I have generated actionscript (AS3) beans from the Serverside(java).
Now some of the classes had (Long,long,double) which I had to convert into Number on the Actionscript side (as we dont have long ,double etc ) on AS3 side.
Now I have to validate Number on AS3 side to match type on Serverside .
Let take example I have a field
private long number ;
in java which is converted as
private number:Number ; on AS side
this will accept number as (Double Long etc) but we know that we cannot fit Double into long on java
so I am wondering is there anyway we can validate AS3 Number to be valid "Long" on Acrionscript side ?
I have colour values from a Flash application that are ARGB format(A being the alpha/transparency value). I have to convert that long decimal number to a RGB/Hexadecimal number in Javascript. Do you know how I can extract the individual R, G, B & A values from a long(8 digit) number? Here's my function which converts a number to hexadecimal BUT its not good enough because it needs to convert the values individually(R,G,B,A):
I'am making a advanced mp3 player arund this tutorial: [URL] and i want the users of the player to see how long they have listen or how long time back of the song. i have the AS i what to use but i cant connect them. becuase the tutorial i used does not make a sound objekt (MUSIC)
I am using Flex 3 and make a call through a RemoteObject to a Java 1.6 method and exposed with BlazeDS and Spring 2.5.5 Integration over a SecureAMFChannel. The ActionScript is as follows (this code is an example of the real thing which is on a separate dev network);
I'm trying to play a 10 minute long video (h264/mp4) which is 39MB in size, after I call stream.play(fileURL) it doesn't start playback until its loaded around 12-16MB of the file (many many seconds later), I finally get onMetaData at this point too. Why doesn't it begin playback right away, or at least w/in a couple seconds? What can cause this bloated lead in time?
I'm getting my head around XML E4X in Actionscript 3 and been looking at Senocular's article about filters [URL] for a better way of validating the code below?
Essentially I want to check the profile nodes exist and if theres a profile node with a matching locale attribute (passed via FlashVars), and if not it grab the text of the first node. Anyway heres the code snippet and my XML is below:
function addInfoBubble(countryName:String, countryDataXML:XML):void { // (theres other non related code here) if(countryDataXML.achievers.achiever[0].profile as XMLList && countryDataXML.achievers.achiever[0].profile.length() > 0){
I have created a button when clicked it validates A listbox checking for a value if the selected index =0. I want it to run another .swf
Here is ActionScript Code: submit_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, play); function validate(event:MouseEvent):void{ if (question1_combo.selectedIndex ==0) (RUN SWF here) else trace ("not worked"); }
I had a file flash version 4 that was working with this AS3 code, I open the file with version Flash 5 and now it is not working properly...Like in the name field if I press lowercase "r" ir shows "R"... and in the email address I can't type the @ character...this is the code...
stop(); var variables : URLVariables = new URLVariables(); var varSend : URLRequest = new URLRequest ("contact.php");
Im a scrub when it comes to flash (but i gotta start somewhere) and started making a form.I made a validation on the orders email and the orders details.The purpose of the form is to get some information about trips.there are 10 rows with 4 fields.the 4 fields is a date, from, to and time textfield.
i wanna group up and validate these fields so that if you write something in "from" you have to write something in "date", "to" and "time".
I want to be able to validate a string so that it doesn't contain any numbers or special characters like '@!%^' for instance, how would i go about doing this?
I'm still learning AS3 and am trying to set up validating user (text box) input of 2 items (name and password) by checking with an SQL Server Database on my website.I have the ASP page set up using a standard request/response.write script. It works I've tested the ASP, and it works. The ASP receives the 2 variables, hopefully each in a name-value pair, and checks with the DB, then if the name and password received from the Flash SWF match a name and password in the DB, sends back a "YES" and, if not, sends back a "NO".I'm having difficulty getting the AS3 written and working correctly. Here's what I have so far that displays errors, causes a flickering when previewed and doesn't yet work.
Now the problem is, it also validates characters like */- and ;',./ etc i want to validate only numbers and or alphabets. If anyone can point out mistake and changes that should be made
I'm Using EmailValidator for Validation: <mx:EmailValidator id="Email_Validator" source="{txtEmail}" property="text" required="false"/>
And My Code is: var isValidForm:Boolean=true; var validatorArr:Array = new Array(); validatorArr.push(Email_Validator); var validatorErrorArray:Array = Validator.validateAll(validatorArr); isValidForm = validatorErrorArray.length == 0; if(isValidForm) { //..... }
It is working fine. But I want domain should be "gmail.com" if some other, validation should return false.. How can I achieve this? I think Regular Expressions are useful. But I don't Know to use the same in flex?...
