I have created and published a flash movie for my website using Flash CS3 that I inserted into the website using Dreamweaver CS3, I did this by choosing insert, media, flash within DW.....upon upload of the site, it will not play, although I can play the html file and the swf file as a standalone, it will not play within my website.
I embedded a 48 frame flv file in my swf flash website. It works fine on my local computer but doesn't work on the web in browser firefox 3.5 .5. Hey, I just tried it 1 secocnd ago in Safari 4.0.3 and it works! So that means there must be a setting adjustment in firefox?
If you go to the website: [URL]. The white square is my embedded flash swf file, but as you can see it isn't playing. In Flash, when I test the movie, it plays beautifully. When I put it on my webpage, it's just blank. What bothers me is that I embed Flash swf files frequently with zero problems. The only difference is that this is a video. The swf file is properly uploaded to my server. I've attached the swf file for reference.
The html is: <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="320" height="240" id="FlashID" title="TDR"> <param name="movie" value="intro2.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <param name="wmode" value="opaque" /> [Code] ..... Attachments: intro2.swf (49.6 K)
I created a website in Flash that is suppose to play a video with sound when the site opens. My logo then fades in over the video as it plays. I added the logo on it own timeline. On the web, my logo plays with the fade in effect correctly but the video is missing. The site works fine when I preview it but not on the web.
I want to play a little "ding" sound when a new item is posted on my site. I'll leave the option to turn it off of course. Now should I do this with JavaScript? Would jQuery be helpful? Or should I use Flash? Looking for something that is widely compatible with different browsers.
I am oriented around html/css webdesign, and graphic design in photoshop, but know nothing of Flash, and i am attempting to learn!I have found a lot of complex tutorials but none that fit my specification. All i need to know is how to make an interface incorporating a play button which plays a .flv file. I already have a .flv file ready and the graphic i want to use for the button, but no idea how to begin. The .flv i want to play is a short 3-4 minute clip of someone talking including audio - i dont know the best way to play it and have heard of different options including embedding or somehow linking to an external flv file.I have tried various tutorials to try to achieve a simple interface with play button - i dont need a skin, rewind, forward, etc, just a play button and for it to go away while the video is playing, and perhaps a pause/stop button in the corner of the swf, over the top of the flv file itself. But I have had no success, mainly due to errors within the actionscript.
I have an flv movie clip imported into a nice swf skin and it looks and performs wonderful. When it's done I want to immediately navigate to the home page of my site..
I have a one page web site with 5 links to pseudo pages, so my problem is that on every part of the web site the swf files start playing. (Of course I understand that I can set the first one to play and the others to stop mode, but that doesn't solve the problem) What I try do do is this: *When the web site starts only the first pseudo page let the swf play. *When clicking a link to an other pseudo page that particular movie on the linked page starts playing. *All other swf movies don't play.
I'm trying to get a video to play in my flash movie on my website everything plays o.k except the video dose anyone know what I may need to do to get the video to play? P/S The video plays in the test browsers but not after I upload it and all of the files are uploaded.
I just added a mp3 song to my flash page and it plays well in preview and after it's published. But after I've uploaded it to my site along with the mp3 song, it doesn't play.I moved the mp3 onto the stage and that is how I set it up. Am I doing this wrong or do I need to code it somehow? If so, is there a simple way of doing this?
I am a complete novice when it comes to flash and web design in general. I have purchased a flash template [URL] which I have been able to customise to my liking for a small production company. I am now completely stuck when it comes to integrating videos within the site.
I understand that I need to have an Xml playlist and some action script that references the videos to the player, but I have no clue on what to do.
I am looking to have a video begin as soon as the site loads and then have the buttons on the orange bar allow the user to navigate between other flv files. I would possibly be interested in including firther links on the video samples page.
I have uploaded two videos to the website I work on. Both play perfectly in all browsers when I pull up the pages on my C drive, but just show up as a blank page on the website.[URL]
I wish to play a video content (in a container) from my website/ blog, when the page is loaded . Similar to that of youtube, dailymotion etc. I wish to give the actual Url to that container, which then plays the video in that location. The basic idea is to hide the actual URL from the user and make the person to view the video from the current page.
