Actionscript 3 :: Flash Builder Button AutoRepeat Not Working?

I am trying to achieve a continuous mouseDown event when I press a button, I have set the autoRepeat attribute of the button to true, and I have created both mouseUp and mouseDown event handlers, but when I press and hold in the button, it doesn't continue firing, it just fires once, I am new to Flash Builder, so I am not sure if I am missing anything, here is my code,

I have a button in my AS3 flash file that is using the .autorepeat property successfully. the button is too sensitive so a single click is being registered as multiple clicks. I'm trying to use the repeatDelay & repeatInterval properties but I'm getting the following error. "1119: Access of possibly undefined property repeatDelay through a reference with static type fl.controls:Button." Do the repeatDelay & repeatInterval properties work in AS3??

I am having a really strange issue where I can't get any hand cursors to come up in Flash Builder. Anybody else have this problem. I ran into a situation where I've had to convert a ton of Flash Builder projects just to get the hand cursors to come up. Weird this is if I open the swf's in Flash the hand cursors will show up. Once they get on the web though, though don't work. It's almost as if the buttonMode property will not work in swf's compiled in Flash Builder. I've tried with Flash Builder 4 and 4.5 and no luck. I told a friend, and he didn't believe me. So I asked him to just do a simple test in Flash Builder to create a Sprite and add it to the stage, add a click listener, and set it's buttonMode to true. He has the same problem, no hand cursor. I've even tried to set useHandCursor true with buttonMode, etc.

I've just installed Flash builder on my machine, which went ahead and installed the debug version of Flash on my machine as well. It appears now that this has broken Flash in my browsers or at least the browsers have no idea where flash is located on my machine. When I open a browser and navigate to a Flash page I get the message,
"Alternate HTML content should be placed here. This content requires the Adobe Flash Player. Get Flash "
This is from Google chrome but FF is also effected.

For some reason Flash Builder 4 doesn't autocomplete any more for new projects I create (either pure Actionscript or Flash Pro projects). But for previous projects it still works fine.For instance when I go to create a new actionscript class, when I click browse next to Superclass there are only TWO classes that come up. EventDispatcher & Sprite. Where have the rest of the classes gone?
When I try to type inside the class.. ie var mc:MovieClip... as I'm typing MovieClip nothing comes up any more.. pushing ctrl+space doesn't bring up a list of classes either. Importing classes, no code hinting comes up at all.I haven't changed anything in Flash Builder between now and when my previous projects were created.

i get this error when i retrieve an XML that only has 1 node (no repeating nodes) and i try to store in an ArrayCollection. -When I have MORE than 1 "name" nodes...i do NOT get an error. My test show that XMLListCollection does NOT work either.
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert "XXXXXX" to mx.collections.ArrayCollection.
this error occurs as the line of code:
myList= e.result.list.name;
Why can't ArrayCollection work with a single node? I'm using this ArrayCollection as a dataprovider for a Component -is there an alternative I can use that will take BOTH single and repeating nodes as well as work as a dataprovider?

Is it possible to build a UI with Flash CS5 that contains multiple buttons, and then have flex listen to those button events?
My current plan is to load the SWF with SWFLoader and attaching listeners to the buttons in a onComplete event would be the proper way to set it up, however i cannot seem to find a way to access the buttons themselves and attach listeners to them. Of course i would give each button its own instance name.

From a video on AdobeTV, I tried to play with example empWeb (LiveCycle Data Services).In Flex Builder 3 (FB3) everything works fine. When I tried this on Flash Builder 4.0 Beta (FB4) it doesn't work. When I replaced original xmlns declarations (2009, spark, halo)with declarations from FB3 (2006) it works. Could you explain why?I'm using the default SDKs (Flex 3.2 for FB3 and Flex 4.0 for FB4). I investigated this (please see 3 source code examples). I have a component where a Button is wrapped in BorderContainer. I'm passing a custom property to the component at run-time to change the label of the button but Flex is reporting the following error:
Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference
When the error occurs, Flex highlights the following code:

Does anyone know if there is a way to make the new Package Explorer window in Flash Builder emulate Flex Builders 'Flex navigator' window?
Bottom line is I don't always need to peer into SWC's, and I don't like having a 'default package' automatically created for me. Not sure why the interface wasn't made simpler, allowing access to more power and complexity only if necessary. I want to focus on the code, not on how to navigate and use the bells and whistles in the coding environment.

For some reason code completion/intellisense has stopped working for new properties in our projects.These are the symptoms:Add a new property to a class If you go to a different class, and you try to use that property, the intellisense dropdown doesn't show the new property. It does show the already existing ones.If you build the project, everything works fine, there are no errors or compiler warnings.The property will not show in intellisense until you restart Flex Builder (version 3).We have tried it on different machines and als tried to set up the workspace again, but the symptoms stay the same everywhere in our project.

I want to take a static text field, convert it into a button, and use it as a button. I need it static, because I changed orientation, and I do not know how to do that otherwise. The problem is, even though I converted it to a Button symbol, it does not work when I test the movie. It works fine with "Enable simple buttons", but when I test it, the button is not there, no change in mouse cursor, no reaction at all.So this is what I did:

Converted text field to Button - Symbol (scrollBT)
Editing the Button,I put the same content (the static text field) in all four frames: No luck, not working. without the Hit frame filled (which I think doesn't really make a difference): No luck, not working.Tried again, converting the static text field in the button into a Graphic Symbol: No luck, not working.Tried again, and put some differences in the frames for "ON" and "OVER" etc.: No luck, not working.Tried again, duplicating a similar, working button, edited it, and: No luck, not working.
To the button itself and the AS: The button will be a scroll-button for a text field, with different scroll speeds on rollover and press, but nothing else. The code for that I have (I think). It's something like (and please excuse my incorrect syntax here, but I'm typing from memory; still, I use the Script-Assistant and my syntax is apparently correct; it's also working with other buttons):

The ad on the bottom right of the screen (the one with lightning flashing) has an invisible button in its Flash file (CS5) linking to [URL]. This file is imported as SWF in Dreamweaver CS5.
The hyperlink works in Firefox, but not in Safari. Maybe it is just my computer.

I've been working on a flash website for some time now and build a contact form. Everythng works perfectly exept I cant use the tab button to cycle through the input textfields. In trying to solve this I've noticed that the tab botton does nothing throughout the entire site, no yellow box ever appears. Anybody come across ths before? Is there some code needed to enable this function?

I used the tutorial found here. The 3 frames of my button are in a movie clip, within a keyframe in the main timeline. I used the code at the end in the tutorial for the first keyframe, so that the clip begins with music playing. However; I cannot get the buttons to work. I cannot stop the sound.

So I've just embedded a .swf file as a header to my blog and the home button, the logo, is not working.Everything is linked up correctly. When I test it in Flash, it brings up my blog. However, when I'm actually on the site, the button does nothing.

I just upgraded to Flash Builder 4 (beta 2) from Flex Builder 3 which I have been using since it came out. Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?

I've got a nearly completed Flash site, but one of the buttons isn't working--sometimes.
It's hard to explain, so here's how you can see the problem. Run the .fla below, wait for the animation to stop, and click the "services" star. Two more stars appear: "design and production" and "editorial." If you click on "design and production" first, everything works fine. You can get to editorial and everywhere else. BUT if you click on "editorial" first (after clicking "services" but before clicking "design and production"), the "design and production" button doesn't work from there (the "editorial" label frames in the "inline_frame" movie clip).
I've got several Actions keyframes in the "inline_frame" movie clip--I don't know if that's kosher or not.
