View 1 RepliesI'm creating some custom components and backing code. I've created a Flex library project in Flash Builder which compiles to a SWC. The problem is now that all my MXML files get compiled into classes in the default package, making the whole thing a big mess.Is there a way to set a package declaration for MXML files? After all it just gets translated into AS3 classes. This seems to work in regular Flex projects using a namespace declaration so I'm at a loss how that is supposed to work. The other option is building out all the components in AS3 which I'd like to avoid.
View 1 RepliesSo I just started using Flash CS4 from Flash 8, and I like it so far, but there's on major problem: the "classic tweens" (motion tweens) aren't rotating some of the objects I have. Like there's this flame thrower I drew, and I rotate it at the end of the motion tween, but it doesn't rotate. It will just wait till the last frame and then it will show the rotated frame. Motion works in the motion tweens, but not enlarging or rotating... why? It seems more like a glitch, because sometimes I make a classic tween and it rotates stuff just fine, but sometimes it just doesn't... what am I doing wrong here? What's going on?
View 3 RepliesIn this documentation it says that flash CS5 should support custom easing, just like old good CS3 and earlier versions of flash.however, this feature seems to be missing from CS5. it says:Click the Edit button next to the Ease slider in the frame Property inspector.but there is no "edit button" in the panel with easing slider.

And i can't simply save by ctrl+s because Flash (thats concrete program i am asking about) want to save in 5.5. So every time i have to push file-> save as-> change from 5.5 to 5.0. I was trying to find somewhere, where to change it, but i didnt manage to.
View 1 RepliesHow to change the default templates in Flex? Maybe even add your own? It's just so tedious to have to rearrange, replace and copy/paste everything for each new project, if you want to use swfobject for instance, or if you just prefer a different folder structure.

I've been trying to find an easing generator that supports bounce but have found none. I want to create an easing function that starts as a easeInSine (or quad) and ends as en easeOutBounce (imagine dropping an object on the ground). I've already thought of splitting up the tween in two. Just realised that the easeOutBounce actually starts a little bit like easeInSine but I would like to enhance that part to make a steeper curve.
View 4 RepliesI'm creating several cutom components. Within each I'm setting up scripted tweens with the Tween class. I have listeners setup within the components to fire internal events. My question is how can one component on the stage listen to the others tween events? Currently I'm setting up internal listeners like so:

how to display text from external text files but the problem that they all use the regular component scrollbar inside flash, and how to make custom scrollbar for dynamic text but still not for external text. But as the title says, how to make a custom scrollbar (with/without easing but hopefully with it) to display text (or html) from an external text file?

The mask I'm trying to use is applied as a pixel mask on a layer in the photoshop doc I'm working off, but I can't seem to figure out the proper way to get that layer mask imported into flash, to then compile into my .swc and be called from actionscript. (I'm coding in Flex)
Whats the proper workflow for getting a pixel mask imported from photoshop so that when I call:
container.mask = myMask;
It'll show up as the shape I want, and not just a square box the size of my shape?

I created some button states in flash (swc), and I want to use them in a pure AS3 project. They are movie clips with class of neatButton_on and neatButton_off respectively. I call them like this:[code]I've also used assets, especially for different states of the same item, where I've put everything in one movie clip and then switched frames as needed. Is one way faster than the other? is there a best practice?

how to incorporate tween classes and then easing?
I've built a code to cyclically move a scene on the bottom of my stage; I've done this to make a slowing-and-stop-easing effect at anytime the command will arrive. The entire scene mc is _x long something like 6000 px. The whole code goes in this way:
1) importing on the stage (with attachMovie) a mc with this code inside:
onClipEvent(enterFrame) {
_parent._parent.fondo_mc._x -= countermovement;
if (_parent._parent.fondo_mc._x <= -5800) {[code].....
The code goes right, but I need to improve it.Now there is just a variable, I tought to use two vars to implement the whole code in a setInterval, but maybe it's unuseful, and actually I can't use it in the right way.
Second issue: actually when slowAndStop function is called the scene slow too fast, if I take it to 15 it slow better but the scene is running too fast...
The best would be that the scene slow down and stop following: A) a temporal variable (and I can try to implement it with setInterval, that for istance is a cycle)
B) an indipendent moving variable, so that on one side I set the speed, on the other side I set the slow-and-stop in a matter of time with countermovement.I also tried to use a second variable:
var counter:Number = 15;
// set the _x increment
var countermovement:Number = counter/2;
but the scene slow and goes backward a bit

View 7 RepliesI'm working on a slide show which includes 3 sections that fade in and out automatically as well as can be navigated via buttons.Everything is working fine until I include a 3d tween animation of a hanging sign.it doesn't have any action script - just a 3d tween where the sign swings however once I include it in the slide show, the whole thing goes crazy:The fade in and out of tweens don't work.sometimes the slide show skips and everything start moving very fast as if the timeline was fast forwarded... can someone please helpe me and point me in the right direction of where to even start trouble shooting it? The problem is that it acts as if there was some kind of script added however there's no action script included in the hanging sign.

But how would I script something easing in half way, then easing out the second half? It would start slow, gradually move faster, then slow to a stop at the end. - almost like a sine wave I guess?
