So I try to compile ffmpeg as I described here after this patch I started seeing .l.bc files but no .swc files. So how to use alchemy completion suite to turn .l.bc into .swc?

So why does the Adobe Alchemy Tool create so much faster running flash byte code than the flex compiler?
Also, when will the flex compiler be able to make similar performance gains? Will it require programmer specific use of special Array's or something of that nature to get the same performance?
I'm trying to use Adobe's OggVorbis library. But I can't seem to get the Sound object to loop. I even tried looping the _sound object inside the AudioDecoder.as in the "com.automatastudios.audio.audiodecoder" package. Do you really have to reload the file and stream it over and over?

View 2 RepliesI am trying to send a bytearray extracted from a file to the C code and return that bytearray again from the C code..I am printing the contents of the return value from C in a text view contents.text but all i can see is the byte array object "OggS". I can't see the contents of the byte array. Can anyone say where i am going wrong?.. I have posted the C code and the AS code.

I wanted to make live drums play with keyboard shortcuts. The problem was that MP3 is not good enough in this case (encoders adds random silence at beginning of the sound) and also flash itself makes delay (I tried use already buffered file with play specified_start_point_in_miliseconds)). So my solution is OGG (this format is gapless). I use compiled swc file from Adobe Alchemy library and simple frontend for it. Everything works fine, OGG file is playing, but its still much delay - no matter if its lodeaded external or as embedded, and if its first or n time. How to make sound play fast equally to key press.

I am converting a speexdecoder code to C in alchemy. The problem is that i am importing a header file #include <speex/speex.h>. Alchemy gcc gives an error that speex.h not found. I have placed the speex directory where my C code is.
View 1 RepliesI made an application in Flex 4. When I export a release build, it generates a whole bunch of files. (including the skins used, etc, etc.)How do I make those plentiful files except the container HTML file, get compiled into a single SWF file?E.g.My folder should only contain:
my_app.swf
my_app.html
But my_app.swf should still run like a normal Flex 4 app, only this time, all the files, images, skins, etc are inside that one SWF file.
I have been given an SWF to edit a link in the AS code. The fact is the SWF uses some XML that is generated (actually retrieved) by PHP code from a database. menuXML.load("/sub/page/dynamic.php?genre=" + genre); so the point is we can use the same SWF 'mainfraim' and fill them with different animations/sources based on the link provided in dynamic.php?genre=### Now, I've used Flash Decompiler Gold to extract all files in the SWF and can open it again in Adobe Flash to edit it. When done I enter CTRL+ENTER and there are immediately 4 compiler errors!! Errors:
1x < Unexpected 'if' encountered >
2x < Statement block must be terminated by '}' >
1x < Ecpected a field name after '.' operator. >
How can these errors be present, when the original SWF works perfectly??! If I don't manage to solve this, I'll have to find out how to create an .php file the SWF tries to use which can select the proper resources (from a database I guess) to show them (using ?genre=###)

SUDDENLY, when i move all the files off of my desktop into a different folder, i receive compiler errors, stating it can not find my custom class .as file, even though it's in the same folder! why is this happening? here's my entire frame script:

After changing the Flex SDK to 3.6 (from 4.5.1) so as to target Flash player 9.0.124, the project no longer compiles, producing spurious errors such as XML does not have matching begin and end tags leading me to believe that the compilation process is 'borked'.
This is a pure AS project, and so should have no dependency on the Flex SDK, howver, it seeems to be inextricably linked to the Flex 4.x SDK and Flash Player 10+. I have tried swf-version and -target-player-version in the compiler arguments, but there is still something I am missing to get this to compile for Flash player 9.

Also it excludes .mxml files, but that's good. I'm sure that's related, how to change what it includes or excludes?

View 1 RepliesI have successfully added a Google Map Flash API using AS3 to page turning software that I use but the issue is when I upload it to the server online the Google Map stops all other swf files from working within the book when I turn a page. The map works fine online but removes two pages either side of where the map is placed. Anybody know why this is happening and any solution on how to get it working? Everything within the page turning software works fine when I test it locally so the issue is online somewhere. Maybe I could use something that stops the map from working when the page is changed?

How can I confirm that?

I'll start off by saying I'm a newbie, just putting that out there. How do you make a turn by turn multiplayer flash game? I don't know if an engine is made in AS3, PHP, Javascript, or whatever,I made my game already, it's just that it isn'tmultiplayer yet. Basically, there are lines, and each player crosses out a number of lines, and the last player to cross out a line is the loser. I want it where one user crosses out some lines, then presses End Turn, then the other does their turn and then presses End Turn to allow the other player to move his cursor. But how can I get both players to see the same frame and only have one player have the ability to move the cursor during a turn? I want to generate my own classes using air, I just have not found anything that explains how I can save say a text file as a .as file.
I am writing a basic Air app where one of the features is the ability to stream voicemail off of a local PBX.The voicemails are saved in WAV format and due to outside factors this cannot be changed. According to the Air docs there is no support for the audio tag because the flash player is built in, however, the flash player doesn't support wav files.
Was this just a large oversight on Adobe's part or am I missing something obvious here?
