I have added a new flash moovie to my website, the problem i have is that in Mozilla, Google Chrome and possibly more the side scrollbars disapear, however in IE they show perfectly. i can not show a url as i have to leave the old page up until i can find out what is causing the problem.
I have tried many different emethods of embedding the .swf object in the website I am currently working on. I have use the code from the publish option which didn't work at all.I also tried the SWFObject javascript thing, and that worked, but It wouldn't auto play and there wasn't anyway to set it. So far all the code I have tried works in Opera 9/10 and IE7/8, but not in firefox or chrome.[code]
I created the movie in a new folder, so I owuld have all the files... fss.html, fss.swf and MinimaFlatCustomColorPlayBackSeekCounterVolMute.swf I uploaded all these to the server.....
URL...When I test the swf file locally, or even on google chrome for some reason, it works fine. But for some reason on IE the ball just bounces back and forth and doesn't follow the code at all.
i have a problem in flex fullscreen mode... that is my input box doesnot work in fullscreen mode.I could'nt able to type anything. and no keydown events are working.
when i use ff, chrome, or safari my flash "movie" rennders fine; but in ie9 i get the same movie twice stacked one on the other.' html that is generated by flash pro is:
I am having an issue with Flash not running in Firefox but it is running in IE and Chrome. The main url is [URL] on which there is a section called "ROI Calculator". The download button links to a flash program which opens up in IE and Chrome but does not open in Firefox. I am using windows 7 professional and Firefox 8. Here is the code for the page [URL]:
I have the Netbook version of Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat and installed Google Chrome stable. I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash. Here is the behavior:1. YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Firefox displays YouTube videos without any problem.5. Ubuntu Lucid 10.4, with the same software components, displays YouTube video in Chrome without problems.Any thoughts on correcting this odd problem?
I have a flash banner that rotate 6 images(slides). and it includes 6 buttons to navigate in to each image. Also images are rotates automatically every 10sec.But these buttons are not clickable in FF/Chrome, but work fine in IE with wmode: transparent. Also these buttons work fine in all browsers with wmode: opaque. Also there is drop down menu on top of the flash movie(a separate menu not included in the flash). In wmode: opaque dropdown part of the menu goes behind the Flash. In wmode: transparent that want happen.
I was taught to make a fading "slide show" in Flash CS3 using movie clips, key frames, and alpha channels. Is there a simpler way? I have a project with over 40 "slides." I am aware of some web sites like slide.com but they seem to include ads which I don't want on a professional site. Any suggestions on how to create a slide show like this one more quickly than with tweening movie clips? (I do have CS4 now.)[URL]
I have embedded an online-call on a website.Everithing works fine in all browsers except Google Chrome. Flash plugin in Chrome doesn't ask permission to use microphone and doesn't call. Any suggestions?P.S. The size of the Flash object on the page is enough for displaying the dialog. At first size of Flash block was the issue but it didn't prevent flash element from calling to our call-centre even though caller couldn't been heard. Now we fixed the size and dialog pops up in all major browsers except Chrome. It feels like Flash movie in Chrome doesn't come to using microphone.
I have a movie clip (with instance name rectangle_mc) on the stage. Within this movie clip there are two separation animations on the timeline. The ROLL_OVER animation starts on frame "over" and the MOUSE_OUT animation starts on frame "off." If I roll over the movie clip, the initial animation plays, and when I mouse out the other animation plays to restore it to it's initial state. However, once the rollover animation has played once, it will not play again when I roll over it again, but for some reason the MOUSE_OUT plays every time.
I'm having a problem with pathways. I have a main sfw called "loadgallery.swf" and upon clicking buttons in that movie, it loads other swf galleries into a container called "movie." It is working when I test it in Flash, but not when I put it into an html page (two levels up from the swf files) and preview it in a browser. Here's the AS on a button (which works when tested in Flash):
ActionScript Code: on (release) { loadMovie("../../galleries/swfs/gallery1.swf", movie);
If anyone has a minute, can you look at this script and spot the flaw. I got it fron[URL].. It MOSTLY works, the bar travels across as it is loading, but the dynamic elements (percent loaded, # of bytes loaded vs. # bytes total) are blank areas. Haven't a clue. I can e-mail you the Flash file, I saw no provision to upload it to this Forum.
I have one problem with my swf file, I have created an swf for calculating speed. In the time of 12Sec. one person can move some distance with some x speed, an another person can move same distance with 2x speed, but finnaly two persons will reach the distance in same time that is 12Sec. I have created one timer for this, will show the time.If I run the swf the timer is working fine, I embeded this swf into html and I checked that html file using IE it is working fine, but if I check it in FF or Chrome the timer is running bit slow and it is effecting my functionality.
I've created a Flash file that reads from several different xml files and displays them when requested. When I run the Flash player, (by pressing Command-Space within Flash), it all works flawlessly. But when I open it within a browser, only one of the xml files loads, the other two just spin away on the preloader.I have another Flash file that is doing the same thing. A click on a scrolling new list should take you to another web page. In Flash Player it works fine, but from a Browser nothing happens
I created a simple Flash app that shows a menu on the side with 2 movie choices. Each movie choice is supposed to play a different movie. The whole thing works just fine on my local machine but when I upload to the test server, the movies never start. Near as I can tell the SWF loads and functions fine but the movies dont work... constant loading bar. Of course, I want them to stream in a YouTube-like fashion. I've fought with this for some time, tried .FLV files directly in DW (no joy there either) so I'm stuck. If I replace the movies with images, the SWF functions just fine. Just can't seem to do the movies.
I just finished porting my AIR application to Flash. It works perfectly fine when I debug it via Flash Builder or when I load the enclosing HTML file in a browser that uses a debugging enabled version of Flash. However, it stops working when I load it a non-debug version of Flash. The "failure" seems to occur when the app tries to send a SOAP message request to our API server. That whole SOAP layer was generated using Flash Builder's Web Services class generation tools.
According to [URL], getStackTrace() is known to cause problems, so I disabled my calls to it but the problem still occurrs.
I am setting up a Flash based MP3 player control (The standalone version of WordPress Standalone Player). I have a situation of multiple windows with players open. One window opens the other, so I have the window.opener property available. When the child window is opened, I want to programmatically mute the audio player in the parent window.
This works in Firefox, but not in IE 7 and 8. I know little about Flash/Javascript interaction and I'm stuck. I am not getting any error messages. To do this, the player SWF object has a setVolume() and close() function. These functions are not defined anywhere in Javascript so I guess that those are provided by the Flash object. This is supported by the following lines I found in the Flash source code of the player:
I've put together a little flash activity for my educational website, and although it works perfectly on my PC (I also zipped it up and passed it onto my laptop, where it also works perfectly), when I try to open it after uploading it to the website, all it shows is the background.

To download the ZIP file I passed onto my laptop: [URL]
Basically I have imported .flv videos into my flash website. The actual .flv videos have been uploaded to my website so the player skin is the only thing on each page and each skin is linked to the url of the video location. Hope its making sense so far. My problem is that the first video works fine but the other 3 videos do not play...the video player skin does not even turn up. I have also uploaded the "ClearOverPlaySeekMute.swf" video skin file onto my website but still does not work..Heres the flash website (its my own portfolio). If you go onto the "Projects" page and click on Solar System and go through the pages then you will see what I mean.URL...
