I needed to convert a simple graphic symbol into a movie because I wanted to give it depth using the (gradient bevel) filter effect. The movie has to appear at different sizes in my animation but the filter effect does not scale with the symbol. Is there a way to make this filter effect (gradient bevel) scale when I scale the symbol it is applied to?

View 4 RepliesI'm having trouble getting any of my adobe software to produce a drop shadow without pixelating the image. I'm working with FL but I've tried PS and IL and everytime it ends up looking like an 8 bit graphic. It happens with all the preset effects. The laptop I'm using has a 4 gigs of RAM and a core duo with a 512 MB graphics card How can I set my software to produce the highest quality effects?

The results are currently using a TileList & itemRenderer to display, and now I'd like to add an animation effect when the user filters their results. I know that you can use the itemsChangeEffect to create an animation effect when the user drags and moves result itmes. So I'd like to know if there's a way to create a similar effect triggered by the filtering on the comboboxes?

I'm building some navigation that extends all the way from left to right across my SWF. When the window resizes, I'd like the nav buttons to get wider but not have the text on the buttons get wider.
The buttons themselves are rectangles with a vertical gradient and a stroke around the outside. I'm using 9-slice scaling so the stroke doesn't scale, but the middle (gradient) gets wider or narrower.What'd be great is to be able to select an object or layer and say "don't scale, even if the rest of this movie clip scales". Is there a way to do that, or will I have to do it via actionscript?
i have a diagonal movieclip that I am trying to scale along with the background video. The background video scales perfect, I am attaching the diagonal movieclip (br in the code as bottomright) with addChild
Instead of scaling with the window, it seems to repeat such as the image is displaying. this is the main section of the code that is doing the scaling

I am trying to achieve an effect of scaling a movie clip on click...very similar to [URL] When the user clicks on See, Hear, Play and Shop boxes, the boxes expand. I have created a box movieclip that has a bar on top. This bar is a movie clip inside the box movieclip. When i try to scale the main box movieclip, the internal bar movie clip scales as well. How to stop this?

View 3 RepliesI have a peice of video that I exported as a swf from after effects. Now that i've imoprted it into flash it's broken down into a squence of images. The problem is I need to move the video (Pics) but obviuosly I can only move 1 image at a time and that's a real pain as there is nearly 80 of them. I really need a way of moving all of them at the same time. Highlighting all the frames and moving them doesn't work.

In any of the animation programs I've used before, including After Effects, parenting is a simple operation. ...But it seems that in flash, it's more complex. So far, I am beginning to understand that it has to do with nested scenes, or nested time lines (which may be the same thing?)... So my question is... View 5 RepliesFrom some reason when I'm importing a PNG sequence onto stage, it's loading all of the PNGs into one frame instead of distributing them into their own keyframes like it's supposed to. I've seen this problem posted before. Anybody have a solution for this? I've also seen that people have posted that Flash CS3 HATES After Effects PNGs....how bizarre....I'm starting to figure that out.

But today I need a website topper (just a little motion graphic 850X226) I made my graphic that I like in After Effects, but now I need to put it in flash so it will play smoothly as a website title.
