Professional :: Importing CS5 Flash SWFs To After Effects?

Apr 25, 2011

I'm having a real bad time with Flash CS5, mostly by how it is exporting stuff and is unable to seemingly work with After Effects CS5, the other big program I use in my workspaceIt seems that anytime I include text into my Flash file in CS5, I am alerted that the text layout has been exported to an external file at which point it will not be imported correctly with any animation in After Effects I've read that this has something to do with the new CS5 TLF mode.

Any Way Of Importing Text Effects Into Flash

May 31, 2010

I got a web banner made from a person in india and I was trying to examine the fla file. In the library there are four .swf movie files and I don't think they were made in the adobe flash software as they would have taken all day to do. Is there a program out there that can quickly make cool text effects with a transparent background and then be able to import the finished txt effect into adobe flash and use in the fla file?

The banner I am relating to can be downloaded here [URL] and the text effects that I am talking about are
Movie1.swf
Movie2.swf
Movie3.swf
Movie4.swf

Importing PNG Sequence From After Effects

Jul 20, 2009

From some reason when I'm importing a PNG sequence onto stage, it's loading all of the PNGs into one frame instead of distributing them into their own keyframes like it's supposed to. I've seen this problem posted before. Anybody have a solution for this? I've also seen that people have posted that Flash CS3 HATES After Effects PNGs....how bizarre....I'm starting to figure that out.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Build Complex Animation With Tweens Or After Effects SWFs?

Jul 3, 2009

I found myself wondering whether it would be wiser for a person to construct complex animations (using multiple eases, transparency effects etc) in flash using the tween systems, or rather to create it in software like After Effects and export SWFs with transparency. I would imagine that for short, but complex animations, AE would be best because of the small SWF size of fewer frames being rendered. Another wonder I have would be whether creating complex tweens on a Flash timeline, then converting them to AS3 would be a processing nightmare. Should Tweens be restricted to simple tasks? Would anybody like to take a speculative 'stab' at the pros and cons of each method?

I bought Production Premium so that I can make movies.  But today I need a website topper (just a little motion graphic 850X226) I made my graphic that I like in After Effects, but now I need to put it in flash so it will play smoothly as a website title.  It is importing at WAY too large of a file size when I import it into my website as a movie (>2MB) And how to make it into flash.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Importing The Consecutive Swfs?

Feb 3, 2010

[URL]I'm designing my own photography site and am trying to produce something along the lines of contemporary photography websites (big images). The point being that I want the images/swf large enough to fill the ever growing trend for big monitors. This is where my problem begins - I want to have a slideshow of 5 images from each of the areas I cover.. simple enough sure. But, if I produce the slideshow within the main swf - the file size is something like 6 mb - which is jsut a bit too big and takes a bit too long to preload.

So I decided to make each image in the slideshow a seperate swf and import consecutively. The problem is that I need the external swf to trigger/import the next swf.I have had some success with importing to levels... but I need the swfs to import into a mc_holder because it needs to sit below my nav buttons and title.so I have this script to call in my slideshow to my holder.

"loadMovie("slideshow.swf" , "clipholder2");"

At the end of slideshow.swf is this "unloadMovie(this);" which unloads my movie. What I can't do is get slideshow.swf to import slideshow2.swf into my 'clipholder2'..

ActionScript 2.0 :: Importing External Swfs?

Mar 24, 2003

I've incountered a problem that I need help figuring out...I'm using dynamic buttons to load external swfs into an area within an interface on level0. There is an actionScript on a button that has been duplicated dynamically..The external swf is loaded into a host mc called "subpage_mc". The swf that should be loaded, is indicated within an array in the first frame of _level0.

Here's actionScript on button before dynamic duplication:_level0.loadMovie(link,"subpage_mc");

The script works, but it replaces the interfacce completely on leve0. I want the new swf to load into level0 and for the interface to be visible at all times, not to be replaced. Does this issue have to do with instance stacking order? How should I make sure that this doesn't happen?

I can not seem to remember how it was done and I can't find the relevant settings. I don't know ActionScript so it was definitely a preset.Enclosed are some screen shots of the effect that I mean (stages every few seconds until they completely disappear).

