I am working on an interactive guitar tutorial. Lets say that the person is watching the video and doesnt understand part of the guitar line that I am showing them. Lets say that they do not understand what happens between 3 seconds and 11 seconds (this can be any point during the video). Is there any way that the user can loop any part of the video that they are having trouble with?

View 4 RepliesI have created animated presentations (since now, I have just videos) for my seminars at the university with cinema 4D and I added some effects with After Effects (CS5). Now, I want to build an interactive presentation. That means:
- The (video projector) presentation starts with a video in a loop.
- When I click a button on the mouse/keyboard, the video finishes the loop until the end and
- show a transition video and
- start the next loop and so on...

i'm trying to do an infinate loop for my m.clip.the looping part does not want to loop...it loops back to my firrst frame even though there are two same picture in the movie clip.....here's a sample of what i use for the infinate loop script..

Status:
- I imported an AVI video clip to Flash converting it to FLV
- I published the project
- I put the files on my web server
- It automatically starts playing when you go to the web page

But I can't find their download sample And, they say click on Frame-1 and press F9 then put code snippit in after line 7 But, I see no Action Script when I click on Frame 1 and press F9... a window opens but no code appears...just a long menu on the left.
I have an fla file exported from After Effects that I am trying to get ready for a website so it loops continuously and is web ready.
Details:
- Clip needs to be rasterized and not vectorized (hence the flv format)
- Dimensions are 1400 by 514
- No Interactivity, just a simple looping 4 second clip
I have tried to loop a video. Though in the SWF, the video plays only once. Can someone see something wrong in the AS3 code below (relevant info tagged like this --->) (FLV instance is called "Film_mc")

View 5 RepliesI have an flv video file that I've imported into Flash CS5 project as an embedded movie, because graphic and movie clip both produced still images. I want to embed the final product onto my website, and have the video autostart in the beginning, play all the way through, and then go back to frame 40 or so and loop continuosly from there. I've tried selecting the final frame and applying the instancename.gotoandplay (40); code but it isn't working. I read that this only works on keyframes, so I tried making the final frame a keyframe but because it is an flv file for some reason it isn't allowing me to do that.
View 2 RepliesI have a video that I've embedded into a project by means of linking it from my server, where it lives (not embedding it into the actual project) and I cant for the life of me find a way to get the video to continually loop when it finishes. Any looping meathod I've found so far using AS3 only loops the basic animations in the movie, not the video.

I have a replay button that is already working great, but I want the arrow part of the button to spin in the 'Over' state. What I tried was creating a looped frame. I went inside the button itself, (button composed of an arrow symbol and text). I then went to the 'Over' state and went to edit the arrow symbol itself.when I drag the playheader in there, it seems to loop just fine, but when I export it it's not working.

In my CS4 flash document I have created a media gallery. It's a very simple interface that has mouse overs on thumbnail pictures, and then the larger picture will fadeUP in the center of the document. (With use of framelabels in the timeline).
In the same document, I want the user to be able to click on a video thumbnail, and that video plays back in the center of the document. Several questions: If the user clicks on the thumbnail "onrelease," the time line goes to the player, is it possible to stream this video from a youtube clip into my media player on the screen? If not and I have the document in a fl4 format, is there a simple process to have this video open? (I currently do not have the document in fl4 format).
I was told there is a server technology that allows user to seek to a part of video that has not been loaded yet even if I am using progressive download, not true streaming.
View 1 RepliesFlash content should have wmode set to opaque. In my case, part of the JQuery dialog is above and part is below. Obviously it's possible for stuff to appear on top of the flash video (because part already is), but I don't know why most of it appears under the Flash.

View 2 RepliesI have a swf with time delays added to skip to the next part of the video.[code]Now I have another swf that loads the video into a container using the code below once a user clicks on some text.[code]The first time the user watches the clip it does PERFECT! but if a user is to click the link again half way through the video it throws all the timing completely off. You can see I tried using unloadMovie to unload anything from the frame when a user clicks the text to make sure the video wasn't playing back behind.I was wondering if it may be the fact I have.[code]for all my timed breaks (different times of course) should I rename each myInterval or something?
View 9 RepliesI'm converting some old Director/Shockwave animations to Flash, and I'm setting up a navigation system. I have a simple animation that runs from from 1 to frame 110, and I'd like it to loop until the user clicks a button. The timeline goes on beyond frame 110 with other stuff. In an "actions" layer in frame 110, I have the following
gotoAndPlay(1);
I thought that this would lead to the looping, but it doesn't. The movie just moves on beyond frame 110. Just as a test, I put the following at frame 110 instead.
stop();
and when I test the movie, it doesn't stop. The commands don't seem to be seen.
I am trying to loop through an array - nothing complicated, just a slideshow but I'm not getting the "for loop" part I think... This is what I have:

I wonder if we can use XML to link into certain section of a SWF file?I have purchased a carousel which is composed mainly by AS3 and XML, it contains of 6 images linking to 6 different section of a swf file. From where should I modify to add-in the sub-button onto the carousel image? How should I modify the XML when I click on the sub-button, it will link into certain section of a swf file?
View 2 RepliesI have imported an image into Flash, turned it into a symbol, inserted a frame, then a tween, and can animate the image with tint. It works fine, but the tint is applied to the entire image. What I was hoping to do, is have a sort of 'rolling tint', where the tint starts on the left side of the image, and gradually works it's way over to the right.

I'm a c++ game programmer so I am familure with ways of specfing with part of a texture to render but I havn't found anything with Flash that looks like I can do the same kind of thing.
