I'm having a very basic problem, im trying to do a slow zoom/scale of an image (jpg), in this case its a company logo. the problem im having, as you'll see is that this causes edge effects, they are shakey/aliased.almost looks like some sort of antialiasing is required.
View 3 RepliesI am having a rather odd issue with scaling down large images. When scaled down quite a bit, the images' right most edge of pixels stretches across the area that should just be the image. All I am doing, is loading an image using the loader class, and scaling it down as a thumbnail. One very odd thing about this issue, is that if I move the parent object x position to the left, it starts to correct itself.
View 9 RepliesI needed to convert a simple graphic symbol into a movie because I wanted to give it depth using the (gradient bevel) filter effect. The movie has to appear at different sizes in my animation but the filter effect does not scale with the symbol. Is there a way to make this filter effect (gradient bevel) scale when I scale the symbol it is applied to?

Most of the objects perform perfectly, but the ones on the edge of the stagedisappear when I export to video. So i need to make a group of objects i can make into a movie clip and than inside that movie clip make an animation that plays the squirrel running. i will pause here to ask two things i dont know how to do i want the squirrel to have an animation when standing still where it flicks its tail (like a real squirrel would). and also how would i flip the squirrel so when the left key is pressed it points left and when the right arrow is pressed it faces left? and my main question when it reaches the edge of the stage the extended background that runs off stage moves over to reavel more content. as well as not have the squirrel run off stage? in short i am using the squirrel to view the full pages content.

But today I need a website topper (just a little motion graphic 850X226) I made my graphic that I like in After Effects, but now I need to put it in flash so it will play smoothly as a website title. It is importing at WAY too large of a file size when I import it into my website as a movie (>2MB) And how to make it into flash.
I tried "exporting" my comp as a .swf but the swf isn't playing parts of my video are not playing (certain effects and lights). what I need to do to get my title bar to play on a website perfectly.
So I'm designing a website in flash. I want users to be able to mouseover an image OR text to create the desired effect. The idea is a group of pictures that go from black and white to color if you mouse over them OR the text (links) below. So I need to somehow link the rollover effect.

View 1 Repliesive made a project of equalizers playing going up and down as e.q do.when i export the swf file its plays perfect but when i import it into after fx the e.q are static there is no motion.just the objects that are not masked are animating.
View 5 Replieswhile ago I made a created a basic effect in Flash CS4 whereby a selection of logos on my web-page gradually disappeared (in the same spot, not shrinking in size first or any other of the effects displayed in the motion presets) think this was done by some kind of preset but it doesn't seem to be in the motion presets panel. I can not seem to remember how it was done and I can't find the relevant settings. I don't know ActionScript so it was definitely a preset.Enclosed are some screen shots of the effect that I mean (stages every few seconds until they completely disappear).

I make stop motion films and am tired of having the ameteur look of not having effects. I am trying to learn how to add backgrounds using greenscreens, maybe put images/videos(animated and/or realistic) of things like fire, lasers, etc. and I'm just wondering, does Adobe supply some sort of program that could allow me to do this? I just don't even know where to begin. I've taken a course in Flash animation and so I'm familiar with what it can do, I'm just not sure if I'm able to add images I've created in Flash to a stop motion film in another editing program.

so as you can see it is pretty complex. I want to import as much as I can in vector so that it saves on load time since i already built it in vectors. is it possible to import most of it in vector then just rastor the stuff that might not translate like gaussian blur etc?
I am a Trainee Web Designer. I have done a few major projects for websites and stuff using alot of Adobe Programs but i have this job where i need to make a map of a school with rollover mouse effects. So when the mouse rolls over the Admin Building on the map, a large picture of the Admin Building comes up. Then when the mouse is moved away the images closes. I need to do that with about 8 images. I have one main image which is an arial of the school, then there is different sections that i need to make 'active'
How can i go about doing this? i have looked for tutorials for ages now but they are either outdated or too advanced for me, i just need a tutorial that can show me how to achieve my goal. i cotton onto things very quickly so i dont get lost unless things get too advanced or there is a lack of explanation.
I'm having a real bad time with Flash CS5, mostly by how it is exporting stuff and is unable to seemingly work with After Effects CS5, the other big program I use in my workspaceIt seems that anytime I include text into my Flash file in CS5, I am alerted that the text layout has been exported to an external file at which point it will not be imported correctly with any animation in After Effects I've read that this has something to do with the new CS5 TLF mode.

I purchased couple of samples and it turns out its just sequence of images from the video i guess. So my question what video programs are used to create this and what effects packs are availible for flash or that video programs i rather buy stack than pay per each.

View 2 Repliessome of you have been trying the prerelease of Air for Android like myself. Its all great and easy peasy to export the apps to my phone but it seems to be ridiculously slow even for seemingly simple scripts.
This is what i'm trying to run at the moment and the app times out before it gets running (All the apps do get running eventually but only after the time out timer could have run over multiple times).

From what I can see theres nothing actually wrong with the code from what I can see but it just takes so frickin' long to load. If I make an app with some equally simple animations it loads almost instantly. I am aware that this is only a prerelease version of the software and the documentation does say that hardware acceleration has not been added yet but whenever I watch the videos up on youtube of the Adobe team making amazing apps with obviously buckets of script running smoothly on their phone I get annoyed
P.S The processor on my phone isn't the problem either (Nexus One Eclair )
I'm trying to write code that starts rotating a movieclip at a certain speed, and slows it down over a certain time.I got it to work, but my code is a little flimsy, plus a bit complex. I figured there must be a simpler way, and I've tried all manners of timers and rotations, including using Greensock code, but I can't get it to work.I want it to start of rotating at 3.6 degrees every 0.005 seconds (2 rotations per second), and increase the 0.005 time each 3.6 degree increment until it takes about 1 second to rotate 3.6 degrees.

The problem is that after calling ( _root.ballInHole.start(); ) my animation slow down. Im just changing position of 32 mc objects with no timeline on OnEnterFrame event of main timeline. When I'm not calling the sound then is everything perfect and fast as intended.
I´ve done an iPhone app with flash, just a simple rss feeder but it is extremely slow, is it suppose to be so or can I do it faster?
