I wanted to put a search box in my flex app that would act just like google or google finance: you start typing and a drop down list just below starts filtering the results dynamically. Does anyone know how to do this in flex? I am using flex and php so as the user types it will pull results off the server dynamically.

I am writing a Flex application for use on a private intranet with no external Internet access. I want to use Google's 3D Maps Flex API, but it must be connected to the internet to download map tiles on demand.
Is there a way to locally cache the 3D map tiles and data so that I can run this app without an internet connection? And if not, is there a 3D GIS that supports Flex integration and allows for a local map cache?

I have a Google map in my flex app that I need to occasionally export to an image file. Every time I try to call the, Map.getPrintableBitmap() or ImageSnapshot.captureBitmapData() functions I get the Error #2123: Security sandbox violation.I've tried adding various security allowances like:[code]I'm asking for a bitmap representation of a component that's already been drawn on the client's screen. Vkontakte does not support naturally in Google Analytics (not as Facebook) which means I can't even put the Google Analytics JS at the bottom of the page (or even use JS for that matter). What I can use is the AS3 library of Google Analytics, but for some reason it reports of failed gif requests every time I use it to report on an event. Is it even possible to use Google Analytics on the described environment? If so, what could be the reason of the failed gif requests? Is it debugable?

While searching for solution I came to know about OLAP4J and icCube, out of which I think OLAP4J is very old project and its not really active project. icCube looks good but it works with its own server, it cannot be integrated with Pentaho BI server.

40k of compiled code seems like a lot to me to be making some straightforward flash-javascript calls and makes GA unsuitable for banner ad work as well.

I have an online flex app that is served via an html page. Its critical that the flex app is refreshed in the user's cache every time that it changes. To help ensure that this happens, I change the name of the swf file every time that it changes. In addition, the html page contains the following lines of code:
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Pragma" CONTENT="no-cache">
<META HTTP-EQUIV="Expires" CONTENT="-1">
Using these techniques, FF and IE always seem to grab the latest swf file every time. Google chrome, however, NEVER gets the latest swf file - the only way to get the update is to hit shift+refresh in chrome.
Is there a fail-safe way for me to ensure that the latest swf file is always delivered to the browser?
