text as suggested.

For replace text - open library panel and click clips "a TEXT 1", "a TEXT 2" and "a TEXT 3" and change it.
All elements maded in vector, scalable to any size. No raster.

I created a .swf file for a header of a website using a logo that tweens in. I tested the .swf with the transparent properties and it works but the logo I imported from photoshop has a white box around it, how can I remove this? Do I need to import a transparent .png file instead of a .jpg?

I'm new to Flash (CS5.5) but have self taught quite a bit. I created a simple "slide show" model of images which fade in and out to other images—it's a holiday greeting card. How do I save/export/publish (not sure of the correct terminology) this .fla file so that my end result is an image that I can insert (as an image) into an email (outlook) and send. The recipient should be able to click on the image and activate the movie.

i saw a flash movie clip used on a site and I like the way it was designed. The whole length of the file file is stable and then only the image outline slides into view on the screen. i have tried to do that but my whole image slides in just like normal motion tween.

I need to first express that I'm a fully self-taught Flash designer. No one has ever sat down and tried to explain to me the DOs and DONTs about Flash. I have followed tutorials, books, and anything else I can get my hands on, but never a person. People of Flash seem to be very hard to find, in my personal experience.I am the most comfortable with Photoshop, knowing very little about Illustrator or Fireworks.That said, I have been asked to create a 45KB (yikes!) max file, rotating 3 .jpg images I created from other .jpgs given to me. The images are usually large, so I am given room to compress them for a 300px x 250 px stage.
However, these images are always my biggest culprit for my huge file size. I'll import them in, making them into Graphic Symbols, but nothing seems to prevent the enourmous file size.When given the raw images, I would throw them into Photoshop, make the files the correct 300x250 size. Then I have tried: saving the image at the best resolution in .jpg and .png form, and then I tried saving the images as low-as-I-could-stomach quality. I hardly see a difference with file size when they are imported into Flash and used.I was told to use Fireworks's Optimize function, which I did, but it made my .swf even biggerWhen I have my Flash piece all set up/animted as I want, but I need to replace the bitmap(.jpg/.png) photos, I will:right click on the bitmap to get properties, "upload" the new image to be used, adjust the Quality, having "Allow smoothing" unclicked.
I understand I should make as much of the graphics in Flash as I can, instead of Import, but I am primarily given photographs to use.Seeing what my previous peers have done is mind-puzzling, but they are not around, so I cannot ask them for their advice. i have my nave bar as my main swf then i load each page as an external swf in a mc container. each button should be marked when you navigate to the respective page. how would i load a current pages icon over the generic one when i navigate to that page then unload it when i navigate to another page?

I am am not a developer but have bought a template which I am modifying to suit my needs. I have made most of the modifications but and stuck on how to change the animation for the image gallery. When I move from one picture to the next the animation effect is something like a bubble burst. This is too flamboyant for me. I am making a new flash website and i stack on the as3 part.My site have a menu like all the site do.Now on the site load there is a background picture.When you press one of the menu buttons, the background image will change to this button specified image.But all that in an animation of fade in and out.My problem that i have everything but i cant know which image was before it changes to the buttons specified one.
