ive made a project of equalizers playing going up and down as e.q do.when i export the swf file its plays perfect but when i import it into after fx the e.q are static there is no motion.just the objects that are not masked are animating.

View 3 RepliesI have just learnt about event propagation and have made a few successful tests. However, I have encountered a problem when trying to use event propagation with several MovieClips that are masked and nested in a movieclip. The display list like so:
hd_cont > cndMask > cndThumbs > 9 movieclips with instance names box0, box1, etc etc.
I am attempting to scale the 9 movieclips at the bottom.

I have a drag and drop project using bitmaps that were masked using fireworks. All bitmaps are PNG (fireworks files) and one object is GIF. All objects were converted to movie clips.
PROBLEM: All movie clips from PNG's can be dragged, but they can't be dropped. However, the GIF movie clip responds to both drag and drop.ActionScript worked when all movie clips had GIF's. Is this problem because they objects were masked or for any other reason?
Note: Objects were masked because their border is very fussy and cropping them doesn't help with the quality of their image.

I've been trying to figure out a way to have movie clip effects only operate WHILE the two objects are colliding with each-other. It seems after they collide, however, They no longer need to be in contact to execute the supposedly conditional command. In an attempt to get around "hit Test" I made a fake hitTest, below:

I have a DateChooser component that is on a masked layer along with TextFields. I can set Character Embedding for the TextFields and they render fine, but the DateChooser does not.

I am trying to create a very simple 'fruit/slot machine' effect using moving numbers, and a mask.I want the numbers to start at 0,000, spinning through to 1,700. When I preview or publish, the masked images are missing completely. What could I be doing wrong? A couple additional notes - the layer with the graphic (symbol) is rotated and the layer above it (mask) is also rotated at an angle. I don't see how that should matter at all...

But today I need a website topper (just a little motion graphic 850X226) I made my graphic that I like in After Effects, but now I need to put it in flash so it will play smoothly as a website title. It is importing at WAY too large of a file size when I import it into my website as a movie (>2MB) And how to make it into flash.
I tried "exporting" my comp as a .swf but the swf isn't playing parts of my video are not playing (certain effects and lights). what I need to do to get my title bar to play on a website perfectly.
I've created a small banner ad and need to export it as an animated gif. The problem is, when I open the gif after exporting it, there's no animation. The way the animation is set up is 1 frame on the main timeline, and a scrolling movie clip as the background. There is no actionscript at all in the file.

Problem: I created a flash app (simple 1 screen with text that links to pdf(s) nothing fancy) When published as a .exe and .app. The .exe works but the .app does not. The Flash player icon just bouces in the Mac dock.
So I'm designing a website in flash. I want users to be able to mouseover an image OR text to create the desired effect. The idea is a group of pictures that go from black and white to color if you mouse over them OR the text (links) below. So I need to somehow link the rollover effect.

View 1 RepliesI'm trying to export a fla file to a mov file in Flash CS4. My fla file is 152 mb. It is a 5 minute presentation I created with a 39 second f4v file (video clip) in the file. I go to Export / Export Movie. I select Quicktime (mov). I keep the default settings and it starts to cycle through. It gets about half way and I get a message "The export operation failed because it ran out of memory" I'm running this on a Mac Pro, System 10.5.8. I have 4 GB of memory. My HD is 232 GB with 155 GB available.
View 7 RepliesI've made a flash image with the gif extention with Adobe Flash CS4 Pro. I have set the WMODE to tranparent and i've set the Transparency at the giv tab to transparent to. But now comes the difficult part. Each time when I export the image the background is still white.
What did I do wrong? and how can I fix it?
I am working on a mac but my question is what files do I need to export out of CS5 to include in my upload besides the index SWF and index html? Do I have to export each individual page? Each individual photo? each individual button, ect? Or is there a main folder I can export and up load to my server. Also for all the photos I have put into the project, do I need to upload them as a seperate folder, if so, is there a specific name I should label it so it registers?

View 3 RepliesI have been useing fonts like A.C.M.E secret agent, Crashlanding, Feast of flesh, mouth breather and so on.When i export the project all the text becomes Times new roman on other computers but mine. Or let me re phrase that to make sure there is no confusion.When the project is viewed on my computer the font looks fine but when viewed on any other computer the font is Times new roman and the sizes are completely messed up.

The script works good and the nicely formed xml is traced out in the output window. But i would like to export it to an independent XML file instead of the output window.
View 1 RepliesI have a flash file with a solid colour layer over a part of my visual that I have sent to 60% opacity using the alpha colour effect. All looks great in flash, but when I publish the file as a swf - the colour block is solid. I'm assuming I'm using the wrong export options, but don't really know the difference between them all. My flash file contains only one frame, with an flv component, a movie clip and as3 code prompting various animations based on the cue points contained in the flv file.
I've tried exporting to .mov using both export options ( "when last frame is reached" and "setting duration of the flv video" ) and in both cases the export is not successful.
My question is: Given my particular setup - is this actually possible ?
I have created a movie in flash8 and when testing it as a swf file everything is fine, however when I expoxed the movie to avi format the sound secuence does not run at the same time as the movie, in other words the sound is running slower than the movie?I have the frame rate set at 12.0 fps and have tried exporting in different formates. As an example one formate I have used is Microsoft MPEG4 and changed the frame rate in the settings to match as 12.0 fps but the sound is always running slower behind the movie?
