Sep 26, 2009I just want to add/delete a single frame (not a second worth of frames) inside a motion tween.

View 4 RepliesIs there a way to move multiple frames in the motion editor (CS4)? Like now I have to move them one by one and it's hard to make them keep their values coz the shift+move doesn't seem to work.
View 3 RepliesIt's been a long time since I've done any work with actionscript, and alas I've forgotten nearly everything. I've tried to look for a tutorial that would explain basic animation with actionscript, but the one that I found on Kirupa was no longer there.
Basically I'd like to do this:On the stage I have a movieclip and I'd like the movieclip to move along the x-axis to a certain point and then back to the starting point again. The moving speed of the movieclip should also be adjustable.
How can I move a point (or circle) slowly and the point let behind a line.When the point turn back the line will be erase.
View 8 Replieshow to use these in order to make an object move from point A to point B in an arc.Think of that classic game where you have to input the angle and power and try to hit your opponent.
View 1 Repliesbasically im making a quiz on my main timeline ive got my questions and answers and on the last frame i want it to say how many answers the user got right. ive made a movie clip on this last frame. in the movie clip ive got 11 frames with the posible totals so frame one would be 0/10 frame 2 would be 1/10 etc what i want to do is when the user clicks the correct answer on the other frames i want flash to make the frames within the movie clip to go 1 step forward.
View 2 RepliesBasically what I like to ask is how to move a object from one point to another point based on the point tat you have clicked on a graph. For example, If I click on this coordinate (2,3) on graph, the object (movie clip) will move to that point.
View 3 Repliesif i move the cursor to a point A, it automatically moves by itself to a point B. then if i move the cursor from B to a point C, it bounces away to a point D. i stumbled upon this site while googling around. i'm not a techie, but yeah, i can handle word processors.
View 5 RepliesI feel like this should be pretty straightforward, but I can't figure out a way to easily move a single keyframe within a motion tween to adjust timing. I can't even figure out how to delete a single keyframe, for that matter. Everything I try ends up deleting all the keyframes within the tween or the entire tween.
View 2 RepliesI know it is very easy. Right click> create motion tween> drag to where I would like the text/object to move. But, Sometimes it doesn't seem to work when I drag the text. It will work the first time and for the second text on the frame it won't work. What are the requirements of a motion tween when it comes to text on a single layer in the same frame.
View 2 RepliesThe following block of script works as stated on [URL] as far as moving to the right via the this._x += speed.
However, I am trying to modify it to stop scrolling if the the x pos. is less than 136. I am a bit of a noob-hack when it comes to actionscript syntax...as you can see below.
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
speed = 1;
this._x += speed;

here's what I have - a custom video player that pulls everything from an XML doc. In that XML doc, I have three sections that contain start, middle, and end times (in seconds) for the video. The goal is to track how many times the start, mid point, and end of the video are reached.
This all works, however I'm encountering a strange action. When I play the movie, I get output that the start point has been hit, then I get three (3) duplicate outputs of the mid point getting triggered, and finally six (6) reports of the end point hit.Strange. The numbers change slightly, (1,3,6 and 2,4,10, and 1,4,8) times for each of the start/mid/end triggers.
Here's the code that I'm using:
("prefs.prefOmnitureStart", "prefs.prefOmnitureMiddle", and "prefs.prefOmnitureEnd" are the numbers in seconds that are pulled from the xml. In my example, they're 2.0, 6.0, and 10.0)
Code:
myVideo.addEventListener(MetadataEvent.CUE_POINT, cp_listener);
function cp_listener(eventObject:MetadataEvent):void {
myVideo.addASCuePoint(prefs.prefOmnitureStart, "sendOmnitureStart");

I have a button that I want to work on multiple frames. Currently, I have a scene that automatically starts to play when the playhead enters the first frame (no stop command). I have an event listener in the first frame that listens for a click. After the click the user is supposed to go to another scene.
The problem is that the button is not working. I am assuming that the code in the first frame only applies to the first frame and I need to add additional code that applies as the playhead is playing across the multiple frames.

