Actionscript 3 :: Securely Tie In Flash Project To A Database?

I'm creating a game for a viral marketing campaign where roughly one in 100 players will get access to a QR code for some exclusive thingamajig. The game will require information to be pulled and pushed from the database since the game environment will 'grow' over time.
I haven't decided yet on how to do this, but I had 2 ideas, each with their concerns:
solution 1: connect the SWF to a database
concern: I have decompiled SWF's before and it is remarkably easy. How do I protect my database credentials against this?
solution 2: have the SWF connect to .php scripts that query a database. This way my database connection credentials are safe inside the php file.
concern: However, how do I then make sure the PHP script isn't being accessed by a custom script? Somebody could get the php URL from the SWF source and just access it directly, bypassing the flash app.

I want to make sure that only authenticated users are publishing streams to my Adobe Flash Media Server.
Ideally I would like to limit the IPs which are allowed to publish streams to the server.
I read about the Adobe Authentication Plugin, but apparently it is broken since it works only for Adobe Flash Media Live Enconder. It doesn't secure the server for other encoders that publish streams.

Here's what I want to do: when a player wins a game (coded in flash/actionscript), they are given a personalized secret key, which they can email to me in exchange for a prize. I can then validate the key on my end using a private algorithm. I need to design it so that it is practically impossible for hackers to generate a valid prize key without winning the game.
I assume that any SWF file is basically vulnerable to decompilation, but I don't know exactly how vulnerable they are. Perhaps any algorithm for generating a valid key will be accessible to hackers? I have at my disposal all the methods in actionscript 3, as well as a PHP/MySQL server, and I control the server where the game will be hosted.

Is it possible to create a database driven website using these alone? Or do i need to learn any other technology? If i do then what should i learn? I know j2se for the desktop and oracle SQL/MySQL i finally got the feeling that i need to learn PHP anyway along with css and javascript. So it is fine. Also another query. Which CMS should i consider? Wordpress or Joomla?

I want to send AJAX requests to my website from my Flash games to process data, but I don't want people downloading them, decompiling them, then sending fake requests to be processed, so I'm trying to figure out the most secure way to process in the PHP files. My first idea was to use Apache's built in Authorization module to require a username and password to access the pages on a separate subdomain of my website, but then you'd have to include that username and password in the AJAX request anyway so that seems kind of pointless to even try.My current option looks pretty promising but I want to make sure it will work. Basically it just checks the IP address being sent using REMOTE_ADDR to make sure it's the IP address that my server runs on.

Both of those IP addresses point to my server. Things I'm worried about:

I need to pass private data from MySQL to a flash file securely. I have a PHP script that is assigning variables on the server side - how do I pass this to flash without being available publically? I assume XML and an HTTP query string are out of the question because of security. What's the most secure way of doing this? Basically I have some file paths that I need to load into a music player - however, I don't want these URLs to be publicly known. I was hoping I could pass data directly to flash securely somehow.

But the problem is that I do not know how to do it. So my question is how to build a dynamic flash grid wich is fill with data from a database? Is there a way to do it with action script only or I must do it another way?

I have an already built flash mp3 player. It works fine, but the client wants the mp3's inaccessible to to users except through the player.We currently have the mp3's themselves in folders inaccessible via http using .htaccess. We bypass this by loading the mp3's via a PHP script (using file_get_contents()). However, if a user accesses the path of the php script, they will be prompted to download the mp3 anyway.Does anyone know the method in which sites like myspace securely loads mp3's?

ok so when i need to connect a swf to some sort of data source on the server be it XML, a .NET DLL, a CFC or what ever so that i can load data from a database or what ever, everyone is always saying that i shouldn't hard code the connection string into my actionscript as anyone can get it and do malicious things with it. So how should i load the connection string into flash. if i put them on the server in an XML file or somthing like that then i still need to put a connection string into the actionscript in order to load in my main connection strings into the actionscript.
Basically i need to know how to load an external string into a swf without anyone else being able to get hold of that string for them selves. i am developing an app for somone and i need it to connect to a database and i need it to be secure. i have everything sorted except making the connection string to the database unstealable.

I cant "center" my project, like you can see its "fixed" (yellow lines) in the left side and I cant see "invisible" part of project... (area around the project). how can I move my project so I can see the not-project area around the project. (picture 2).

I have set up a Flash Project to publish two FLAs simultaneously.However, when I click on "Test Project" I get the following error message:Quote:Cannot open a protected movie.However, when I publish each of these FLAs independently, I do not get the error message and the file publishes and runs with no problem.

I want to create a Flex 3 application running in Adobe Air that accesses an SQLite database and I need to keep this database in sync with an SQL server 2005 database running a website.Is this something that Flex supports or is it going to be a custom script? Also, has anybody done anything like this?
Edit: The synchronisation can be done on a daily basis rather than real time. The data will be read only from a front end perspective with a CMS to do updates on the website.

I have researched this issue all over and most people say use the .refresh() method to update a datagrid after updating or adding a new record. This does not do anything. So, my issue is this. I have a mySQL database hosted I am connecting via PHP, I have 1 mxml file and 2 php files (I know I can use just 1 but I am learning and this was easier for me to use for troubleshooting). The issue is no matter what I change on the datagrid the update does not show on the datagrid unless I close out of IE and reopen it. I can refresh or open the page in another window and the update does not show. I have to exit entirely and restart in order for any updates or additions to show.Here is my licenseTracker.mxml

I am working on a function to generate a form at runtime in Flex based on a call to the DB. The call to the DB returns the field types, id, tooltips etc as an arraycollection, the arraycollection is then parsed in order to ascertain what control to display based on the type field in the array - this bit works fine.However, i am stuck on trying to save the form fields back to the database using a CFC.my form rendering code is as follows but how do i save values entered back to the database? rendering code..

I have updated the mxml code to only show the needed code for the program to run the update.
I am new to Flex and have an issue I hope you all can help me out with.

I am planning on using Flash Builder 4/Flex to write an AIR application which is primarily based around recording, storing and analyzing data.I'll be creating charts etc that need to update in almost real time.It's essential to me that the application be able to function without an internet connection so I need a local database of some variety,but I would also eventually like to build in online synchronization of the data where either database can be update each other based on newer information. Moreover, some type of encryption would definitely be welcome, and speed is a large concern
Synchronization: Primarily updates/additions/deletions will be done on the offline database, but ideally I want to have a web interface that will allow the same updates/additions/deletions and will be synced (beyond that I'm not sure exactly how to do it as I can model that based on what is most achievable).I'm wondering if there's any prebuilt engine that could handle the synchronization of 2 databases. I may end up having the web interface only be for additions, which would be significantly easier to sync.. and I may start that way, but i want to build with technologies that will best allow me to implement full online crud at some point.

Here is the issue: a client wants his entire equipment inventory accessible by persons navigating to his jquery mobile site. The inventory that exists on the desktop site was, as I understood, built with Flex. Is it possible to access this database for the jquery mobile site? I believe it is. I am working on this one project that has a couple of movieclips (already placed on stage) which have a custom class set to export via the Library. Each of those custom classes loads an external SWF using URLRequest().
Is it possible (or, what is the best way) to preload the whole project first, including the external SWFs?

Installed Created a multi-modular webapp project using flexmojo:

Dependency is war->swf->swc.
With parent artifactId of swf, swc, war set to swf, swc, test respectively.On executing mvn on test folder(for that matter clean or anything) I get this following error.
