I'm trying to upload images generated in my Flash application to an album on Facebook.This was working earlier in the year, but revisiting the code I now get the following OAuthException:#324) Requires upload file am using the most recent version of the ActionSccript Facebook API. The setup works like this:irst I do the authentication check with PHP to ensure users have granted permission before having to wait for the Flash to load. I'm requesting the publish_stream and user_photos permissions. The access token comes back correctly.Once the user is authenticated the Flash is loaded and performs its own initialisation, passing fileUpload=true as part of the init object:

my listener.onComplete = function(selectedFile:FileReference) is fired without any file in the upload dir. if the file is small and I wait a bit I can see the file (through FTP) coming up on the server, but most of the times the "onComplete" if fired without any file being saved.
can I add something to this php code to make sure the file is uploaded?

I'm making a Flash game which will be up on Facebook, I'm using Python/Django on the backend but to talk to Facebook. I use the Facebook Flash API. The problem is when I ask for extended permission from the user, using FBML. I get a link which I have to click and get the permission. How can I make sure a popup appears instead of the link. I am creating an AIR application using Flex. In it I use a file in application directory to store some data in it.Its working very well to read and write data to this file with various OS except windows 7. In windows 7 it is not working. May be its a permission problem.
How can i write file in the application directory with Windows 7 ?

In Flash user can give permission to localhost and even local html file to access remote webservice.I fail to see the same thing for Silverlight which is a nightmare for testing on local pc.

If I have a main.swf which loads, for example, outside.swf, is there a way to make outside.swf useless if run on its own, but working when loaded via main.swf? The purpose would be preventing people from running parts of a presentation on a CD, forcing them to use only the main.exe projector file. I tried making a Boolean variable called "allowed" in outside.swf telling the movie not to play if it's set to false, and then tried changing this property from main.swf after loading it by calling loader.content, but it didn't work.

I have a simple class file for buttons. on Rollover the movieclip plays frame no 2 and on Rollout it plays frame no 11. This is working fine. Now I want to disable the current button on click/release and enable others. I don't know how to get the other buttons because the this keyword always refer to the current button that is rolled over of clicked.

Is there any "mainstream" library used for this purpose? Commonly spread, well maintained, documented etc.I found these (using flash):
Uploadify - not many releases, latest 12/2010, no documentation (!)
SWFUpload - latest release 03/2010, documentation
fancyupload - looks buggy.
phpfileuploader - looks heavyweight, and looks commercial (?) I cannot read the licence (you can download it but are you allowed to use it forever without paying?) plupload New version of pure javascript (no flash) Valums' ajax upload claims to handle file size limit and progress bar, which is quite suspicious to me: these features require to guess the file size before the upload, which seems impossible in javascript (look also here). Or can it work?

That is the entire code for my program and when it runs, nothing happens. I know the program has access to the laptop's webcam because it can trace the name and a similar program I wrote works with the same webcam. This program doesn't even ask for permission to access the webcam so I'm rather confused.

Im working on an app with flash and zinc which requires the use of Webcam...
Now my problem is whenever i run my program it ask for permission that "local is requesting access to your camera and microphone".. well i know that if i give remeber in settings tab it wont ask again.. but my app will be used by many clients where i dont want to show it is made with flash... so can anyone provide solution so that ther permission is override and to show the cam..

When i publish the streams on a linux server, the .flv files have permissions like this:-rw-rw----. And i don't have permissions to access this file on a client browser... Currently, i can only change the permission using "chmod" manually

I built this simple video publisher a while back and now users are complaining that they can't click on the allow when prompted for access to their webcam. It seems to be widespread on Macs but I can replicate the bug on Firefox in Windows 7 with the latest flash player.

I read many comment that the application need to pop-up dialog for user to decide to extend their permission.The question is, who will record those decision? Facebook or the developer? because it might be a problem if user is asking the court for their privacy.

I'm trying to figure out if there is a way to allow a user to upload a file in the background and let them continue to interact with flash movie, while the file is being uploaded. E.g. if they are uploading a 50mb file, we don't want the whole interface to be locked up for 10 minutes while the file uploads, it's be great if they can continue to interact in the movie while the file uploads. I'm guessing if they refresh the page, or navigate away from the movie, that the upload process would get cut off and there isn't anyway around that. Couple of ideas I had:
1. My first thought is that we could use a popup window with a upload form in it. Which is simple, but not very cool.
2. Use some sort of ajax background uploader in conjunction with flash ... not sure exactly if this is possible.

I recently used Flash to create the header for my website. However, when I tried to upload my .fla file along with the .swf (which had no problem), I couldn't because the file format isn't supported. Is there any way I can get around this?
Also, I heard that you have to upload some .js file or something.

uploading files on Mac system. The same code runs perfect on a Windows system. Below is a snippet of the code I am using:

i have been wandering the internet for several days and can't find an answer to my file uploader nightmare, i just want to upload a file from flash via php, i have been using the FileReference class but as soon as i try to upload it nothing happens or at least it tells me its complete in super quick time but nothing has been uploaded and there has been no POST request fired i have checked my directorie paths and they are fine but no joy.
i proper want to get this to work, would be cool to finally get php working with flash for the first time.

The problem I have is that on linux, the flv files generated by fms are having permission 660. Due to this they become kind of useless as I cant do much with them. Is there a way to make fms generate streams with better default permission?