Given the nearly plain-text nature of Flash, from a security standpoint, we must assume that your SWF can be decompiled into human readable format. That said, how can we ensure the validity of any online calls? For example, recording a high score might make a call similar to this:
Code: var url:String = "http://someserver.com/tracker/scoreTable.aspx?mode=record&score=" + _userScore + "&checksum=" + MD5.hash( /* stuff */); var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader( ); loader.load( new URLRequest( url ) );
You can do all the MD5 hash checking to make sure the data received matches what was sent, but how can you verify the validity of the call? For instance, one could decompile the SWF and figure out how to build the query string manually, or they could reverse engineer it from monitoring the internet calls from the SWF itself. They could even use a run-time memory editor to change the figures that store the information while playing the game, so that when the recordHighScore call is made, it sends 1,000,000 instead of 1,000. How does one authoritatively validate data and protect against abuse?
I have a simple flash form, which has some required fields, ie. name, addy, etc. What I want to do, is validate that the fields have been filled before they can hit the "next" button.
I don't think this is possible, but is there a way to validate the arguments a callback accepts. For example someone passes me callback "mycallback", I want to assert it accepts an argument String.
public function addHandler(handler : Function) : void{ //pseudo code Assert.functionAcceptsArguments(handler, String); }
Dear Guys I Want To Generate A Random Number Between 2 Number BUT Without Generating 2 Same Number I Mean If For Example Already Generated Number "2" Next Time Did Not Generate It , Is There Any Solution
I Want To Generate A Random Number Between 2 Number BUT Without Generating 2 Same Number I Mean If For Example Already Generated Number "2" Next Time Did Not Generate It,
I have always wondered this functionality but would like to know what your approach is for this task:
Lets say a project requires three forms screens:
Screen 1 is user info Screen 2 is product Survey Screen 3 is Contact info
All three forms will be generated on runtime. So the application cycles starts with Screen 1 which has the usual user info fields such: First Name, Last Name, Email and until user fills in all three fields, application will now allow the user to go on the screen 2.
I have only dealth with one screen form and have never programmed a segmented form. I usually declare a BOOLEAN and set it to false and after making sure that all the fields are filled then the BOOLEAN Value is set to true and user is able to submit the form.
Now having to deal with 3 different forms, how do you handle such situation. Does one need to set Boolean value to false for each screen when the screen is initialized or loaded first?
Inside my code i have some variables declared as Numbers, and i get some others from an external source; these variables can either be Numbers or String representation of Numbers. Now, i have to implement some equality controls on these variables, and since i don't know in that moment which type are them of, i'm converting all of them to Numbers (i don't need and neither want to compare strings) via the Number() function which accepts either Numbers or Strings as an input. These controls can compare 2 single variables or a variable and a sum (or subtraction) of other variables, for example:
I am working on a project wherein a long (40-50min) flv plays inside a flash interface. I have a set of buttons that I would like to use to skip to different parts of the video as it plays, this works fine on my local machine using cue points but of course online I cannot jump to sections that have not yet been buffered, I'd like to be able to do this if possible. I'm looking at a couple of options at the moment...1, Use a content delivery network that offers a flash media server, as I believe this will sidestep this issue, however this will cost money that isn't really available for this project.2, Split the long movie file up into chunks and have my navigation buttons load a new flv onClick.If I go for option 2 is there any way of keeping a cumulative progress bar running as if it was all one video.
I have a long timeline based animation, about 23 minutes in full. When I test or publish the movie, the SWF freezes with about one and a half minutes of playback time left. The streaming audio, however, continues to play.I know that the error isn't due to some sort of errant stop action at that point in the animation because I have it broken up into several scenes, and if I test the final scene by itself, it does not freeze and plays back correctly. Also, if I rearrange the scenes, the SWF still freezes about 21 minutes and 20 seconds into the animation, which, after rearranging, corresponds to a different point in the animation.
I'm trying to create a shuffle button for my mp3 player. I don't want it to repeat any song in the xml playlist until all the songs are played. Is there to display a random number on the click of a button, without repeating any number in the array until all the numbers in the array are used?
