Actionscript 3 :: Using A For Each Loop To Check List Of Possible Passwords?

What am trying to do is match an Array of possible passwords to the correct password and trace if the password is correct or not. This is what I have so far.

I am trying to make a quiz work online. At the moment pupils can start playing before all the questions are loaded and it mucks it up. I tried putting a 'loading question' frame in. In this I put a movie clip with only made a continue button appear after 30 seconds. But this is not practical as all servers take a different time to load. I know I need to put in a loop but am having problems and would be grateful for help.
I have the questions saved as 15 notepad files in a folder. The folder is named Women. When they choose this topic they press a button with this code.
I'm having a bit of trouble with a script to check a 'dynamic number'...
Basically, I've got a movie which plays in a loop and each time it goes around, it clicks up a number, which I have on the stage as 'dynamic text' called "ImageNumber" - this bit is working fine it uses the following code to add[code]...
There are a number of parameters that can be added to object and embed tags to embed flash videos. Most are listed here. Some of them can be accessed/changed programmatically via ActionScript (e.g. <param name="scale"> can be accessed via stage.scaleMode).
Can the value for the loop parameter be accessed/changed?

I was trying to set up a loop which checks to see if all files are available from an array before loading them in. I have got it working to a point where it traces out file is loaded or not but I cant seem to trace out which actual file name is missing eg. myfile1.swf is missing.
I have a frame that plays and checks and prints the width of a movieclip, but the movieclip is constantly changing size, so I would like the textfield to show the movieclip width as is scales. I would assume I need to create a method of looping the code that checks the width, maybe a setinterval?
i'm trying to check the passwords and names and i want it to goto the next frame if they match, security isn't really an issue so i'm not going to go through php and mySQL and stuffhere's the code:
In my game there appear scores when you shoot down enemies. That kinda works so far but they overlap when the enemies were too close to each other when shot down.Now what I'd like to do is to prevent the overlapping of the scores. The basic idea I had was to loop through the array of scores and to check the distance to each other.

Below is my code and it is working. What I need to know is how to setup multiple passwords for one result. So look at the first four actions.. they go to the same page. I also want it to go if it is small caps verses large. How do I put all in one statement or do I have to do it this way. How do I put this in a text file if I have multiple passwords going to different pages. So as you see below if they put in password1,PASSWORD1,cash,CASH this all goes to page1.html If this put in password2,PASSWORD2 it goes to page2.html[code]...
I have a simple kids game where they need to enter a password to move on in the game. The password is a string "Explore solutions and plans".I would like them to be able to move on if they have it partially right; e.g. if they type just "explore" or "Explore" or "Explore solutions" or "Explore plans" etc. Current script:

don't know how to frame my query but i'll try to be as specific as possible.Let's say I have an xml file which I load into my flash app and then populate a listbox with it.So I'll take following steps1. load xml file2. parse xml file and make an array of items to be put in listbox3. loop through the array and populate the listbox (basically attachMovie)Now for step 3 I have been using for loop. This is ok if there are small number of items in a list box. But when the list is quite long (say 200 to 500 items) there is certain lag.same paradigm applies if I have to put different graphic elements on a blank board dynamically.
flash site that has a login screen...i used Shared Objects to allow the user to save their password when they visit the site (like cookies)...this all works fine...however, to save you all from an exhaustive explanaition of why i did this, there is a log-in page for EVERY individual page on the site (there's roughly 20 in all).this way, when the user clicks Log In, it takes them to the specific page they are requesting, instead of just defaulting to the home page (god i hope that made sense).
so here's the issue:for some reason the user info is only being saved on a page-by-page basis...meaning, that if the user clicks to the photos page, logs in and then closes their window...then later, clicks to some other page, their info is not retrieved on this new page...i understand that i am using different flash files for each log in page, but its the same script referencing the same shared object (which from what i see creates a .txt file), so it seems like it should workhere is the code:first frame:
I'm trying to create password protection something like this site's:[URL]..I've tried looking up tutorials, but all I can find are ones that tell me how to create one password for one movie. What I'd like to do is use one input field and have multiple possible passwords that would take you to their corresponding movies.
I have been trying to save usernames and passwords for the modules i develop in flash ......and finally i came across sharedObjects which really come in handy for saving information on local machine.........
Now comes the problem ........the data is stored in the form of *.sol files by flash and now i am unable to add data to previously saved information.....Is there any way to save data in sol files as an array the thing is i need to develop a login screen for multiple users not for single user ...........
I have an array, and, when I use the for...in loop to add each element to a string in order, it appears to list them in descending rather than ascending order. I want to know if this is what its supposed to do and how i might be able to make it go in the right order.
I am having go with one one of the tutorials here. I am trying to use XML to loop, or play, the list of songs that I have going on. Though, I get stuck with two problems:
1) The Flash will not play the 2nd or third song of the XML file, only the first than it stops.
2) The Flash will also not play the XML file if I embed it on another folder, like for example: I want the flash to be embeded on my home page (so index.php) though I have all my files (songs.xml, the songs, home.as, flash_home.swf) on a folder named /flash/ off my root folder.
How do we get the XML list looping so when we get to the end of the list the next_btn takes us back to the first photo in the list again? (And Visa Versa)
I have a password engine already made. But I got this idea of making 3 different passwords each time the game is being played. I already achieved to set these 3 password and the Input textbox accepts them. The thing is when the game ends, it give a password for another game. I want to set that dynamic text box that give you the password to randomly shows one of the 3 passwords I've set. So, how do I make a function that everytime the game is being played,set a different text on the dynamic text box, from one of the 3 passwords I've set?
I'm using AS3 in timeline. I have an input text box and a button. I would like to navigate to scenes using passwords and a submit button. On timeline I have four labels: intro_1 to intro_4. The input text box is called main_sections. The submit button is called main_btn. Both text box and button are on a layer that goes from intro_1 to intro_4. PROBLEM The only scene I can go without errors is section_4. All other scenes show error

How do I make the Start Exam button work so when an appropriate username and password are entered it takes you to the test.
I'm trying to create a password input area where a player can insert several passwords and be correct, each password triggering the typing of that password in a separate area (which is what the numbers one to ten in the script below refer to). However, there is some flaw I can't find in the script and if I try to enter anything in the box, it is changed to "orangemarmalade" (see below) and only enters there (acting as if I typed "orangemarmalade" every time).
I've got 13 movieclips that all run a function (setNames) contained in a child object (namer) it contains. The function displays text in a dynamic text boxI've set them up with the instance names mark0 > mark12 so I can target them with a loop and array notation which is something I often use. But the loop sometimes doesn't work, however a list of 13 separate lines of code works fine. Am I overloading Flash with too much code commands at once, and is there a way around this?This doesn't work...
I'm using Kirupa's "search array" to check wether something is loaded. It "works" however it doesn't stop if daft = 1, so it keeps checking and gives its final answer as 0 if I can't escape from the for loop I don't know