I have a variety of FLV files I wish to playback randomly within my Flash web site, so every time the page loads it could load any of the 6 files for example. I have created a MC for them to playback within, how can i use action script to select one of the files located in a folder at root and play it? Its my first post and I am quite new to Flash, using Flash 8 Professional. I look forward to hearing from you,

Can't figure it out. I've got a video file to stream from my published Flash file. Works great at home. All the files are in a single folder. I transfer the folder to a jump drive to bring it to school and when I load it up on the website I get this green/black filer on the play skin andthe video won't play. I double check to see if I can play it on my school machinestraight off the jump drive and it doesn't work either (it did on my home machine).
In my flash site there is a video player that I want to have an option of switching into full-screen mode. It's the video player that needs to be set to full screen, not the whole stage. How would I go about this?
when you play the short clips the sound of the site keeps playing in the background and the sound of the video plays over the top. Is there anyway to stop the website music when the clip starts to play and when stop or the clip finishes the website sound starts to play again. So you know what I mean the website is URL...
It is easy to be confused I'd bet but I will try to spell it out very simple I have this micro site that has 4 flv videos linked from where I uploaded them. The videos seem to work fine, if I type in the directory to the site itself.. (mysite.com/myswf.swf)
But when i utilize a preloader file, that loads the site, the videos do not load. I figure it is some linking break in using a preloader swf. Because the preloader has a different name, then the site's swf, how should I write out the directory to the flv files in the site flash file so it can load when using a preloader
I'm trying to make a Flash banner for a website and I'm having trouble with the play/pause part. Right now I've got it set up as 100 frames with 10 keyframes and 10 pictures and at the end it goes back to the beginning. Here's my AS:
[Code]...
How do I make it so that it only reads the first part of hte code and then reads the next after the user clicks it the second time?
I'm trying to create an flv player to play a single video from a website. I can't seem to resize the playback window. Altering the width just seems to move the same small window around the screen.
Ideally I'd like it to go full-screen or at least fill the browser window. However, I don't even seem to have basic control at the moment. What am I doing wrong here?
Also, (and maybe this is related), I couldn't import fl.video.* in Flex Builder without placing the component first in my library resource using Flash. Is it possible to bypass this step and import directly in Flex Builder?
to have an embedded .swf on a website that can play music located on the users computer? in other words, can a .swf have a dialog box that asks the user to select an .mp3 on their own computer? what i am hoping for is to be able to have users play their music and have the .swf act as a visualizer.
I have a single page web app that shows real time data using just HTML/CSS/JS - I have managed to keep Flash out of it.
Now I want to play a small chime but I don't want to make the site dependent on Flash. It is just a chime to indicate a new chat, so it is not a huge stumbling block but I would like to find a way.
Is this possible - I am guessing no since you need something local to play the sound
if I repeat this IIS topic, I couldn't find the answer to my problem any where on the internet. I installed FMS Dev 3.5 on Win 2003 Server with IIS 6.0 enabled. I don't have any issue with port 80 Listening, I used the IP address 192.168.0.21 for my web application (IIS) and 192.168.0.22 for FMS (I only have one network card and port 1935 is open under firewall). I can play the sample videos (RTMP, HTTP, and Dynamic Stream) using the Flash Media Start Screen (or from the location C: Program FilesAdobe Flash Media Server 3.5webrootindex.html) without any problem.
I then modified the IIS Default Website to look at the "webroot" folder (C: Program FilesAdobe Flash Media Server 3.5webroot). From IE, I can access the default web site by enter http://192.168.0.21/index.html. The website loads up correctly, and the RTMP video is playing perfectly. However, if I click Play Video (HTTP) or Dynamic Stream (tab), I receive "Connection Error. Please press Play to try again." I look at the log file (access.01.log) and see the error log "Session disconnect
