Actionscript 3 :: Flash Builder - Get A List That Include All Api Name?
Oct 24, 2011
I'm working on a swf file source code obfuscator, for some reason I need a list that include all actionscript 3 api name. How to get it ? Should I need check all of the as3 api doc and make the list manual ?
When building a Flex library project in Flash Builder 4, setting the Include all Classes flag in the library properties tells the compiler to include all compiled classes into the resulting SWC file. Sometimes this flag gets reset or ignored. The .flexLibProperties file looks like this:
I have list populated with different data from PHP and when pressed it opens a URL, but when I return to the list from the browser, it has the selection I made to go to browser still selected. So how do I reset the selection? By the way, its a flex mobile app.
How do I load XML from a local file into a List component in MXML Flash Builder 4?
I tried using Actionscript to create a loader, but I can't seem to add an event listener to the loader. I've tried to create a local service but I couldn't get that to work either.
I'm making an XML driven AIR app. I plan on having multiple XML files being used - some for content and some for storing settings, state etc.
I use the Open Resource Window (Command-Shift-R) a lot in Flash Builder and it saves me a lot of time. But I canīt seem to get it to work with my projects xml files. I know this has been working on previous projects ut I canīt find any settings for this.
I am using the List component as a menu. The user uses the arrow keys to go up and down the items in the component and uses another key to select them. This is all working but now I would like to include infinite menus. I have made a quick animation to show you what I mean: [URL]
I am currently using this code: Code: focusManager.setFocus(_root.menu); lastItem = menu.length - 1; menu.selectedIndex = 0; var keyListener:Object = new Object(); keyListener.onKeyDown = function() { if((menu.selectedIndex == lastItem)&&(Key.getCode() == 40)){ menu.selectedIndex = 0; } if((menu.selectedIndex == 0)&&(Key.getCode() == 38)){ menu.selectedIndex = lastItem; }
However this results in an "off by one error" and the top item and bottom item cant be selected. e.g. [URL].
I am attempting to create a music site with multiple cd pages using frame labels. I am seeking the best means to utilize XML playlists that include a full playable list of tracks from each CD at multiple label "stop"'s. I am struggling with whether I can create one long set of code that accesses the entire multi- cd playlist or whether I need to create unique code at each CD section at it's label "stop" that includes a 'local' xml playlist. Both options are giving me trouble. I am trying to extrapolate on actionScript 3.0 Classroom in a book "controlling Sound with ActionScript" example to multiple webpages - slowly and frustratingly thus far.Does actionScript 3.0 consider the actions within each label set of frames as unique code - meaning when a button takes you to another label new code is required that is fully unique to that new label section? I either get duplicate function or when I atttempt to re-define each function to a unique function in the new label I run into other errors.
I am using an include file, and I've noticed that sometimes the the fla file does not refresh new changes to my include file. When exporting with "Ctrl, Enter" Is Flash loading the include file from the cache?
Does anyone know if there is a way to make the new Package Explorer window in Flash Builder emulate Flex Builders 'Flex navigator' window?
Bottom line is I don't always need to peer into SWC's, and I don't like having a 'default package' automatically created for me. Not sure why the interface wasn't made simpler, allowing access to more power and complexity only if necessary. I want to focus on the code, not on how to navigate and use the bells and whistles in the coding environment.
I have an AIR project that I was working on Flash Builder 4.5 which now I'm trying to import to my updated Flash Builder 4.5.1 and it is prompting me to fix some paths before the import is completed. I'm kinda clueless what I should put in those fields.

The project access a web server to retrieve data using JSON.
I am trying to migrate a project from Flash Builder 4.0 to Flash Builder 4.5. After Flash Builder prompts me to choose my new SDK, I choose 4.5, Then I get the following error:" error "The required skin state 'disabledWithPrompt' is missing".
I am working on an older Flash project created in CS3 ActionScript 2.0 How can I make the pointer cursor change to the hand when hover over a list item?_root.slidePanel.myList'myList' is the list. I have traced out the contents of the List MC and it has a child MC called 'content_mc'. I assumed this was the object containing all of my list items but the only members of this MC I can see (when tracing them out) are 'setRGB' and 'searchKey'.
I want to add a SimpleButton to a list item in a list component. I am getting the CellRenderer for the list item I want and using the addChild method to add the simple button. The button appears in the right spot on the list item but it doesn't function like a button. It's like the contents of the buttons first frame is added to the CellRenderer and nothing else.
Why I have to press 2 times the arrow key down to get a navigation through the list items in a list component of Flash?
Theres any workaround for this? I have a listener for keyboard event that checks if keyCode is equal to 40 if it is then I use 'stage.focus = list', but I have to press 2 times key arrow down to start navigating through list items.
I just upgraded to Flash Builder 4 (beta 2) from Flex Builder 3 which I have been using since it came out. Problem: All the projects that were in my workspace from Flex Builder 3 did not carry over into Flash Builder 4 (e.g. in the "Flex Navigator" view if FB3). Flash Builder 4 now uses the .FXP format to manage projects, but Flex Builder 3 did not. Is there an easy way to get all my projects back into Flash Builder 4?
In AS3, I know how to accomplish this. One needs only to click "ActionScript Settings", and navigate to the SWC file under "SWC Files or Folders Containing SWC Files".
However, when the project is set to AS2, the "Actionscript 2.0 Settings" is a rather sparse menu, and adding the folder as a classpath doesn't seem to work.
Is it possible to include PDF files within a Flash site that can then subsequently be downloaded by users of the site? Or does this have to be done through dreamweaver or a combination of both?
I have a flash movie that requires some JavaScript from an include file but I'd like to be able to embed it anywhere without requiring a script tag.
Is there a way to include an external JavaScript file using the ExternalInterface library so I can call the methods in the JavaScript include file later?
I have downloaded some external actionscript library in a form of a bunch of folders with .as files that have the following folder structure: com/helper_lib1/*.as com/helper_lib2/*.as com/primary_lib/LibClass.as <- primary lib I want to use
Lib.as has the following code: package com.primary_lib{ import com.helper_lib1.*; import com.helper_lib2.*; public class LibClass extends MovieClip{.....
Now I have some fla project where I want to use this com/primary_lib/lib.as, something like: import com.primary_lib.LibClass; var test:LibClass = new LibClass();...
How to include this library into my project and where should I put all those files? I already tried putting them into every possible folder but I always get definition com.primary_lib:LibClass could not be found error.
I'm naturally a PHP coder, but I have to use flash for a part of a project.I was wondering if I have files such as mainsite.swf and page1content.swf, is there a way to simply include the page1content.swf file into a predefined area on the mainsite.swf file (as in PHP's include)? Also, would it be possible to use this flash "include" to embed external swf's?Finally, ideally I'd be able to merge these files together, but from what I've read, it's a tricky business, with filenames, referencing etc, so this is optional.
Various sites, such as [URL] for video, or [URL], use an object tag with a nested embed tag. Based on quite a bit of testing, I've concluded that these sites only work with the nested or stand-alone embed tag, but not with the equivalent object tag syntax. Here's an example:
My problem: I have an FLV video that I need to add hardcoded subtitles to. I know that it's possible to add subs via XML but this is no good, I need them to be part of the video file itself. I tried (stupidly it seems) to use flash to load in the FLV to the timeline & add subtitles to another layer - but exporting issues & time-synching problems scuppered such an approach. So I need some proper video editing software. I have Adobe Premier v2 but it doesn't seem to support FLV input/output natively..
1) Convert FLV to AVI 2) import AVI to video editing software 3) Add subtitles 4) Export AVI file 5) Convert back to FLV
