I am new to FlashPro CS5. I need to use it with SlideShowPro Director and the associated product 'ThumbGrid'.I followed the instructions and settings from SlideShow Pro but nothing happens when I publish. They say I need to go to the flash security settings panel and add my local folder as a trusted location to execute the files from.I cannot find the flash security settings panel. Can I get a hint on where to find the flash security settings panel. I need to add my local folder as a trusted location to execute the files from.

I use a laptop which is never connected to the web for customer demos away from base. It does not have the Flash authoring environment installed either. Furthermore, a customer's own system used to run development versions of web sites using HTML with Flash content is not guaranteed to have web access either. Because some of the associated FLV files are quite large, uploading to a web host for such testing is not really viable even where clients have web access at meetings.
I have an AS3-based project which triggers Flash 10 local security protection on systems other those that used for authoring, for which the workaround is to set the source folder as trusted using the Flash Player Settings Manager. but [URL] doesn't seem to offer a useful way to avoid this problem without going on line to the Flash Player Settings Manager via an Adobe web site.
Win xp pro 32bitFirefox/3.6.4 same problem in IE 8.006.001 or opera 10.54 WIN 10,1,53,64
My global storage settings are set for 1) 'none' , 2)allow 3rd party..unchecked and 3) store common flash... unchecked. I can make changes but when i click another tab and come back to the storage settings tab every thing is still set for 'none' etc. This is true for all the tabs. no change I make is retained once another tab is activated or if I close the browser page. I have uninstalled flash and reinstalled. Searched and deleted every entry in the register that I thought may be relevant but no change. would like to be able to enable these options
I am using twilo client in one of my apps and it is showing following popup when I click on call buttonBut I want to show the following pop up which is lot simpler and seems less cumbersomeIs there a way to control which pop up comes on the screen? I have read some documentation of adobe but their configuration files live in users computer which ofcourse can not be changed by a website.
In my application I am accessing a XML file which is in the same location as the fla, yet I have to add my folder location to the Flash Global security settings in order to avoid that infamous Security violation that is thrown. Thats fine in my development environment, however when deployed on a customer's machine they have the same issue. Is there a way programmatically to to trust the xml file and avoid the security violation? NOTE the customer is accessing the swf in 2 ways through a .NET loading mechanism and 2. opening the file location in a web browser (NOT in a we page but opening the swf directly - YES I know this is not recommended - but nevertheless is the customer's preference)
I am unable to click on "Allow" button in my Adobe Flash Player Settings panel that pop's up because half of it is hidden behind divs making it "unclickable".I tried setting negative z-indices on the divs that are overlaying it and I also tried giving a prositive z-index to the div holding the Flash Player Settings panel
I want to stop flash player security panel to appear every time in my video recorder. I apply allow and remember but still popup appears. How I can stop this popup if once user chooses allow and remember?
Problem: Users of our web app are complaining how hard it is to get past Flash Player's Security Panel when they want to make video calls. (Personally, I don't see why it's hard.) We tried several things to guide them through the process, including callouts pointing to the Security Panel area with specific instructions and even an auto-play video. But still some don't get it. I think the biggest confusion is the "Close" button. Users think that it will close the app or the entire window.
Solution #1: It's possible that part of the problem is the small size and styling of the Security Panel. Is it possible to apply a style or skin to the Security Panel, so that it's larger and looks more consistent to our web app?
Solution #2: Perhaps there's also a non-technical solution. Has anyone seen a good implementation of a web app that make it easy for non-technical users to make video calls?
I have created an swf that manages to get all urls assigned to the buttons. When I publish the file I set the global security to allow that file to work and all links work. My question is when I transferred the html and swf to a new pc none of the buttons worked I was not even given an option to update global security settings by adding a new location. If I was to load this swf to an ftp media server is that the location I need to allow and can I only do this from the original PC where the file was created as transferring it seemed to make the buttons not do anything.
It's very annoying the allow/deny security setting poped out everytime the web page submitted/refreshed. Is there a way to turn it off or at least allow/deny once for a whole web "session" (once for a web site visit)?
I'm loading jpg to videoclip and it works on Flash IDE preview, but not in published .swf (IE)(It doesnt load images)How to make it work?I have tried adding
When using the fileReference.download method to let users download content from my server. Some users get a Security error when trying to downlaod. When studying the fileReference class it says: To avoid this situation, reclassify this SWF file as local-with-networking or trusted. But how do I do that? Do I import the security class and then set secrurity to: Security.LOCAL_WITH_NETWORK; If yes. Should I do that in my base class or the class that is "creating the error"? Or should I change the Local playback security to "Access network only" (I am using the cs3 flash)?
I am having a problem with Flash.I get the message Movie not loaded if I right clich where the video should be.I may have set the hardware acceleration on/off by mistake, but I cannot get the Settings manager to open to check it.I am running Feroda rc14.If I go to http:[url].... and right click in to white area at the top, I get the message 'Movie not loaded' and the flash version - 10.2.159.1. This is where I should be able to open the settings window.Where does Flash store that info on my PC? How can I check it/change it without Settings manager?
