when i use ff, chrome, or safari my flash "movie" rennders fine; but in ie9 i get the same movie twice stacked one on the other.' html that is generated by flash pro is:

I'm scaling text from small to large using tweens, but when the text is scaled, it turns into these unreable blobs. The text is still editable, just not useful. (The output looks fine, however.)Is there a setting, or a different method, I should be using to scale text in a tween to prevent this?

I have the Netbook version of Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat and installed Google Chrome stable. I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash.Here is the behavior:1. YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Firefox displays YouTube videos without any problem.5. Ubuntu Lucid 10.4, with the same software components, displays YouTube video in Chrome without problems.Any thoughts on correcting this odd problem?

I have added a new flash moovie to my website, the problem i have is that in Mozilla, Google Chrome and possibly more the side scrollbars disapear, however in IE they show perfectly. i can not show a url as i have to leave the old page up until i can find out what is causing the problem.

The first time it encounters a paragraph with a classI've defined as a block-level element, it renders correctly - witha line break before and after the paragraph. View 1 Repliessometimes when i load a webside in firefox, it fails to draw some of the elements that gets drawn early on in the flash file (4 squares and a background square, all movieclips), but other times it works perfectly. And it ONLY happens in firefox, as far as i know. I have tested it in Opera, Safari and Firefox on my mac. The other browsers loads the file perfectly.I use SWFObject, SWFFit and SWFAddress, if that can have any effect.i draw and do everything in AS3, i only have 2 Movieclips in my fla file, which i export to actionscript.

I have one problem with my swf file, I have created an swf for calculating speed. In the time of 12Sec. one person can move some distance with some x speed, an another person can move same distance with 2x speed, but finnaly two persons will reach the distance in same time that is 12Sec. I have created one timer for this, will show the time.If I run the swf the timer is working fine, I embeded this swf into html and I checked that html file using IE it is working fine, but if I check it in FF or Chrome the timer is running bit slow and it is effecting my functionality.

Should bring up a login when you go to that site. However in Chrome It seems to be loading something and then I just get a blank white screen. Sometimes it loads but if you then hit refresh it will bring you to a blank white screen instead of reloading. Also interestingly if you are staring at the white screen, if you double click, click drag click around alot on the page it will come up kind of like its there but not being displayed. this problem only displayed in Chrome -- IE, Firefox, safarii etc. Perhaps my HTML is bad? I can't believe that because when I use the raw-HTML output from a publish in CS5 It is still giving me this behavior? Also others have had this problem with my site so it isn't just my browser/computer combo.
View 3 RepliesFirst of all I am new in flash i have one problem that i have added one swf file in site and change increase its width for proper setting in my webpage now what happens is when i am running that page in offline firefox/chrome/IE then all displays good and asper my incresed dimensions but when i uploaded the page on server and then testing online then the in IE it displays perfect but....... in Firefox and in Chrome it displays in small size (in original size, before my edit)

View 1 RepliesWhen I attempt to select an item from the right click context menu, it sems as though the mouse "jumps". If I click repeatedly enough sometimes it will trigger the selected item. It only seems to be a problem on Windows FireFox/Chrome. It works fine on Windows IE, Mac Firefox/Chrome/Safari. I have a flash piece which simply renders only on the first initial load. After that, if i refresh or visit the page, it does not load correctly. I've gone through the tutorial on the site, and ive been able to modify the cube code, so it allows me to "flip" a box from one side to the other. It all functions correctly, except that the text that is on one of the faces renders really blurry.Is there something about the camera focus i'm not understanding?

if you feed the textarea text attribute with an tag that has a valid src url, then for some reason flex will try to render everything as html.Eg, try this:<mx:TextArea id="textArea" width="100%" height="90%" text="<img src='http://url-to-a-valid-img"/> and instead of it rendering it as raw text it will render it as an html.

I need the final locations of the object to be stored and next time the SWF is started, the objects to be placed where the user left them. For this purpose I use Shared Object into which I push all my objects:[code]function saveParameters is called by mouseclick on a button and check point 2 shows all the three _x coordinate correctly which means that the parameters has been wtitten to the disk.However when I restart the SWF, the first check point traces objects_parameters.data.parameters=undefined,undef ined,undefined.I.e. it cirrectly traces number of objects stored (three), but for some reason all these three objects are undefined and their _x and _y are not available.there a way to format AS code code here so that it will look like in my Dreamweaver to be more readable?
View 0 RepliesI'm using a List control. In the renderer of the List control I've got a Repeater. Each Repeater can have a different number of items. Adding to the complexity, one of the components being repeated in the repeater is a Text control that has long text that will wrap, increasing it's height. I need to expand the height of the List completely so that there's no vertical scrollbar. How can I do this?
I tried an extremely dirty attempt at calculating the Lists height based on the data source. From the data source I can figure out the number of repeater items and the number of items in each repeater in the List's renderer. But there's no way to compensate for the wrapping of the text in the Text control.

Then when I add something else as a child in this class, the mask is still applied to the gallery and it crops it accordingly, however the background in it turns white and hides whatever was behind it. For instance, there is space between the rectangles in the gallery movieclip and then a backdrop from the main class's movieclip shows behind it. When I called "addChild", the space between the rectangles becomes white. The background of gallery renders totally white.
I've been testing a flex browser app in Firefox. It has a httpservice that loads a file from a remote server. It works fine in FF, but when I tested it in Google Chrome, I start getting Error #2032: Stream Error. Previously there was no crossdomain.xml file on the remote server. But since Chrome started having hiccups I put the crossdomain.xml file up (on the root of the domain). However, Chrome still gives me that 2032 error. I don't know what is wrong. I am testing this locally (localhost) from and also from the Flash Builder 4 ADL, using the Flash debugger (which I finally got working in Chrome).

unfortunately many times the Flash plugin at Google's Chrome crashes. But fortunately, they just present a message box and a sad face.
My question is, how do they do it? my first thought is that they use structured exception handling but then again, how they know its Flash that crashed?
