I have problem creating AIR ap in Flash CS5.5 window for certificate always reports same error: "Error creating self-signed certificate".I filled all data in it and the problem is probably in "Save as" feature for which I don't know how it works.i put some name there and doesn't accept it.. so what to do then ?
View 1 RepliesLooking for some ideas, strategies, tools, etc. on creating reports from Flash Builder / Flex 4. I have a flex application that allows create/read/update/delete of client information from a back-end database. It uses web services (zend amf -> mongo db or mysql). I already have the client data IN flex via the web service as a collection for example. A user requests the ability to generate a report - to display a list of clients under a certain age in a tabular excel style grid (datagrid most likely).
It will be sorted and subtotaled by a demographic such as "insurance type". Ideally the user would like to be able to select the insurance types allowed on the report (or in the datagrid/pivot table). I know one option would be to present the user with a series of check boxes or a multi-select list to choose the insurance types. Then, present them with a data grid or advanced data grid component to display the 'report'. What other techniques, options or components are available / have people used?
I've succesfully passed the Flash CS5 ACE recertification exam on 4th of May, but I've not received any certificate yet. PS: I'm not sure this is the right section for this topic, in case it's not i'm sorry.

So DVD interface will contain three elements; user manual, a flash exe file and video.. Flash video window will be short-time video, playing like 5-10 seconds then repeats itself... View 2 Repliesi'm currently working on packaging air application to iPhone with ADT (air 2.7). i get the key.p12 and .mobileprovision file in the IOS provisionning portal and i did this operation from a MacOS (keychain software). When i run the adt command, i get the following error : "could not retreive certificate chain from keystore". I notice a curious thing in the Provisioning Portal. In Certificates section, the name which appears in the list is different than the name i have entered in keychain. For information, i have a professionnal account and not create by me.

View 7 RepliesOK I have been racking my brain to get this resolved and unfortunately there isn't a lot of info on the web. Scenario: We are in a shared environment. Central file server (Mac OS X server) over gigabit enet. We open flash files over the network and then we "try" to publish the files back to the same server in which the .fla is stored. (I have read John at Adobe's comments on the practice but this DID work).
So we access the flash file at /Volumes/ServerName/JobFolder/~Flash/ and we "attempt to" publish the .swf to /Volumes/ServerName/JobFolder/htmlfolder/flash .... this was working previously in flash 6-7 but in 8-cs3 it has stopped working and we are kicking ourselves to get some answers. When we try to publish we get the following error: "Error creating Flash movie file. Be sure the destination is not locked or on a locked drive. Also, check that the file name is not too long."

This works like a charm i IE, but in Firefox and Safari, the Flash player shomehow interprets the HTTP header as a 0, no matter what the browser actually gets. But when loading from the Flash Editor it return a:

This is what is returned when loading data in Flash Editor from a https server without a valid certificate? Or could there be another problem? The url to the https-server is "changed" via the hosts-file in Windows. Could this cause any error? I have tried changing the hosts pointing to my local webserver, which works fine, but that isn't via https.
I have a Flash Player ActiveX control embedded in a .NET WinForms application and am trying to load a SWF into the FP control over an HTTPS url. In development I'm using a self-signed certificate and it seems that in this scenario I can't get FP to accept the certificate and allow the HTTPS communications.When I try to load the swf over https directly, I don't see the swf and when I right-click on the control I see "Movie not loaded". I can load the swf over http and then try to make Flash Remoting calls over https. I don't expect this to work by default but I added a crossdomain.xml file to allow insecure communications. The crossdomain.xml file is in the root of the server but is not loaded. I added an explicit call to loadPolicyFile with the full https url and the crossdomain.xml file is still not loaded. The local IIS logs don't show any request for the file at all, nothing in the HTTPERR file, and Flash's policyfiles.txt log says URl...If I host the swf in a browser, then the browser prompts to accept the certificate and everything works fine. I've accepted the certificate in IE and Firefox.I also tried calling DisableLocalSecurity() on the FP ActiveX control but it had no effect. I didn't really expect it to since I'm not actually loading the swf locally, it's loaded from a url.Can anyone confirm if the self-signed cert really is the problem? Is there a way to get FP to accept the certificate? Any way to bypass the http/https restriction (this is a locally installed app so I can change any local config files we need)?

Also, check that the file name is not too long. It doesn't happen all the time, and I haven't been able to figure out what causes it. I have been able to confirm that it's not anything to do with locked files/drives, permissions, or file name length.
It happens with files created elsewhere (by other developers) that I've modified, and it happens with files I start from scratch - I can create a new FLA on my desktop and it won't publish. Sometimes (but not always), publishing to a different directory than the one the FLA is in will work. This is becoming a big problem. I'm on OS X 10.4.9, 2.33 GHz Core 2 Duo MacBook Pro 17", running CS3 Web Premium package.
How can I avoid the message:
Error creating Flash movie - there was not enough memory available!
I have 200 GB free on my drive where I publish to.
After the message appears, I have always to close all open programs and to restart again. Then it works for a while and the mess appears again.
I've been creating an XML photo gallery with Flash CS4 and AS 3.0 following a tutorial. I followed the instructions step-by-step but at the end I got the following error message instead:
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2035: URL Not Found. Could anyone in the community assist me as to how to solve the problem? The script has no errors and last time I checked all the applicable files (the .xml file, the .jpg files, the .swf and the .fla file) are in my Documents folder on the Mac.
Here is the exact error I receive: Error creating Flash projector file. Be sure that Flash is installed correctly and that the destination file is not locked or on a locked drive.I am able to produce an exe but not the app.

I've installed the latest debug version of Flash player plugin for Mac OS X. Diagnostic page [URL] confirms that the version of Flash plugin detected is debugger one. I'am also able to debug applications using Flash-builder debugging tools. But no runtime error pop-ups are shown during browsing. Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix this strange behavior?
I've tried to uninstall the player using this application [URL] and reinstall Flash player again, but no luck.
UPD1: I've created additional user account and found out that error pop-ups are displayed successfully when switched to that account. So it's likely user-profile configuration issue.

Preloader Movie clip is the first one getting loaded. As i understood the error is getting thrown initially itself, and it is not happening due to any Action script logic written inline, because it is throwing error even before hitting the first inline AS code.I am not able to figure Out what exactly it causing the problem, or where to resolve it.
