Nov 1, 2011Why is there no 'update' available to take the Flash Pro standalone and debuggers to FP11? There don't seem to be any Adobe authored instructions on doing it manually and I can't find an update. Oct 13, 2011I have Flash CS5.5 I just uploaded an swf with a few button instances I got the msg that I needed to update my Flash player so I did. After that when I went to test the swf I get no button cursors on any buttons in the swf. The buttons work when I press on them but there is no cursor. If I publish the file locally the cursors are there, I made a few different fla's with test buttons to make sure and they all do the same thing. The publishing settings are set for 10.2 , this seems to have happened once I got the new Flash player 11.3.

Jun 27, 2009I was wondering if I could get your opinion on whether or not I should upgrade from Flash CS3 to CS4. I understand It has 3D and IK capabilities as well as what is supposed to be an improved IDE. But what other good reasons are there? I tend to code all my animations. I probably should take more advantage of the timeline. The work I do tends to be for clients in the music/tv industry, so I'm not doing hardcore database apps, well not yet anyway.

Aug 13, 2010After our upgrade some of our streaming media files no longer stream... I have performed an flcheck on the files in question and they are returning the following error:
FLVCheck version 1.0 - Utility to validate flv and mp4 media files.Copyright (C) 2008 Adobe Systems Incorporated. [URL].. 10-08-13 15:49:07 Error: -31 Bad box hierarchy. Found a track childbox before track. At this point we have a large majority of the files that normally streamed quite normally and fine in 3.0 not streaming at all in 3.5 I hate to back out of the upgrade, but if we can not find a solution to this problem it will have to happen.

Aug 17, 2011In Flash 5.0 i could create a file with ios-settings and test it on my pc by choosing Control/Test movie/Test or by using Ctrl + Enter. A new window opened. Now I have upgraded Flash to 5.5 and when I do the above nothing happens. In a tutorial I could see the teacher testing his ios-file on his mac so it seems like it should work.

I downloaded all necessary packages, changed dependencies in Maven for Spring (to 3.0.7), Hibernate (to 3.6.9) and Spring flex core (to 1.5.2). ActionScript 3.0 :: Font Not Showing Correctly After CS 5.5 Upgrade?
Jul 25, 2011I have a site I was working on that I am using two main fonts in. I had the fonts embedded in the SWF. I upgraded to CS 5.5 this morning, now some of the fonts have changed.
I have two SWF's that when loaded into the main site, no longer have the correct font. When I preview them independently, they are fine. When they load into the main SWF they use a standard font instead of the embedded one.

Aug 5, 2010I sucessfully upgraded from FMS to FMIS. In the Admin it shows that the license is now Flash Media Interactive Server r405 I believe. The live and vod services continue to work as expected. On a separate development server I have developed a number of applications that I want to move to the new production server. Nothing connects at all on the new server. In the Admin, all the applications show as being available. Is there something I need to do to make it work?

Mar 29, 2012Can't figure the best/conventional way to manage the sprites/animation. Players are supposed to upgrade their weapons and armors, and its to reflect on their character appearance. Instead of drawing each armor to pair with each weapon. What are the best way to go? I've tried nesting weapons(sub-movieclip) inside each set of armors(main movieclip). But then I have trouble playing the clip using gotoAndStop().
