Professional :: Motion - Satellite To Be Masked Behind The Planet
Jan 20, 2010
ive got a file uploaded for all you to see,i cant seem to find a way for the satellite to be masked behind the planet.although i think with the motion im on the right track,im stuck on the masking.
If I perform a motion tween along a curved path, Flash CS4 does not allow to change the curves to "corner point" or "linear" in the motion editor. URL...
I have a DateChooser component that is on a masked layer along with TextFields. I can set Character Embedding for the TextFields and they render fine, but the DateChooser does not.
I am trying to create a very simple 'fruit/slot machine' effect using moving numbers, and a mask.I want the numbers to start at 0,000, spinning through to 1,700. The '1' and '7' work fine, but the two '00' disappear during the tween, then reappear at the end (I have a 'stop' in place).I have the spinning numbers as a 'movie clip', and I have tried uisng 4 different number clips (at the moment 1 clip is duplicated).
I'm trying to create a flash application which displayes 20 locations on a U.S map. Right now I have a satellite image of the U.S, and if you click on a location it zooms and you see a close up. I am achieving this effect by playing a short flv video captured from google earth. The first frame is identical to the map image, then it rapidly zooms in (about 1 second) to the location, the last frame is the same as the satellite imagery of the location.
It looks pretty good, but each zoom video is 1 to 2mb to achieve video quality which matches the satellite imagery and looks good with such extreme movement. The problem is the flash presentation is too large with all the videos, can I achieve the same affect with images? Something like a deep zoom effect? Is an image zoom technique practical considering I'm zooming into the whole country image way beyond a single pixel of the image all the way down to satellite imagery? it doesn't have to be in flash, but I can't use the Google Maps API because it has to work offline.
ive made a project of equalizers playing going up and down as e.q do.when i export the swf file its plays perfect but when i import it into after fx the e.q are static there is no motion.just the objects that are not masked are animating.
I have a simple static text MovieClip that is masked in the timeline the traditional way - layer above the text layer has a rectangle and that layer is set to mask. This looks fine in the timeline while authoring. As soon as I publish it as Flash 9, the text disappears

is there a logic explanation why my flash projects when exported as an avi or quicktime etc etc the objects that were masked are not animated? and what do i have to do in order for project to be as i see it when i test the movie and it appears fine.

is it possible that i can make an elipse orbit in a 360 like a planet with out it looking like a flat papper?i want to make it seem 3d as if rendered.i want to import the globe of our world and make it go around.
This has me stumped and frustrated! I have some simple bitmaps that I've masked with graphics. When I use the playhead to watch the movie, it looks fine. When I preview or publish, the masked images are missing completely. What could I be doing wrong? A couple additional notes - the layer with the graphic (symbol) is rotated and the layer above it (mask) is also rotated at an angle. I don't see how that should matter at all...
I'm working on generating some planets and moons for a 2d project im working on, these will generate planets procedurally that look somewhat realistic.
Anybody got any tips on improving this or optimising this?, it looks very flat i feel.
I try to convert a game made in another language in AS 3. So far things went good but...I am having a problem on how to implement some things. For example I want to make an animation of a planet spinning ( from some couple og images )actionscript ( I would prefer to set speed of frames from code at one point )? An example would be nice or some ideas. But if it cant
I've created a sphere, and used a texture of Earth to create a rotating planet (using movie material). Is it possible to add buttons or other interactive objects to the material itself that will be clickable? Is there any other method for doing this (for example if I want something to happen when the user clicks on Australia...)
I have tried to find tutorials on how to use Flash CS5 motion presets, but could not find anything in english. Can some one please point me to any? I type in text on the screen and while the text is selected, I pick smoke from the preset menue, and I got the following error... I even made the text into a symbol.
The motion contained color, filter and / or 3D properties that cannot be applied to the selected objects(s). The unsupported properties were removed.
after I create a motion tween, why is it that I don't always see the path of that tween? It seems that I've got to shuffle stuff around a bit before I actually see the colored path. Is there some trick to this?
I would like to ask the experts for help. In a flash movie I want three lines of text where I want line1 to appear with a preset motion, then line2 directly below line1 to appear with a preset motion, then line3 directly below line2 to appear with preset motion. I want to have the smallest possible fla file.
I really like the motion editor in CS4. A lot is easier than before, particularly working with ease. But I wounder how you use the custom curve when having a complicated motion with a lot of keyframes. In programs like AE it's easy to select a key and tell if it's going to be a easy in/out or both, and then I select next key and tell how that key should ease. In Flash CS4 I allways get a easy curve that range the entire tween. Is the workflow to brake everything apart so you tween every single motion, or is it another way doing it?
im looking for any full body motion tracking software that is free or free to try. im trying turn my pc into something like microsoft kinect. if anyone knows of this please send me any info or a download link.
I am trying to move the instance in a particular path, but by the time I finish defining the entire path, the first few points all go astray. I then completed only 5 change points, but by then the 2nd, 3rd and 4th point were all astray, as in, not in the position I had originally defined them.
I am very frustrated with this as I have been working on this file for ages now, and nothing of this sort happened before. I have redone the tween atleast five times but it still acts weird by the time i move ahead a few frames.
I created a motion tween. I stried to put an action script, stop();, at the end of the tween but it says "Current selection cannot have actions applied to it.". How do I stop the tween then?
I am new to flash and working on creating a simple animation. I have the objects ready, but problem is I can't seem to get motion tween working. Following this, I tried a very basic motion tween just increasing the size of text from one frame to another and can't get even this to work. I followed the basic steps, converted the text objects to symbol etcetera. What is seen is for frames 1-9 there is no change and in frame 10 there is sudden change in size. I also notice that there is no 'arrow' observed in the tween as shown in a sample tutorial.
I'm finding it useful to add labels to my timeline so I can easily see where animations start and stop for different symbols. However, I can not seem to label sections that are motion tweened. The entire motion tween section is selected when I just click on any section of it. Even if I use CTRL + click to select a single frame, there is no option for "label" in the properties window like there are for other frames. It shows the motion tween options. So is there a simple way to label a motion tween?
I have an object with 500 Frames. I gave it a Motion Tween. Now I want to cut it down to 100 frames, without changing the Tween duration. Usually you can insert a blank keyframe, or remove the last 400 frames on that layer. But since it's a Motion Tween you cannot?
WTH is going on with Flash's timeline editor, this is ridiculously unintuitive.
i am using CS4 on a PC, and I have created my motion guide layers as I normally do, created a path, but when I scrub the playhead, the symbol just goes from point A to point B without follwing my guide. Also they are not snapping to the guide. I have not done a motion guide in a while, what am I missing here. Also where is the pallete to turn on object orienting?
I have created a motion tween in Flash and want to slow the speed of the tween towards the end, so my image doesnt stop suddenly. I applied a slow ease which was working previously but has now decided to stop working and I cannot get it to work again. The strange thing is when I change the ease value from 100 to -100, so the ease is applied to the start of the motion, that works fine, but when I change it back to 100 the ease wont apply to the end of the motion
I'm trying to create a Motion Tween where at a certain point the initial image it's replaced by another one.I've tryied to do "Swap Symbol" but the symbol changes in all the tween.
I have a school project where I need to animate a stop-motion video. We used a Canon 7D to take pictures and I imported them in lightroom. What I need to do now is take all of these frames and put them together to make the video. I tried manually doing it, but it came out all shaky. There has to be an easier way then to manually do it like that.