ActionScript 3.0 :: Importing Swfs - Music Doesnt Play?

Aug 7, 2009

I made a music Player swf and it works properly by itself.I recently tried to load it into my main FLA for my website by using Import to Library, and then I dragged it from there into my canvas. For whatever reason, upon rendering it does not work at all, it shows up but none of the functions work and the music doesnt play. Also I tried doing it like this:

I made a preloader that would load the Swf and it actually worked and the functions were all there, however there were 2 problems.First problem was that I did not know how to control where it loaded so it was over my main text and not in the right area.Second problem, for whatever reason the preloader would re run and load the SWF again everytime a function went off (like clicking on one of the buttons or rolling over something that had a color tween) which resulted in it loading like a bunch of the same swf and being a problem.

The flash swfs import assets from a separate flash swf used as a shared library. I'm using 1 swf loader in flex to keep 1 flash swf loaded at a time.Loading the first swf works fine, but loading subsequent swfs generates an error in importing from the shared library swf.

Here's an example of an error:

Professional :: Importing Swf To Flash?

May 4, 2010

I have a swf presentation with 28 pages. Each page contains a swf movie. It was originally done in 2005 with Flash Studio MX 2004 . In 2005 I imported a swf movie to each page and it all worked perfectly. The filesize was small and exe-filesize was 1,2 MB. Now when I have done small modifications to the swf in Flash CS4 and I try to import it to the main fla then it imports dozens of bitmaps and other stuff. After adding just that one swf exe-filesize is 5 MB and the swf is not even working. it is just a still.

Why canīt I just add the swf like before and it will work? I canīt/donīt want to do the loadmovie-thingy because this exe will go to a client who will share it over and over in their network. Once the file has external files it will be unusable immediately. It has to be in one file just like before. Do I have to go back to Flash Studio MX 2004 to make my modifications if I need to have just one file? Flash CS4 canīt import SWF directly anymore?

I`m interpreting a large piece of MS Word text into movie shorts I mean to organize into an interactive `newspaper` style presentation that can be perused online. With `web-presentation`, I`m a true novice; so my first crucial question is: How, or can, I import text from MS Word into a Flash Film/Presentation, with all its fonts+colours intact? My rusty logic is that D-Weaver seems kinder to importing text, but is designed to make websites; I only want to make web-presentations, which I assume can inhabit websites such as MySpace.

Professional :: Importing Audio To Flash CS5

I'm having a lot of trouble determining the cause of this problem... I have an uncompressed .wav file, and when I attempt to import the file into Flash Professional CS5, something... happens to it. The audio quality is reduced somewhat, but more importantly, the pitch drops at least an octave! I have checked to make sure the file is correct. I tried messing with the Sound Properties window for that in the library. I tried re-importing the sound normally, and using the Sound Properties box to do the same. No matter what I do, I can't get Flash to maintain the sound of the original file.

Apr 26, 2011

ok i have used the code snippets in cs5 that grabs a .swf online and shows it in the flash file. However this is not exactly what i want.

Instead of the command triggering from a click i want the movie to load automatically. How?

Also is there any way of getting a .swf file and importing it into a new flash document? i have tried all the methods out but the .wf does not actually work properly. I cant just copy the timelines over as i dont have access to the one file all i have is tthe .swf -

So either i grab it from my server or if there is a way to import it into the flash that actually works.

Professional :: Importing MP3s Into Flash CS5.5?

Sep 26, 2011

I have been using the new version of Flash since it came out in May or June and have had no problems with sound file import. Now today all of a sudden I can't import MP3s - I get an error that says it can't import the file, but nothing further to help me diagnose the problem. I have downloaded these from the web from a company that records files - the same company I have used before with no problems. The old files from them still work, but the new files, and recent MP3s I've downloaded won't work. I tried downloading on another machine with Windows NT but that didn't work either. I have had a programmer work with the MP3s to make sure they were indeed formatted as MP3, and those files won't import either. I am on Windows 7 Pro. I also turned off my firewall in case that was the problem, and still no resolution.
