Professional :: Switch Between WebcamsRecord And Save To The ServerWhen Making It Similar To Youtube's?
Apr 8, 2011
Have screen filled as much as possible with webcamBe able to go full screenJust keep it simple!Work out a way of giving you credit without putting stuff on the fullscreen version (I will not be distributing it commercially)Some things that would be kind of cool to add (both inspired by youtube's webcam thing)Ability to switch between webcamsRecord and save to the serverWhen making it similar to youtube's try to stay simple!
I don't see any similar tutorial enable you to get the time position when the mouse cursor is on that hslider position, how do I make it possible like Youtube's feature? With this trick, my application would be perfect! Using Flex 4, I hope the code is not too difficult.
I have made a button to function like a switch in that it has both an on and off state. However, I can only get it to switch between the on and off state once when it's pressed, with nothing happening after it has been turned off.The code is as follows:
There are videos there and they play fine and get removed when I change pages. The problem is, if I leave a video playing and then switch pages the sound continues even though the video disappears. How can I make the sound stop? I have done quite a lot of research. My video's appear code is:
I'm searching something similar to the lightbox effect in javascript, but for flash.
I already tried succesfully "flash lightbox v2" (http://blog.alancurtis.it/tag/flash/) but I'm searching something native for flash, without javascript.
At my college, they have CS4 (master suite) and at home I've got CS5 (design premium). I can save files in CS5 as CS4 so they can be read at college (by Flash) but I have to do it via the "save as" every time I save. After a couple of times, it get rather irritating. Is it possible for me to save in the usual way (as if it was a CS5 document) without the save as dialog every time I save my work?
I am using FileReference,save() to save a file to the local HDD. It works. But it could be nicer. When I issue the command, I get a dialog box displayed and the title is "Select location for download by localhost". I can't see any documented way to change that title. The file I want to save has been created locally - there is nothing to download.
Also, the dialog lists "All Files" and there does not be any way to filter to a particular file type - although I can specify a default file name (including the extension). I suspect that these are features of the current implementation - not a lot of people read the title of the dialog box anyway. But if they can be changed, I'd like to know.
I am an amateur programmer attempting to make an adventure game and I need a little help. The basic setup is a panoramic engine that loads external swf's when you click on a specific area. I need a way to globally store the states of the puzzle variables so that you can save your progress. The basic idea for my save game class is as follows:
good tutorial for drag and drop quiz style? I have managed to actually create the drag and drop but I need it for a quiz (as quiz templates are no longer available past CS3) so need it to tell the user if they are correct or not i.e. drag a word onto a picture and then hit a button that says if its correct or not or something similar.
I am trying to create the simple thing by closing the switch as in image2 to glow the bulb can I achive it using adobe? The image1 is actual state & when i close(user event) the switch the state of the switch should change & bulb should glow. When I Open(again user event) the switch the state of the switch should change to the original state as in Image1.
I'm working on for a flooring company. They want a Flash movie that allows the user to change the look (product and color) of different areas of the floor.I have a menu on the left side that designates the three different areas of the floor. I have the two products along with color swatches along the top. I currently have each of the three areas as separate movies that load into a main movie. These three area movies each contain the color swatches on the top as buttons to change the color of that area using "On Release > Go To Frame Label" actions that displays each of the different colors. These movies each load on a different level based on the selection of the left side menu.I want the user to be able to go to each of the three areas and change the product/color attributes without losing what they had already done. For instance, if they choose PRODUCT A in RED for AREA 1, then they want to change the product/color on AREA 2, I still want the movie to display PRODUCT A in RED for AREA 1, etc.The problem I run into is that when you go back and forth between the three areas, the navigation only controls what movie is on the top level and doesn't allow the user to go back to a previous area and change the product/color attribute.
I'm writing a player that switches to videos of different resolutions. I was able to get this to work before by closing the netstream connection and opening a new one with the new file address.I now want to try using the play2() function instead, but after setting the transition variable to "NetstreamPlayTransitions.SWITCH" and the oldStream and streamName properties to the old and new file addresses, respectively, nothing happens. The current stream keeps playing. I know that the file addresses are correct because if play each one individually using the RESUME transition, it works fine.
I'm pretty new to this and racking my brains on the following problem: I have a movieclip-button, with 3 states (normal, over and clicked). I want to disable the functions in actionscript 3 that switch between the normal and over-states after the button is clicked, and not enable these functions for this button until another button is clicked. What's the best/ simplest way to do this?
I am still new to AS. Looking for a detailed tutorial/explanation on adding/embeding a youtube video to flash. If anybody has a descent example that would work too. Also i would like the youtube video to play in the flash file.
I have trying to use this sample FLA from google to embed youtube videos in my flash doc but, when I publish the file it comes up blank with no errors.