I have developed flash audio and video chat application, every thing is working fine with all browser with in XP(os), but I have problem in Mac(os), i.e., I cannot able to click on Website Privacy Settings panel allow button in Mac 10.5.8, cursor is pointing on allow button, when am clicking on it nothing is happening, and there is no probelm in XP, I can able to click on Allow button. How do I stop or disable appearing Website Privacy Settings panel before webcam starts. I went through with [URL], here its allowing without appear website privacy setting panel for only one user that also for that particular PC only,i wanted to get allow for all online web users by default allow with out appearing website privacy seetings panel.
This is a two fold query involving the same issue. As you know, if you attempt to use bitmap.draw() with an object (image or swf) that is not in the same domain as the calling swf the bitmap will not draw. As described by Adobe livedocs, if Security.allowDomain() is setup in the calling swf then draw() will work. However, I cannot get this method to work. I have supplied an example fla (make sure to get the .as for it too).
1. How do I get Security settings right to permit bitmap.draw() to work with objects from another domain? (not any domain - just the domain I define in the allowDomain parameter)
2. How do I setup an event handler (listener) for bitmap.draw() so I can detect when it doesn't draw?
I just downloaded Flash CS5 for mac which installed without any errors. However, when I first launched the software I am getting the following error: The following panel layout is missing or could not be read: /users/rob/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Workspace/Essentials.xml The application will not have a correct layout. load one from Windows ->Workspace Once past this message none of the panels load.
I bought a template but can figure out how to change a few flash settings .My website is done except for these few minor changes. To see what Im talking about go to the website main page here [url]....
1) There are two flash files, a menu and a header, in the menu when the page paods the buttons are white and turn orange when you scroll over them. Id simply like them orange when the page loads and then to turn white when you scroll over them. I can figure out how to get the scroll over to white but not the first part to getting the load orange.
2) In the header file there are several pics. Beside the pics there are scroll over buttons. Id like the first button, that says domestic contract, open when the page loads.
Yes correct I'm talking about Flash Player 11, thats what it says in Flash CS5 software. Whatever I do in Publish Setting, Flash software always returns option to be Flash Player 11, I don't get this. I choose Flash Player 8 and AS 2.0 and re-open Publish Settings it is again back on Flash Player 11 and AS 3.0. First screenshot Second screenshot
In Flash CS3 you could set a default color with an alpha setting. I have not found a way to do this in CS4. Is there a way? Its nice to have some default colors for shading that are easy to get to.
I am on mac and haven't upgraded my OS from 10.5 to 10.6 so when I upload a file creted in Flash CS5 it won't play because it needs the Latest flash player which uses 10.6 OS.So what I'm getting to is that can I go into "publish" settings and change the Flash player from 10.2 to an older version and then will this work. Also, which version should I change it to? For example sould I select Flash Player 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 10.1?
Does anyone knows of a way to get the output panel in flash or the console panel in flex builder or flash builder, to format the "traces" with html or any thing else? for example:
trace( <b>brett</b> ); and to get that to appear in bold in the console window or the output window?
I have created a line on the stage with the Line tool, and then want to edit the Stroke and Style in the Properties panel. However, after creating the line these options are greyed out and not available to me. Even if I then select the Line with the Selection tool, I cannot edit the Stroke or the Style.
When I trace something in flashcs5, font size in the output panel is very big. Is there somewhere where I can set preferences for this panel? In other version of flash it was a lot smaller and readable.
I've created a new snippet in the Code Snippets panel in Flash CS5. However, it doesn't appear anywhere in the panel. Does anyone know where it's gone?
I use Flash CS4,Now Flash CS4 occurs problems, when I choose Rectangle Tool, and I choose Paint Bucket Tool in FILL AND STROKE box,I find color panel is not show correctly, the last line 'linear example icons' show not correct, some icons don't show any linears, and some icons are gray box! I try to reinstall Flash CS4,it still show not show correctly! How to restore color panel?
Ok the issue I'm having with flash is that the windows on the right side of my flash window do not snap up when I collapse a window. I am attaching a screen shot to better explain this issue. As you can see I have the color panel collapsed up, when I expand this panel and it goes down everything shifts down. however when I collapse it back up a huge gap is left behind in CS5.5 as is displayed in screen shot number 2. In CS4 I never had this problem. I could expand and collapse panels as I saw fit with no problems what so ever. Everytime now that I expand a panel and collapse it, the library or other panels do not move up with the collapsing. This causes a workspace issue. and forces me to drag up the library via the black line that is just above it but below the align panel so that I have better access to my library or properties panel for when I'm working. I find this highly annoying and would like it if there could be a fix produced to make it so this collapsing issue can be fixed and I don't have to waste time dragging up the library/properties panel everytime I need to access stuff in my library when I have a huge list of graphics I'm going through.
We're producing a desktop application that includes html and swf in AS3. We get the following error: Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network: C:UsersDave%20ZelenkaDesktopworld-source...world.swf is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location: C:UsersDave ZelenkaDesktopworld-sourcesample-htmlsample.html To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings. You must restart the applcation after changing your settings.
So, I know how to resolve this by clicking the settings. But our users won't want to do that. What doesn't make sense is that the swf file isn't pulling anything from the Internet. The world.swf file shouldn't be communicating with sample.html, and not only that, they are located in the same folder.
