Jul 29, 2011Ive stumbled upon a few sites that have free sound FX's but the ones I want which I wuld think are the easiest to get I cant find.I want a sound for when someone clicks the right thing, like a under a sec tiriring or something like when you kill a guy in Leauge of Legends or something like that and also one for when you click the wrong thing like an windows warning ut a little different, yet all the sites and SFX I come across are for everything but those.

ActionScript 3.0 :: Add Realtime Sound Effects?
Aug 14, 2009I'm playing around with the new Sound API in flash player 10 and I managed to load a mp3 from HD, extract it's bytearray and let it play. While playing I can play around with the pitch in realtime.
Now I want to add distortion, bass and echo on the sound, the only thing is I'm not a music specialist. I don't know the mathematics behind the effects.
ActionScript 3.0 :: Handling Sound Effects In Several Classes?
May 13, 2009I'm working on a pause feature for my game and the only issue giving me trouble is how to pause/restart the sound effects and music that is being played in various classes.
I do understand how to record the position when stopping and then play from the new position. All code examples are based on a single sound being played at a time.
I have multiple channels to handle music and for various sound effect categories (so the volume may be controlled separately).
Currently, all of the channels are all in a single class but the sound effects they are assigned (.play commands) are executed within each class (Bullet, Enemy, Tank, etc...)
I'm sure other developers have experience with sound effects in various classes as well... so how did you handle pausing multiple channels and then restarting all of the same sounds that were playing previously?

Apr 22, 2011my sister asked me to do smth for her that let me scratch my head: she wants to make a signature text in a forum and wants to add sound to this signature so when her post is shown the sound will play in background together with her text signature.
I'm not sure this could be done in flash? is there a way to have some jpeg image with sound effect? or should it be a video? maybe forums restrict adding a flash doc as a signature?

Nov 30, 2003I have an animation that plays a couple of different sound effects (depending on what button is pushed). I have a checkbox that I would like to use to turn on/off the sound effects. I have read somewhere that it is possible to set up sort of a global sound that if stopped, stops all sound effects. I have tried to set this sort of thing up but no success . When I test getValue() of my checkbox it seems to work (defaulted to true) but nothing happens when I uncheck the box. What am I doing wrong? p.s. In what forum would I make the suggestion to have a new category for just sound problems? Does anyone else think it would be a good thing to sequester sound issues in their own category?

May 28, 2009I have made a javascript/flash system to play sound effects on an AJAX-based game I have made. For some reason, on some systems (it appears to be just Firefox 3 on Windows XP), users can only hear the sound effects play while the window is in focus. If they minimize the window or are looking at a different window the sound effects don't play.

Jul 23, 2011I've been working on a flash game, and recently added in sound effects. However, the sound effects only seem to play the first half-second of the audio file whenever I call on them to. I have been using the standard code.

But the sound effect only plays through a small amount of the audio. Also, the sound effects are not very stable, and will only play the butchered audio if there is some time in between clicking on several buttons. The odd thing is that I took the same code to another flash file, and the audio played through all the way with no problem, not requiring any additional time to play the sound effect again. I used the same code to load the sounds, which is

Oct 22, 2010I am trying to play sounds in my Flash gameAt times, the game runs slowly and the sound effects began to lagI noticed that all of the sound effects that are played using AS3 sound and soundChannel objects (which are held in an array and are triggered by a Click Event listener function) are lagging worse that sound effects which are played from within MovieClips timelines (These MovieClips are played using gotoAndPlay() which is called by a different Click Event listener function.) I am wondering why this is happening. I assume that anything done within Actionscript would be processed faster that anything done on a timeline.

Jul 8, 2011I bought Production Premium so that I can make movies. But today I need a website topper (just a little motion graphic 850X226) I made my graphic that I like in After Effects, but now I need to put it in flash so it will play smoothly as a website title. It is importing at WAY too large of a file size when I import it into my website as a movie (>2MB) And how to make it into flash.
I tried "exporting" my comp as a .swf but the swf isn't playing parts of my video are not playing (certain effects and lights). what I need to do to get my title bar to play on a website perfectly.

Jul 15, 2010while ago I made a created a basic effect in Flash CS4 whereby a selection of logos on my web-page gradually disappeared (in the same spot, not shrinking in size first or any other of the effects displayed in the motion presets) think this was done by some kind of preset but it doesn't seem to be in the motion presets panel. I can not seem to remember how it was done and I can't find the relevant settings. Professional :: Add Effects To A Stop Motion Using Adobe
Jul 25, 2010I make stop motion films and am tired of having the ameteur look of not having effects. I am trying to learn how to add backgrounds using greenscreens, maybe put images/videos(animated and/or realistic) of things like fire, lasers, etc. and I'm just wondering, does Adobe supply some sort of program that could allow me to do this? I just don't even know where to begin. I've taken a course in Flash animation and so I'm familiar with what it can do, I'm just not sure if I'm able to add images I've created in Flash to a stop motion film in another editing program.

Professional :: Make A Map With Rollover Mouse Effects
Jan 5, 2011I am a Trainee Web Designer. I have done a few major projects for websites and stuff using alot of Adobe Programs but i have this job where i need to make a map of a school with rollover mouse effects. So when the mouse rolls over the Admin Building on the map, a large picture of the Admin Building comes up. Then when the mouse is moved away the images closes. I need to do that with about 8 images. I have one main image which is an arial of the school, then there is different sections that i need to make 'active'
How can i go about doing this? i have looked for tutorials for ages now but they are either outdated or too advanced for me, i just need a tutorial that can show me how to achieve my goal. i cotton onto things very quickly so i dont get lost unless things get too advanced or there is a lack of explanation.

Apr 25, 2011I'm having a real bad time with Flash CS5, mostly by how it is exporting stuff and is unable to seemingly work with After Effects CS5, the other big program I use in my workspaceIt seems that anytime I include text into my Flash file in CS5, I am alerted that the text layout has been exported to an external file at which point it will not be imported correctly with any animation in After Effects I've read that this has something to do with the new CS5 TLF mode.

Oct 23, 2010there are many flash with obviously too complicated video effects thsat impossible to create in Flash itself even with most advanced actionscript. I purchased couple of samples and it turns out its just sequence of images from the video i guess. May 21, 2010I have a flash header that was never completed because the guy I hired took people's money and ran. So now I even wonder if what he said could work with my flash header is true or not. But, usually there is always a way to make it work.I have a flash header that does two important things: 1) Upon entering the site, it loads and plays an audio track 2) Makes an animal noise when you hover over each animal menu item. (not sure if I'm able to give a link to it or not on here. If I able to and someone would like to see it let me know)I want to know if my flash header can support the following addionalunctionality/changes:1) Currently, it loads everytime a page is selected. I only want it to load the one time of entering the site because the audio gets annoying. Set a cookie maybe?2) But, I do not want to turn the audio off completely because I still want the hover over each menu item sound.
3) Have a link on it to allow them to select to turn on / off the sound completely. It currently has that, but only for the current page. Once you select another page, the audio is back to on.4) Lastlly, is there a way for it to detect that someone doesn't support flash and to display an html version of it? And can flash create a html version from my fla file?I don't know much about flash (but am learning) so I'm not sure if I'll be able to do this myself. However, I want to find out if my flash header will even work this way before I invest the time learning it just for these changes. I know it will be pretty deep with script code, but I'm hoping I could find base code already available for these features.
