The questions are: Is still SVG platform is widely adopted by browsers (without any plug-ins) are at least down the line of 8-10 months, any adoption is expected by browsers? Mar 22, 2011It appears that the flash variables are not accessible in Chrome when Javascript is turned off. Having said that, Youtube seem to work fine, when I test other sites like www.nhs.uk it does not seem to work, nor does mine.
I am using the most recent version of Chrome on Windows. Is there anything special that I need to target Chrome, how do I resolve this issue ?

Dec 20, 2010I'm trying to replace some contents in a website by using the following code:[code]The problem is that I have some flash embedded on the DOM and whenever I try to do the replacement the browser crashes.Somebody should thing that a prepend or append in the right place should be a better method
to achieve this, but the elements I'm trying to locate and replace are html comments and the append prepend methods do not seem to work with this kind of nodes so they have to be treated as literal strings.

The website and the app would offer the same experience and mostly the same functionality, for example the portfolio of a company or artist.iPhone and iPad Visitors of the Flash-based website would be informed that there is no Flash available and they would instead be offered a link to the free app in the App Store.Since the clients obviously do make whatever kind of buisness and profit in the physical world, I am afraid that such an app might be considered free advertisement and be rejected from the store.So, is the approach violating Apple's terms and conditions?Is it realistic to offer free apps of that kind on a regular basis, for example as a Flash-focussed agency with many existing clients and projects?

I can do this by using 3D effect already built in Flex but i want to do a bit more different. I want during rotating, there's another image called img2 appear on back of img1 (in default case, the image appear on the back is img1) and when rotating finish, the image will be img2.

Sep 24, 2008i'm having a strange image display problem where i load an external image onto the stage, then at runtime if i put a sprite over part of that image, say a pulldown menu covers the image temporarily, after the sprite goes away the image repaints with a 2 or 3 pixel offset from the uncovered part of the image.this happens regardless of any dpi adjustment in the image or the image format (.jpg, .png, .gif). this happens regardless of whether i load from an external file or from the library.

Flash 10 :: Display An Image If SWF Does Not Load
Jun 26, 2010We have multiple servers for different offices. SWF is copied to multiple offices and there is script to redirect the path depending on the user location. It works well except that it copies the SWF only once each day. Before it's available, we have to use the path to the staging server location that is only visible to the main office and identified users. If SWF is not copied over, users would see a blank page. I wonder if it's possible to have some kind of Javascript that will display an image (can be stored in the main office while accessed by all) if SWF can't be found. This would make it more usable during our update time.

Apr 26, 2011In Photoshop there is a tool that lets you adjust the levels of an image. I'd like to be able to do the same thing. I've seen examples online that show the levels but they are for each individual color channel (red, green, blue or alpha or CMYK) but not a combined view like in Photoshop Input Levels (see below).Also, as a bonus is there a way to find the best shadow and highlight input level settings, basically the settings the Auto level button determines?Update:I think I'm closer but I'm not sure. Sep 17, 2009I'm a designer working in tandem with a PHP programmer on a project where we will display a random image via flash from a selection of images stored on a database. Accompanying this image is a tagline and a path for a button and these variables are sent via a php script. The actionscript then picks up these vars via loadVars and displays them on screen - well, almost.
The tagline is displaying in the dynamic text box with no problems, but I'm struggling with how to display the image in the empty MC I've created (called 'pic') and also to attach the path to the button I've created (called 'projectURL_btn'). I'm fairly sure it's something fairly simple but I just can't crack it.
