I have Macromedia Flash MX 2004. I need to change the images in an fla file for inclusion in a new Web site. I have inherited an fla file and am just learning the in-and-outs of using Flash. I have been trying to figure out/learn what to do. But I am now under a deadline.
How to I replace the old images with new ones?
When I put dreamweaver file in a zip file for viewing on another computer, images and format are not the same when viewing in dreaweaver.

We are undergoing a site redesign and are interested in giving our Flash characters less real estate, so I am trying to determine if it is possible to make the characters smaller.I thought I might be able to do that with the height/width attribute of the object tag in the html, but I guess that would have been too easy.I know zip about Flash but do have CS3 at my disposal.Is there a way within the .fla file to make the animation smaller?

1, Is it possible to change the dimensions of a .swf/.fla file once completed?
View 1 RepliesHere's my problem. I currently have a Flash banner on my website that displays artwork I have made. However, it currently just shows jpegs that are embedded into the Flash file. Is there a way that I can set up a directory in my domain and just have the flash file pull these external images, at random to display? Also, it should be noted that it shouldn't pull the same image twice. That would look silly I would make the files all the correct resolution and size, so resizing is not an issue. I know you can do this sort of thing with javascript, but I want more control and a more stylish appearance.

i created a flash website but the problem is the size is to large to fit on screen i have imbeded buttons, Movies clips, masks, and about 7 different scenes in this 13 mb movie what do i do to make the physicle size of the objects on screen so i can view it on my sceen?
View 1 RepliesI have a big problem - I decided to make a website using flash as I am good with photoshop and thought it would be fairly easy to construct in flash using tutorials. All went well except now the website is published, weird things happen. The homepage works fine but when you click on "portfolio" some of the buttons don't appear and when you try the buttons, some images don't appear. Occasionally some of the buttons take you to the wrong place also. When I test the movie in flash, everything works fine so I can't work it out. I am a complete novice so advice will have to be spelt out in black and white.

View 4 RepliesI'm building a flash movie for something at work and im loading in some images using an XML file but when i use a preloader it only preloads the XML file (as in just the text inside) and not the images.
This causes the movie to start playing without having the images loaded.Does anyone have any ideas about how i could get it to preload the contents/images being called in the XML file so it doesn't run as soon as the XML file is loaded.
Why doesn't this code go through the XML file in order? It should go through the XML file and display the images/comments as they are ordered in the XML file.

View 9 RepliesI was wondering if there is way to replace the checkNumber() function with a more flexible code. That will allow the user to change the amount of images in a folder.
Lets say i have 7 images in a folder (gal1) that im showing in a simple gallery.
What i wish to do is to be able to add or delete or change the number in the images in the folder without having to change the acctual code.
if(imageNumber==7) is rather hard, how can i make this more flexible to allow for the changes?
