Professional :: Where Did My Default Motion Presets Go
May 27, 2010If I open the motion presets in the menu I get the window but a blank space and no list of presets, did I delete this somehow?

Feb 22, 2011I have tried to find tutorials on how to use Flash CS5 motion presets, but could not find anything in english. Can some one please point me to any? I type in text on the screen and while the text is selected, I pick smoke from the preset menue, and I got the following error... I even made the text into a symbol.
The motion contained color, filter and / or 3D properties that cannot be applied to the selected objects(s). The unsupported properties were removed.
Professional :: Motion Presets, Stage Size, And Defaults?
Feb 10, 2012I put a motion preset (zoom in 3D) on a movie symbol instance. It worked great--it zoomed in well, and the instance stayed at the center of the stage for the whole animation, which is what I wanted.
I realized that I needed to change the stage size, for reasons I won't go into.I converted the stage measurement from pixels to inches, and resized it.Of course, all my graphics and instances were now off-center. In realigning and resizing everything, I discovered that my instance with the motion preset was no longer staying centered on the stage. It now travels in a right diagonal down to the bottom right corner of the stage when played. In fact, now anytime I use that particular preset on anything, in this file and in new ones, the same thing happens. It's like the preset has changed permanently on my computer and won't go back to the default.
I've tried editing the path frame by frame, but that makes a mess. I've tried using the subselection tool to edit the path, but that's imprecise and not working well.As an aside, I loaded this particular file onto another laptop here at work that has Flash Pro too. Before I opened my file on this new computer, that motion preset worked fine. Now that I've opened this file in the new computer, that preset is messed up, even when I start a new file.

2. Import that SWF into another FLA that has a larger stage.
3. Play back (ctrl-Enter) the FLA and the motion (translation etc.) inside the SWF is there, but the effects (blur etc.) are not honored.
Motion Presets Window Does Not Work?
Jun 2, 2009I've been attempting to use the Motion Presets feature for a project, but the Motion Presets window does not display any folders or options. I only see the following: the motion presets tab, the further options in the upper right corner, "preview not available", the save selection as a preset button, the new folder button, the trash, and the greyed-out apply button. The file is intact and in the proper location.

Mar 25, 2009I saw on a website once (I wish I could remember which site it was), flash buttons that were creatively animated. The button would appear just as text, but when you hovered over it, an image would rise from behind it, then, when you moused off, the image would go back down. It did this for each of the buttons and I cannot figure out how to get that to work, especially since in CS4 with AS3 you cannot use AS on a button. It's also really difficult to add a motion preset to a button....

Dec 8, 2009lets say we want to animate an object using the 3d position its (Z position)to be exact, from keyrame 1 to keyframe 40 or so on. i put the object on keyrame 1 to 10000position and view and then its keyframe on 40 to 0 position and view,so it looks like a nice object zooming towards you as you see it.but how can we get the object to constantly spin around and around(like from the motion presets from the default:spiral 3D ) .so it seems like a coin been tossed.

Jan 29, 2010I have both CS3 and CS4, I now work only in CS4 with some exceptions. If I open CS4 start a new project then save after working in it the file saves with the cs3 icon. When I doubleclick the file to open it defaults back to opening in CS3.Only way to have files default and open in CS4 is to choose the icon of the CS3 (which is really a CS4 file) and choose open with other, choose the CS4 app and click on it so it opens in CS4 and then only does the icon changes to a cs4 icon.

When the swf loads, the form fields are populated with the text.I've also set it up so that if you change the text and hit a submit button, the .txt file gets updatedI'm now tryng to set it up so that I can store radio button selections in the .txt file too.I've started doing it a certain way, but am wondering if there is a more straightforward way of doing I've set up the butttons to spit out "on" or "off" depending on the selection, and apply that to the variable that gets stored.the text form fields when the swf is refreshed, I want to load the on/off variable, and then somehow apply it to the radio buttons so that one of them is pre-selected.

Nov 13, 2010I'm using an open-source Flash mp3 player. In comes in two swf versions. One plays a list of songs and displays the album cover(s). The other version just plays one song. The problem is that the single-song version loads some default text that I want to change (I was able to do this in the other version via the external playlist file). I'm a Flash newbie, and when I open the fla file the player's author provides, I can't find where this default text is located. (The playlist version works fine; its default text relates to what the user will get when they click on the file titles.)

Jul 7, 2011Is there anyway to make graphics always default to Single Frame instead of Loop when you drag them from library to stage? It's kind of a pain to go to Properties > Looping > Options: Single Frame every time I drag a graphic instance.

How can I get the notes to display? when I to to the symbol it shows the letter of the alphabet but in the fla when I look at the Text, Font it has the (Musical Symbols) Default Font selected as it should.

Apr 23, 2010I really like the motion editor in CS4. A lot is easier than before, particularly working with ease. But I wounder how you use the custom curve when having a complicated motion with a lot of keyframes. In programs like AE it's easy to select a key and tell if it's going to be a easy in/out or both, and then I select next key and tell how that key should ease. In Flash CS4 I allways get a easy curve that range the entire tween. Is the workflow to brake everything apart so you tween every single motion, or is it another way doing it?
