Professional :: Using Script To Add A Button Effect?
Jan 12, 2011
is it possible to ad a "button effect" (different state for "normal" and "hover") to an existing button without having to do it graphically but only with a script?
i ask this because i have a flash-gallery with hundrets of thumbinails in converted to buttons that recall a javascript to open the full image (lightbox) and it would be nice to add each button a nice "hover" effect (maybe they should look dark and become normal brightness when hovered) but i don't want to edit each single button ..
I am making a Flash ad for my company. I am a beginner/intermediate Flash user. I need to add a clickTag, which is done. The issue is that I want the button to "shimmer" when it is rolled over. I cannot figure out how to make this work with the clickTag having to be the topmost layer in the file.
This is what I have so far: shinyButton.onRollOver = function() { this.glitter.play();};clicktag_but.onPress = function(){ getURL(_root.clickTAG, "_blank");};
I was able to take an existing Flash file created in '06 and make a simple slideshow. See it at: [URL]. Now I've been asked to add buttons and make the slides fade instead of slide into each other. They want it like this: [URL]. So I created a very simple mock up: [URL]. I just can't get the buttons to work like the prosolassociates one above. I have attached the FLA here for review. Attachments: slideshow_buttons.fla.zip (9.0 K)
I am making flash with mouse over its not working properly, 1) When mouse over the button not come the transperant area to entire pic 2) How can transparent area slowely to come mouse out
I'm a beginner in AS and is trying to build my website entirely on AS2.0. Here's an effect ( I call it "appear effect" ) I wanna create with the tween class:
[Code]...
I would like to have this effect triggered whenever a button needs to appear. In total, I have about 10 btns. I believe I have to store it inside a function. Tat's all I know, can someone pls kindly guide me thru this?
recreate this text effect? http:[url].....Here's my version: http:[url]....
http:[url]....The trained eye can probably see that the original version looks much better. Why is that? Is there something obvious I'm doing wrong, or could this text have been made using a different technique?(whether I use Flash or Photoshop shouldn't matter as their text effects are pretty much identical)
I'm animating an atom so I have an electron circling the nucleus in the x direction. I've added a motion blur in the x direction which I like. The problem is that I'm then using AS3 to duplicate the animation and randomly rotate it. Now even though the electron is moving up and down the blur is still horizontal. Is there an easy way to fix this? I've tried making the blur a movieclip inside another movieclip but it always blurs only in the x direction.
In this tutorial : [URL]...it is said about something for color effect in properties pane. I can see the property pane but I can't find Color Effect. I'm using Flash Professional CS5.5. P.S.- This was my first Flash Tutorial (and that's really first one.)
Here are the two texts Products Innovation I want the button to be "products" and when you mouse over it products fades out and innovation fades in and moves to the top right, like an animation.
Currently I have retangular jpegs that are converted to linked buttons. The reason I made these buttons as jpegs is b/c I wanted to use this really cool font that most computers wouldn't readily have. Its working just fine but I wish to have a underline effect when the mouse is rolled over. I looked under the properties of the button but it does not have that option...is it possible to do that in the timeline?
Should I replace that non-underlined button with a jpeg that's been underlined when the keyframe is in the over position? I am using both dreamweaver and flash for the first time; all my content is a single flash swf file inside a box that is centered in the page in dreamweaver. I find the layout arrangement in Dw difficult somehow and Fl much easier to work with. This is the page I'm working on [URL].
I have an array of buttons that are just text and I would like to change the color effect to a blueish color when clicked/active. I can obviously do this in the property inspector, but I would like to change it programatically. Is there a class I can use to accomplish this?
I want to create a button roll_over effect i as3, like the one you see on this link, when you roll_over the small pictures. The picture changes to the oicture you just rolled over and if you remove the mouse the picture you rolled over last stays. here is the link http:[url].....I have 3 buttons like this, and i would like the buttons to go back to their normal state when you roll_over the next button.
I want to do a simple thing in Flash CS3, but some how I am unable to do it. Actually my requirement was....OnRollOver of a Button I want to slightly zoom it and OnRollOut. I want to slightly zoom out the Button. And the conditions are I should not use TimeLines/Stage Assets etc. Every thing has to come dynamically. Including the Button creation/ZoomOut/ZoomIn effect etc. and mainly I need it in Flash Cs3/Flash Cs4.
If a mouse comes over a button(not click) then how can we goto different frame. E.g. if mouse comes over(not click/hit) aw_btn, in frame 1 then how can timeline jump into frame 20.
This works fine. Now what I am trying to do is turn this into a button which does this effect on rollover?I tried sticking the mc in the hover keyframe of a button but this does nothing.
I want the effect in which product strip( movie with multiple product in a row) is running and if i take my mouse on that strip it should move either left or right ( depending the location of the mouse from center) and if i follow that strip it should slow down and on clicking on particuler product it ll show it's zoom. I ll be higly obliged if you give me some fla for ref. or tutorial link.
I wanna make like a popup effect with a close btn, the matter is that I don't know how to fix it. So any time that I click on any btn will only show a popup, then if I click in another btn the previos popup disappear and shows the new one, by now I can't figure out how fix it.
I have tried looking through the tutorials for what I am looking for but to no avail. I am embarking on a mini solo project (building my first website) and I wanted to give my buttons a "rocking" effect on mouse over.
I am already able to do the simple on mouse over change colour etc so wanted to try something different.
I was just surfing the forums, and found exactly what I needed, but then I lost it . I need to create an effect where a bar go's to the rolled over button. Its a horizontal menu, with the sliding bar. I can get the bar to follow the mouse, but not the moused over button. Please help, this is very frustrating.
Is there any way in flash 8 to creat feather effect for an object? (As there is a tool in photoshop: for a selection we can apply feather effect (from select - feather) after copy that selection to another place we gt feather effect).
I am asked to prepare an interactive and dynamic presentation in the area of enterprise architecture. The source of data should store in database. The effect I want to achieve is something as the link below. Can Flash do it (I guess so but still want to confirm)? But I could not find any similar Flash samples on the internet [URL]..
i want to make flash file in which, when i click anywhere one water kind drop come from top to down and when it reach bottom it distribute in so many parts.after this one textbox will display and i am able to enter some text in that textbox.
I would like to make a mouse-over effect on an object. The mouse-over effect should work like this: when the mouse cursor is dragged over the object it should glow, but if the mouse cursor remains over the object it should still glow, but another mouse over effect should occur, showing an info box for the object. Until now I have just made the object as a button, and in the "over" box I have made the object glow, by defining it as a movie clip. However, this only works for the glow part. How do I add another mouse-over effect (which is delayed 1 sec) to the same object?
I have dabbled in flash now for a few years and can manage to do some basic things. I client asked if I can make sliding doors for the header of their website using this site as an example[url]...
Ugh how to start...Each thumbnail image is a link which enlarges to an easel to the right with a neat effect. If you move the cursor over a thumbnail it has a little effect on it (very transparent "snow" like on a TV screen) I don't know why Flash keeps "moving" (if you call it that) the snow effect on top of the thumbnails when I open the file at a later time. All I remember doing is just editing simple text and swapping one bitmap thats not even tied to the thumbnails.
I can still click the thumbnails and they open to the right just fine. I just don't get why the "effect/link" moves on top of the thumbnails. If I delete the snow it deletes every effect on the website so they won't enlarge to the right. I don't care if I lose the effect but I don't remember/know how to make each thumbnail a link so they open on the spot I want.