I wanted to know if this is possible. On my site I want to play youtube videos from my account from youtube. Basically, there will be an empty text box. Users will type in some text. Click on a button to search and play a random video based off tags associated with a video from my youtube account with the words from the text box? And if they did the same search it wouldn't play the same video again?
I've created an swf file in After Effects and uploaded it to my website. It works fine, HOWEVER. when you click onto another menu tab and then switch back to Home the swf has dissapeared. To see for yourself look at [URL]
I'm back in video after a decade long absence and I'm completely new to YouTube because I've been living on a continent that rarely even has Internet. I've got some old footage I need to put on YouTube, but YouTube's specs are a bit contradictory at times.Starting from the get go, I have several questions and I hope you can point me in the right direction. It sounds like an FLV file is what I should go for, so I'll base my questions on that. Don't hesitate to answer between the lines. And don't hesitate to tell me to change tracks.
The most clear export I can make from my old Avid editing program is an uncompressed QuickTime movie. I can't find anything in the YouTube specs about QuickTime moives. They don't say they're good. They don't say they're bad. Can I convert to an FLV file and upload to YouTube with good results? When I export non-HD material from my editing program, what frame size do I export? When I convert to an FLV file, what size do I re-size to? Or does YouTube resize whatever I send to them to the right size? When I convert to an FLV file, what's a reasonable bitrate for video? How about audio?Or do I even need to bother with the above? In one YouTube information sheet, it sounded like I could just upload a plain old MPEG2 file and YouTube would go from there. Correct or not? What's the benefit of an alpha channel? It seems like the files get smaller, but I can't get them to play at all after I've ticked alpha.I'm using Avid Xpress Pro 4.3 and have access to both AVS and TMPG 3 for MPEG conversion. I'm using CS3 from Adobe.
Why can't I watch youtube videos on my laptop? It's brand new. I can go to the website and the video loads just fine. It starts to play but then shortly after it quits. The monitor flickers and then goes black. I don't think it's the Adobe Flash player.
One Mp3 file lives in the main timeline of a Flash file extending length of movie. These files have to be converted for youTube postings. Output I've tried is .mov and .avi. Audio format is not being recognized by youTube. I only have the mp3 sound files which i know is a compressed format. Are there simple settings or config changes i can make for export to get these to upload to youTube with audio?
I understand Flash will be ready for the Droid in mid year... and maybe some other smart phones.BUT... till then... other than using YouTube... is there anyway to get web video to play on the Droid or other smart phones?
How to embed a YouTube video file in particular place of my Flash project, should I do this in action panel or in final html file. Here is exactly what I'd like to do: On this website [URL] under 'Film' panel I have some movie samples, and after clicking buttons on right side I'd like to play embedded YouTube clips instead of flv.samples uploaded to my ftp. as it takes too long for customers to download them.
i've got a problem with a Flash website that has been driving me crazy. i have a Flash website that was built for us in late 2009, it uses ActionScript 2 and i have been maintaining it in CS3 on a Mac.
the site is structured as a heirarchy of swf files, and loads XML files to specify text content, image locations, and Youtube videos. all this has worked fine until sometime in the past month or two. the problem now is that the embedded Youtube videos no longer load, although nothing has changed in the code. unfortunately i don't know exactly when the videos stopped loading.
in the Activity Window of Safari i can see the URLs for the Youtube crossdomain file [URL].. Youtube still for the video, and the Youtube player[URL].. however neither the still frame nor the player skin load.
if i run the site directly from my hard drive (with my Flash Player security preferences set to allow the swf to access the internet), the videos do load and play, so i am guessing that it is some kind of security domain issue. if i run the site in Flash CS3 in debug mode, when i navigate to a video page, although the video loads and plays, i get lots of these warnings (i've edited the path and file name):
I have the Netbook version of Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat and installed Google Chrome stable. I installed the latest version of Adobe Flash. Here is the behavior:1. YouTube videos appear as a white screen when embedded on the page in Chrome. I hear sound.2 The video is normal when I switch to full-screen mode.3. HTML5 videos display normally in Chrome4. Firefox displays YouTube videos without any problem.5. Ubuntu Lucid 10.4, with the same software components, displays YouTube video in Chrome without problems.Any thoughts on correcting this odd problem?
Is there a flash component player for the web that can play resolutions like youtube has be the user selecting a dropdown. If not, is there a tutorial that you know of that will show me how? I'm not a programmer, just a designer. I just upgraded to CS5 premium - love it so far.
I'm now working on a flash website, i need to play a youtube video inside my flash movie. In this Flash file i have a FLVPlayback component and i tried to link the youtube video into this but did'nt work.
I downloaded the trial version so I could work on the final project for class but for some reason when I tried to save it my computer froze up. Is this because the save feature is turned off for the trial version or was it just my computer? If I can't save using the trial version than I wasted memory on my computer and a lot of my time downloading the trial version that isn't going to be very useful to me.