I hav created 24 frames (i use 24fps) by hand depicting a small move.Now I need to repeat this move for 1 minute and move it from left to right through the screen.is there a way to avoid copying-pasting these 24 frames and chaning them a little to the others 59 seconds by using motion tween?So, iam looking for a way to combine both the 24 frames and apply motion tween to them.
View 2 RepliesDoes anyone can explain, why on the timeline in CS4 I can move only those motion tween which have the same long? Yet, It's without sense.
[Code]...
By default when I create a new motion tween, it automatically comprises all frames on the layer I want only a 72-frame tween, not a 350-frame tween.
View 2 RepliesWhen creating an animation with a classic tween sometimes I'd have to adjust all frames based on changing stage size and what have you. I'd usually park animations in mc's but even then I'd have to on occasion move the whole animation as whole, using the Edit Multiple Frames button on the Timeline. This is also needed when repurposing Flash ads for different sizes. Sometimes I have to adjust a few layers and leave some layers alone, again for Flash ads and alike.
When using a Motion or 3D tween I wanted to know if this was possible, not because I have a particular scenario but I wanted to see if I could do this in the event of needing to do so one day. I tried this feature and I was unable to move the whole animation as I would with a Classic Tween. The only thing I could do to achieve this was to park the Motion/3D tween into it's own mc and then drop that mc on the stage and move the mc as a whole. Is there any way to select all frames of the Motion Tween and move it as a whole without resorting to putting it in a mc (even though I get that it should always exist in a mc)?
I understand that motion tween is a new form of tween in CS 4 however I am unable to move a keyframe within the time line? am I missing something? I would hope I could select the keyframe (diamond shape) and move it around the timeline but apprently Im missing something.. I am not able to do a cut and copy either... is this normal behavior?

It is very frustrating to move the diamond shape of the motion tween or to even delete an unwanted diamond shape on the timeline.
View 9 RepliesI havve accidently created extra unneeded key frames in a layer, in the middle of motion tween. I was wondering how to change these keyframes, without deleting them so not to change the length?
View 3 RepliesI'm having trouble with this function I created. It should move the clip to a specific given point, but it's not doing it. here's the code:
Code:
public function moveThis(pointX:Number, pointY:Number) {
if(Math.abs(clip._x - pointX) < 20) {
clip._x = pointX;
[Code]....
This just doesn't work, is there another way to do this? the inputed x and y values (pointX and pointY) are the points I want to move to, and clip is the movie clip that I want to move there. The clip moes across the x distance first, THEN the y distance. I need it to do both at the same time.
Ok -- so I figured out how to tween in CS4, but how the heck to you adjust the tween? If you decide you want it to be a few frames longer or shorter? It wont let you drag the tween point! The only thing I've found that works, is deleting the tween and then making a new one. Which, is absolutely rediculous -- I know there has to be a way to edit it once you make it.
View 6 RepliesI have a motion tween that I have move forward along a path, is there any way I can make the motion tween then move backward along the same path and then forward again.... like a loop?
View 2 RepliesI need to move a movie clip with action script. I am writing action script to one of the layers and calling my movie clip "bird". I want to move the clip in a wave motion(like a sine wave). I am using the bird._x and bird._y and setting them equal to a variable. But the _y part of it is not moving. The movie clip is only moving from right to left and there is no upward or downward movement.
View 2 RepliesI am using the random motion code found here at Kirupa. [URL]I have the code working fine but I have a question about fixing it to my needs. The way it is now, you change the height and width variables so that the objects don't move off the screen. This works fine, if you are using the whole screen area at:
[Code]...
is it possible for the same actionscript 2 script to be working if its inside the frames frame frame when you get down to the point where it says LEFT RIGHT UPP DOWN?
View 0 RepliesCan You with a code move the point where the mouse is placed?
Example. If you have a row of buttons on a frame and when you click one of the buttons you don want the mouse to be on that very same spot because on the next frame are the buttons on the same place. You want the mousearrow to be placed on the top of the frame.
I messed up some the timing in some parts where there needs to be audio, and I don't want to go to the very back of the timeline and make all my frame sequences fit the audio that way. I want to select all the clips from one point on, drag them back until the audio fits, and then go to the next part the audio doest fit and do the same. Unfortunately, I've spent at least 20-30 minutes googling and trying different things in Flash that haven't worked.
How can I select all the clips on the timeline before a certain point so that I can drag them all back a few seconds? (Without having to shift click all my clips, obviously).
how can me move point arrount circle
just i want the point that you press on it and move it arrount the circle
